“I have been shopping in 15 years in Centreville. I used to have good customer service. Lately there is new staff. And I have experienced racism. They insult minorities. My other friends have felt it too. There should be class action lawsuit on this company.

“I used to love Trader Joe’s. Told everyone to shop there; however, it appears that Trader Joe’s is no longer providing products for vegan eaters. Currently my local Trader Joe’s carries fewer vegan products than a local grocery store. I guess they no longer need vegan eaters anymore.”

“Have been shopping at Traders Joe for a few years. Have been overall happy with the items and you can't beat the customer service. However, today I purchased Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettuccine Alfredo and got 4 maybe 5 tiny size of chicken and half a bottle of sauce and half a bag of Fettuccine noodles. In other words I got 4 to 5 bites! The rest is going into the garbage! Very disappointed!”
“I’m a working woman and I shop at Trader Joe’s minimum 3 times a week. They have this organic pasture raised eggs that I prefer that they get sold out by 9am. I asked them to save a carton for me because there is no way I can make it at their store at 8:00am as my work day starts at 7:30am and they refused. I told them to have another delivery in the afternoon they still said no. I think they are being bias and catering only for non working customers.”

Aldi in Germany.....the Albrecht....which own TJ.....are the richest family in Germany and around the world and they sell mineral water.... double size than here for about 0.20 cents a bottle....how can be that here water has to be more expensive than gasoline..... maybe greed or what..... shameful because nobody has to speculate with normal water with some added carbon dioxide making as it was a luxury good...... again shameful.....”
“This is the second time the crew members have asked me what disability I have that I need a service dog. They violate the ADA law and were trained to ask these questions. They also told me that if my dog is emotional support, they don't allow her. She was wearing an identifying Service Dog vest. It's mortifying having people stare when having your rights violated. I would not recommend Trader Joe's to anyone with any disability or service animal. Shame on them!”
“I'm usually very pleased with the Royal Oak, Michigan Woodward store, but not on my last visit. Oh, there was a few items I wanted to purchase that were missing, but the check out process was terrible. All through my $58 purchase, the cashier was chit chatting with another employee standing nearby. I watched close to see that everything scanned properly. No the other employe was not at a register. I did call and talk with a (one of them) managers, who was very nice and apoligized, but sounded disengenuous. She kind of made the excuse that they are all happy employees in the store and like to share.
Of course I did find out that a Trader Joe's is sheduled to open in Sterling Heights, but that is all up to corporate to decide where. I use to always ask when visiting stores if they would open a store near me, like Sterling Heights, but gave up after a manager just walk away from me. Or another store manager declared that they would miss me if another Trader Joo's took my business - Yeah sure!.”
“I am writing to share an inspirational story of kindness experienced at your Naperville Illinois store on December, 2023. I had had my last check up with my oncology surgeon at the local hospital that morning, and found out I was cancer free after five years of treatments and monitoring.
It would be an understatement to say I was just jubilant as there are no words to really describe the joy and relief I was experiencing. I was happily floating through the store to complete my holiday shopping and had the pleasure of meeting Tim as my cashier.
Tim was very friendly and he observed my big smile of joy when he greeted me. I felt free to share my news and he was very sweet with his congratulations. We got down to business and discussed a second cart would be of benefit for my plentiful purchases, and I offered to go outside to get it as the store was quite busy.
I wasn’t gone five minutes and as I returned to Tim, he had a colleague assisting to bag my groceries who also offered congratulations to me, along with Philomena, the manager standing by Tim with this gorgeous bouquet of holiday flowers.
Suddenly time stood still as if all of the cashiers and shoppers were looking directly at me as I told Philomena I didn’t purchase these flowers. She shared they were a gift from Tim and the store for my great health news. It was such a beautiful gesture and I was completely overwhelmed. Bells were being rang and hugs were shared.
The flowers were: green button mums, red roses, white stock, pine boughs and white lilies that most latest for several weeks. The With our chaotic world events, this positive story was so very treasured.
Thank you very kindly for your time in reading this, and for this amazing experience I will never forget, which I have told a zillion times over the holidays. I am sure it will generate more shoppers to your store.”

He has been such a big help to me finding things and giving me hints on different ways to use them in various recipes. All the staff is friendly. “I was visiting the area from Alabama. I was asked by a friend to pick up some wine from Trader Joe's. When I checked out, I was charged for 6 bottles instead of the 5 I had to purchase. Not catching the error until I arrived home, I contacted the store requesting a correction. (I had paid by credit card and had a receipt with all the information from the transaction) I was told I would have to return to the store or another Trader Joe's for any adjustment or refund. The closest store is over 3 hours away from where I live. Mysteriously, now my thermal paper receipt is almost blank, (faded like diappearing ink) so I probably have no future recourse even if I do get to a store.”
