“Tank ordered incorrect size on web site”

“Purchased a Petrol Tank with pump. Unfortunately its use isn't user friendly and until you try it you find it's not suitable and your unable to return said item because you have tried to use it. It took 4 weeks to arrive. Products are way to expensive to obtain an alternative. Don't say an item is on a pump when it's gravity fed...how can you possibly get a 52litre tank higher than said petrol inlet!!”

We appreciate your point about the product description. We have checked the description and this is exactly as the manufacturer describes it, as well as other online resllers. There is a hand pump on the unit that you need to depress to pump the petrol in an upwards direction. We're sorry that this isn't as you expected. As you say, the more advanced versions are considerably more money. We regret to inform you that as per our return policy, we are unable to accept returns for products that have been used. We do apologize for the delay in the delivery of your order. We did advise you of the delay immediately after you placed the order and you advised us that you were happy to wait. We strive to provide efficient and timely service to all our customers. Occasionally items are out of stock but we do our best to communicate through the whole process. We genuinely value your input.

“Tank arrived damaged as it came with no protective packaging and was clearly dragged on the bit that will show in the van.”

“Although the process of ordering the Tank was easy with staff helping to choose the most suitable tank. The delivery was exceptionally poor. I did explain that I did have an issue with my lifting machine that is needed to move the tank and I was told that the driver can unload the tank. I didn't have a delivery time so I was not present at the time of delivery of the tank ( I was 10 minutes away and I asked to be informed so I am on site). The driver talked to a nearby property who have nothing to do with my business. The driver lowered the tank in an unsuitable place and took the signature for delivery from that man who has nothing to do with my business. I am pleased that the man didn't come with a machine to take the tank (worth few thousand pounds) for himself. I was told after that it is curbside delivery only. I needed the tank 5 meters away from that site it was dropped clear to all passers-by. I would advise against buying from this site, except if you can move a few hundred kilograms tank with your machine on your own. It costs me a considerable amount to rent a machine as the driver was too lazy to phone me or contact me before attending to ask what I want to do. He simply didn't want to make any effort to ensure safe delivery of the tank.”

As per our emails I have looked into this and the driver was under the impression that the person on site that he spoke with had called you, and you had directed him on where to leave the tank. We completely understand that the situation was inconvenient for you; we not only want to provide you with a tank, but want your full experience with us to be positive, which in this case it wasn't. We have passed your comments on to the haulier and they will learn from this unique experience.

“£9 delivery charge on something that cost £4 to post with Royal Mail. Item alone cost £3 after being told wrong tap when order water tank”

I´m really sorry that you are disappointed with our service and delivery costs. As you will see from our other reviews this is a rare occurrence. You purchased the tank on the website and made the tap selection yourself. If we had advised you we would have done so based on the information you provided. As it was the hose tail was the wrong size for your hose. We therefore contacted Wydale and asked them to advise what extra components could be supplied to adapt the tap kit to your size hose, rather than you having to buy a whole new tap kit. This is what we supplied and I assume from your review that this has solved the problem. The delivery charge was charged at cost (what we were charged by Wydale) which was £7.50 + Vat (£9). This would include the packaging cost and the picking and packing time. I hope this explains things for you and others.
