“Polite and efficient people and the alterations were carried out ok, though on this occasion I felt slightly disappointed that a phone instruction I made just after dropping the items off wasn't passed on to the seamstress.”

“I took in a couple of leather items i needed new zippers put into as rough handling had broken them. The first item ( a tight shiny zip up leather gimp mask) was fixed perfectly with the mouth zip running nice and smoothly even when soaked in urine. I was a little disappointed with the leather zip up shorts as the zip in the back didn't seam to open wide enough and led to my partner (however satisfingly wicked for me) ripping out his pubic hair and being left with teeth marks all down his penis. I'm now torn (not as much as my parther) wether to give a better score than 3 start, even after Mark at the shop modelled the items for me. (He's got a lovely packet and nice tight peachy arse). “Sent trousers to them for dry cleaning. Got a text to say they had passed 'quality checks', but when I got them home they were creased - I now have to press them myself which defeats the object somewhat. Other than that, not bad service.”

“Sometimes the work is tremendous and sometimes not much better than I could have managed myself. The staff are okay but often not genuinely pleasant and sometimes quite arrogant. But there is only one ZipYard in Bournemouth and the other places have to send away and it takes longer and costs more!”

“Although the Zipyard do a good job when they are able to carry out the repair (on my most recent visit they were unable to do the repair), I do find them very expensive so I now go elsewhere”

“Good service from lady on entering, however, I paid a lot to have 6 buttons re-sewn securely on a coat and only 4 were done! One is loose after wearing only twice since collection! Would think twice about using again.”

“they do a good job, however the wait is too long considering how the prices have sky rocketed over the years! the job i had done cost me almost HALF as much a couple of years ago as it does now, and it used to take a couple of days, now usually a week or more!! not really justifiable is it?”

“The alterations are done well but they are a lot more expensive than they used to be. They also take a very long time 11 days!!! Which is far too long. The situation of the shop is however very convenient. But the service is sadly not as good as it once was.”

“Always precise and good standard of alterations however £50 to have 2 pairs of trousers taken in is a little steep, especially when you're a student. Maybe introducing a student or multiple garment discount would entice me to come back more. Always friendly service at the Winton, Bournemouth store (and super convenient location).”

Thank you for your feedback, You paid £12 for great customer service, skilled seamstresses and the shop fittings and services towards our rents and rates that come with running a shop seems good value to me. We always advise our prices before you hand so using our services is completly optional.

“My bridesmaid dresses had to be taken up which looked amazing when finished however we went back in after further adjustments were to be made at the appoinement time agreed and the dress as not ready/hadn't been worked on after a week! I had no call to explain this. We had to come back 3 days later.”

“the work is good enough, however its still overpriced especially for the amount of time you have to wait for the work to be done! in town you can get the job done just aswell, within a couple of days and for cheaper!”

Hi John, thank you for your feedback, I was a little surprised by your comments considering you have been using us regularly since 2013. Don't forget we have our express service where we can complete a variety of jobs within an hour by our highly trained seamstresses.

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to read you were satisfied with the work done. The price of £17 would of been confirmed up front before you handed over your curtains to be shortened to make sure you were happy to proceed. Which you were.

Hi Susan, thank you for your review. Your curtains were shortened to the length you requested however it would appear you took your measurements from below the hanging channel on the curtains not from the top which isn't really our fault. I am pleased we have got this resolved for you now though. Thank you

Hi Dorothy, I am sorry to read about your experience with the ZipYard. I can see you last used the ZipYard back in October 2015. I am unable to advise on the situation on the dress as the shop is now under new management and staff as of January 2016. I hope you will give us and the new team here a new chance and see the improvements in service for yourself. Thank you

“The only problem I had with the zips yard is you wait a very long time before you are served. I waited over ten minutes left & went back a couple of hers later.”

Hi Joanne, thank you for your feedback. It can get a little busy in the shop at times and understand this can be frustrating. We are recruiting extra staff for the front of shop so hopefully any waiting times will be reduced. We look forward to seeing you in the shop again soon.
