“I absolutely love the results :) my hair feels so soft and silky afterwards and the colour is a beautiful natural brown. The kit gives you so many tools to use for future dying and the quality of everything was great. I have very long hair so there was more than enough product to colour everything. In these lockdown times, it was great to have everything delivered to my door in an all-in-one easy kit. I’m thinking I may never need to go to a salon for colouring anymore haha. “I used the Vitamin C powder to remove purple shampoo that turned my hair lavender. I was pleasantly surprised by how much colour it removed. However I needed two packets. I then repeated the process and came out with a nice colour but you do need to follow up with a toner. My hair turned pink where it grows naturally white after 2 days. When I put the ash blonde toner on it removed the pink and to my surprise and delight it softened the demarcation line between my colour and regrowth. Very happy and the products were very low odour which is incredible. I’m a convert😆”

“Not great, not terrible. I always use 20 volume with colour to cover my grays without issue, but The Shade hasn’t completely covered them (I’m 32, they’re not tough grays yet). The colour took to most of my hair, but hasn’t lasted as well as I’d hoped. Within 4 washes, I feel as though my hair needs a toner and that the colour had washed out of my ends. Also, since colouring, it’s been feeling pretty dry and flat. I use high quality colour and hydrating shampoo and conditioner, so that’s not the reason. Might use again if I’m desperate, but probably not.”

“This is a game changer for me. Im a busy mum and dont like sitting in a salon having my hair done for long periods of time so this product was perfect for me. The service from start to finish has exceeded expectations. From the easy questionnaire, extremely prompt response times to the sleek packaging that contains everything you need from start to finish including shampoo and conditioner (that left my hair so soft and shiny), amazing smelling product's that dont have the nasty smell of salon or supermarket dyes. You thought of everything. I am seriously impressed!”

“Fantastic find! This will definitely be my go-to for colour going forward. Great value for money, and it works brilliantly on stubborn greys. It was always so frustrating leaving the salon after spending over $140 on a root touch-up, only to notice the same grey patches reappearing just days later. Such a relief to have found something that actually holds. I also appreciated that the colourist recommended 27 vol developer for a higher lift — a really helpful tip. Highly recommend Shade!”

“I didn’t expect to love at-home hair colour this much, but the Shade has made it so easy that I actually keep up with it now. I’ve never really dyed my hair myself before, but the instructions are super clear and easy to follow, so it didn’t feel intimidating at all. My hair comes out really glossy and shiny every time, and I’ve had heaps of compliments. People are always surprised when I say I did it at home. I also have sensitive skin and usually react to salon dyes, so I was a bit nervous, but I haven’t had any reactions with this at all. Plus it’s way cheaper than the salon and still looks just as good.”

“I bought the Dark Golden Blond because it seemed the closest to my natural colour and would cover the grey. It did cover the grey but now I'm a red head. I had no previous colour in my hair and my initial reaction was 'Oh No' but it's growing on me, thanks to the many compliments I've received. The product was easy to use, didn't smell bad and didn't give me eye burn like fumes from toxic products do. I'll be buying it again.”

“Wonderful result as always, I used Imola this time (Dark Golden Blonde)and mixed in a few drops of Light Brown colour. Wonderful colour, rich dark "Bronde" with nice red and caramel high;ights, the perfect colour. Very shiny, soft and just looks and feels great. After experimenting with many hair colours over the years - including many salon visits, The Shade is my go-to for perfect, no surprises, great looking and feeling hair.”
