“I have been a loyal customer of torrid for years, to the point where 95% of my wardrobe is torrid. The last couple of years the quality has gone down significantly, the prices seem to stay the same for worst items. I’ve over looked this in the past and have included to shop here, until today. I placed an order for two summer dresses (I really only wanted one but they had a sale going on) I used $50 in torrid cash and waited for my order. I get an email that says a part of my order was cancelled (the dress I actually wanted) reasoning unavailable, I think to myself that’s odd it’s a new line how I can it be unavailable. I go to the website where the dress remains listed as available with stock in my size (only one but still this gives you hope). I contacted torrid via the chat option I get kicked out twice with my question not being answered (why did my order get cancelled when your website shows you have stock), finally I talk myself into calling. No one seems to speak English as their first language (causing them to focus on what they can understand and not the problem at hand) the lady spills off something about the website has stock but the warehouse doesn’t (how does that work? Your website is a reflection of your warehouse). Never did get my torrid cash back and ended up paying more for the one dress then I did for the two, I do plan to return the dress. I don’t know if this is their way of trying to make money or what but they have lost a customer.”
“Torrid no longer sends bills in the mail and if you want a bill in the mail it's going to cost you money. I don't believe that this is the legal! There is no way that they should charge me for sending me a bill in the mail. Sending bills is a cost of doing business and Torrid needs to write that off on their taxes just like any other business not charge me to send me a bill in the mail. Now, I have a late fee that I am "ineligible" to have removed because I didn't get an email in time to pay my bill. They sent me a text when I was late but couldn't send me a text before I was late???? They're gouging us for these late fees over this and it's going to be a class action lawsuit I can guarantee it!”
“Don't ever be late. My husband had a stroke and was having issues paying bills with being in and out of hospital. Paid bill off two days after due. Asked if they could wave late fee and would only do 15 dollars of 42.00 due. Never heard of a company waving late with only partial payment. Had to call 3 times due to being transferred and call getting disconnected. will never use their card again.”
“I've been a client of Torrid for years, my past order I re-ordered my favourites, the girlfriend t-shirt. After ONE wash, its already showing pilly / worn patches over the t-shirts. Super disappointing! The quality of their clothing has really gone down & the prices have gone up.”
“I have been buying all of my jeans from Torrid and spending all of this money on what I thought was high quality jeans. All of my jeans seams to be ripping at the back pocket and splitting all the way down. For what I pay I would not expect that at all.”
“Torrid is seriously expensive very minimal items are mark downs but still at a high price. I understand that as a bigger sized woman it gets harder to find clothes that fit and look nice but don’t take advantage of us bigger sized people in need of a cute look! Be considerate with the prices and last but not least the Escondido Torrid seriously needs to improve communication skills when it comes to the return policy I had purchased a shirt and couldn’t try it on so I thought oh well if at home it doesn’t fit I can come and return or exchange… To my surprise I had to run an errand and I decided to stop by that same day but at a later time. Well, comes to know that the gall who sold me the shirt swears she told me about the clearance final sale no return policy That is BS if I would of known I would of left the item and maybe purchased it another day when I could try it on. But anyway they lack on professionalism having that said I sure hope my opinion doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings.

“I lost my brother to COVID on 10/19. My payment was due on 10/21. It was paid on 10/22. Since the payment was set up through my bank I did not think it would be late nor was I in the frame of mind to check. I was charged a late fee. Then the following month I was charged a late fee because of the late fee I was unaware of. When I called to straighten this out they said they would dismiss the first late fee but not the second one which was caused from the first late fee. I have never been late on a payment and always pay my balance in full. The customer service people were rude and when I asked to speak to a manager I was hung up on. I closed out my account and will encourage anyone to not do business with them. This is the worst experience I have had with any credit card.”
“Does anyone else get really excited about something they see at Torrid, then when you finally have the ability to make that long awaited purchase you are left DISAPPOINTED?
Saw Pink & Navy Paisley Dot High Heel Sandals and fell in LOVE with them, I couldn't wait to own them. Finally, I made the purchase. Size 8.5, they arrive and well they fit like an 11. Thought maybe I got the wrong size, but no - correct size. Measured the shoe toe to heel, it measures 10.5". Tried to return them because they are too big and that isn't my fault....but nope, they are "final sale" they can't take them back. Beyond that, the sales person explained to me "the description states they fit true to size so they fit true to size"...umm sales lady really? I moved my feet around to try to get them to fit better, but I would break my neck if I attempted to wear these anywhere. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!! time to find a new shopping place that cares about its customers. What a waste of money.”
