“Like the idea of the subscription and less chemicals in the product. Liked the packaging and kit you get. Was never happy with the result though. I have dark brown hair and a lot of grey. I was recommended to use a pre developer and did every time. Result looked great for about 2 days then the brassiness came through on the greys and looked orange. I did discuss options and changed to a different shade but had the same results. Supermarket packets give me a better result than this did so I am going back to that and have cancelled my subscription.”

Hi Anita, Thanks for getting in touch. I'm sorry you weren't happy with your result. We now have 27vol developer available which is specially formulated for stubborn greys. It will also reduce brassiness. I would be happy to ship you a free Colour Kit with 27 vol developer for you to try. I would also suggest you try Toscano 4.1 Dark Ash Brown which is a cool colour which will eliminate any warm tones. I am very confident that you'll be happy with the result. “Colour good, as expected. I have good coverage. A lot of packaging and wastage which is a bit of a shame. The package contents will easily do 2 dyes for my length hair if it doesn’t dry out in the meantime. Order to delivery turnaround was great.”

“Made the mistake of trying to bleach some of my hair and it went all shades of yellow and gold. I toned it with the beige blonde and it covered all of yellow/gold and looks great. It is slightly darker than I wanted but still looks 100% better than it was. Thanks Shade!”

As you selected the "one time purchase" option rather than the "membership" option, there are no recurring orders. You will need to re-order the next time you want to order. I hope this help!

“The colour is good, i got the light ash brown in the semi and my hair is a dark brown and it gives it a nice shine and doesn't look brassy. However, my hair does get very dry afterwards which is a little disappointing.”

“I don't know how I ended up going on auto order but it happened. I tried to undo it, but then got another colour! The wrong colour! Now I have 2 wrong colours still in the box unopened but cannot return them! Not happy with how easy it is to go on auto delivery and how hard it is to get out of it.”

Hi Janette, Thanks for getting in touch. When you place an order, you are given the option of either a one-time purchase, or a membership with auto-ship. You selected the membership option. You can cancel, pause or modify your membership from your online account at anytime. I can see that you've cancelled your membership, so you won't receive anything further. I hope this helps!

“Ordered golden copper brown for roots and golden copper blonde for mid length and ends. I am really pleased with the outcome. It was fun to do at home as a little pamper for myself rather than 5 hours at the hairdressers for $300 +. The results are a really lovely vibrant colour. Absolutely must use a treatment after dye though due to it being quite harsh on the hair. After the treatment though it feels just like leaving the salon. Love love love the packaging and kit provided so handy. Will definitely use again.”

“Love this hair dye! It doesn't make my hair dry and dull like so many others I've tried. No irritation at all, no itchy little bumps on my scalp! The shampoo and conditioner smell wonderful and leave my hair soft and shiny. Absolutely recommend this product!”

“I like using The Shade products at home to minimise cost and decide at the last moment to colour hair, without the hassle of getting a hairdresser appointment. I feel more able to keep on top of hair looking good, when I am in control. Furthermore, avoid problems with hairdresser not listening to what you want. I was worried about continual permanent dye going through my entire lengths, also a different colour every time because they just mix it up randomly and don't keep a record. I felt like the hairdressers didn't really care as long as you walk out today looking good. The other thing is I was looking for natural products and concerned about what nasties are being absorbed into the body.”
