“I had never EVER coloured my hair so by age 36, I was very apprehensive about starting. I'd watch my friend's horror stories using home colour during the late 90's and early 2000's and was just so against the entire process. When I finally started to have grey's come in, my confidence took a wee hit. As a natural redhead, my hair colour was a firm part of my identity and so I knew I needed something natural that I could easily maintain myself, didn't cost the earth and didn't look like bottled ginger. I found The Shade by word of mouth. The colourist I spoke with put me at ease and they sent me everything I needed to successfully colour my hair myself. With zero experience under my belt, I now have my natural young me hair colour back with no damage and no horror story. I loved the entire experience from website, and questionnaire to support to end colour result. 12/10 keep doing your thing guys! I'll be a lifetime customer.”

“If only I knew about The Shade during the lockdowns! Superb colour choices. In-depth assistance and support by knowledgeable experts/colourists. My hair is naturally dry and is always brittle after dyeing but the quality of The Shade products (smells and feels amazing) makes my hair look better than I could've possibly hoped for. “I decided to try your product as my wife has used it for sometime and she is very happy with it. I wanted to reduce my grey without it looking obvious. I have used other products for years but had scalp irritation recently due to the chemicals in the product. Plus it was not covering my greys near the roots. I emailed one of your advisors who was extremely helpful in assisting me find just the look I wanted. I am very very happy with the shade and colour and no one has said Iā€™ve had my hair coloured, which is just what I wanted. “I was super nervous initially, but the colour consultants were fantastic and gave me so much advice and help! I eventually went with a Duo of Bellara Dark Ash Blonde and Montecristo Light Ash Brown. I found that it didn't totally cover some of my really fine grey hairs, but that could also have been my application method, so I'll make sure to apply more dye to those trouble spots next time. Overall, I'm happy with the colour and it has saved me SO MUCH money at the salon.”

“Great product! It's a bit daunting buying hair colour on the internet for obvious reasons but I don't have time (or honestly the patience) to sit in a chair. My last hair (foils) took 4 hrs. I opted for Chocolate Blonde which in my hair came out as a dark red which is a fun colour. I loved the dramatic change. I've included photos these were taken under the heat lamp so show the end result as closer to how it looked in real life. The last photo was in average bathroom lighting. It covered my greys and is lasting really well considering I wash my hair everyday. The colour has faded into more of a soft brown which is nice. Definitely will buy again - to have new hair at home in 35 minutes is fantastic. The packaging and product is great and the conditioner that came with it is amazing so will have to buy that too!”
