“I had booked flight from Hyderabad to USA with travelopod for the first time and had worst experience. I will never ever book with them again and will not recommend it to anyone. Such a horrible customer service they have provided. Whenever I call them, they say that they will call me back but I never got any call from them. They are not ready to solve an issue or provide customer satisfaction service. They just say that best price guaranteed but that’s not true. I booked ticket from Hyderabad to Detroit for my parents in February and ticket costed $2100 per person. Due to covid, they couldn’t travel so I had to change dates to June. They charged me $300 extra on each ticket again. I went and checked ticket prizes online and nowhere I see tickets with $2400 and airlines is Air India. I called them back to question about the prize and they say that they cannot book a ticket with cheaper prize even though the ticket is cheap online. They say that since my booking class was high, they will book ticket only with higher prize. What is this logic? I have been traveling internationally from past 10 years and never heard of such stupid policy. They haven’t about this in their website either. I see the prize for a new ticket in June is between $1100 to $1300 and I have paid $1000 extra on each ticket. These people are just looting money and it’s a scam. They do not show us proof for the prize that they charge on each ticket. Total fraud and I suggest not to book tickets with them. I would rate 0.”

“They used to have a very good service. But I’ve been having a horrible time with these guys over the past few months. I don’t know why I end up using their service again and again. This review is to just remind myself that I need to do some research and book tickets through the airlines directly instead of travelopod. I’ve wasted close to $3k-$4K over the past 12 months. It was primarily due to covid but I definitely believe it’s partly due to these guys not giving the right information. When I got frustrated and raised a question based on a clause in the email that they had sent, one of the agents -“CHETAN” basically said to me that they had mistyped a clause on the email that they sent me and i should have clarified all my questions over the call before booking the ticket . And I felt l this guy was actually rude to me. I later had to talk to the supervisor who gave me a discount of $100 (which I do appreciate) . But this is not anywhere close to the money I had wasted for tickets through travelopod over the past 2 years(may not be entirely their fault but I think they fail miserably when it comes to giving you straight forward information on reschedules). I’m never going to use travelopod again”

“I have had the worst experience ever. I was told that I was getting a refund, which I need because I'm not working. They proceeded to tell me that they put the refund on a card that doesn't exist anymore, because during the shut down, I had a ticket that I had to put on hold, which they charged me a hefty fee for. Also, they sent me an email which said that I had to book my new trip before Dec 31, 2021 so I could travel any time in 2022, and when I called to do that, I was told that I had to use it before Dec 31, 2021 which made no sense because at the end I payed more money for my trip than what the airlines were charging, and also they said for a 'cheeper fee' I would have to make two stops to my destination instead of making one. They told me that they would put it on the card that I last used to buy the new ticket because the old card doesn't exist anymore and I called my bank many times because Travelopod kept telling me that they sent the refund, but my bank said over and over again it's not true because the card doesn't exist anymore. Not only that, they told me to make a one time payment and it would be refunded to me, and it never was. I didn't know about the bad reviews until I was on my vacation and they were putting me through hell about my refund. In future I will always read reviews before I do anything ever again. Also, after I made the purchase and the extra purchase of the one time payment that was supposed to be refunded on the new card I used, they asked me to make sure I left a good review for them, which I did, but have now deleted. I have reported them and hopefully will at least get some of my money back, otherwise I will have to hire a lawyer. They were also very rude and hung up the phone on me and also while was leaving my vacation, they called me to ask why I reported them and they would call me back to settle the dispute. They never called back. Beware of this company. They need to be shut down because they're clearly stealing from people.”

“BEWARE !!! When contacting a particular airline for reservations, Be careful to make sure you are ACTUALLY communicating with the ‘legitimate’ airline of your choice. Travelopod inc. uses deceptive business practices to intercept travel customers and runs a scam on people ‘pretending’ to be one of many airlines. Their website looks real, to deceive us, and there might be a slight difference, which is easy to miss. Once you’re engaged it’s too late. They will steal lots money from you once they have your credit card. They did it to me, and they’ll do it to you! Overseas scam businesses, such as this one, are hard to Prosecute. As they’re shut down, another reappears to replace it. Nasty business.”

“Don't use them!!! They have very bad customer service and not helpful at all. I simply wanted to upgrade my ticket to business class and they were giving options which were even higher price than the united website. very very bad experience!!!”

“My husband and I, planned a trip last Year to visit Europe and we got a good offer on tickets. After we checked the travel agency we contact them TRAVELOPOD AGENCY and we paid $1,275 dollars for 2 tickets, but since covid came we decide to cancel the date for travel and we contacted them again and got charged $578 dollars just to change the date and keep our credit during all this year 2021. Now we really want this travel to happen this October from 21-29 and this AGENCY TRAVELOPOD they ask for more money almost the triple of the price for an amount of $1,200 and then after 2 days they ask for $1,800. I decide to contact the airline and Aircanada said they can just see our names on their system but not the money we have spent for the tickets, so Air Canada said we needed a Voucher from TRAVELOPOD. So I called travelopod to ask for a voucher and they hesitated for a while and finally gave it to us, but it doesn’t work. Then we contacted the travel agency again and they want at least $848 if we want to do our trip this October. They promise to call us and they never do that… we’ve been in this situation since last year and is really stressful because they just don’t want gave us our money back or our refund. We’ve been trying to come to an agreement but we haven’t been able to… we already contact our bank, we already reported to BBB but we haven’t received any answers back.”

“I will never recommend to book a ticket from tavelopod. I had very bad experience and the call center or tech guys doesn’t know about the travel baggage information and they give wrong information. I booked a ticket for interconnected flight from us to India and they don’t have any idea how the whole travel process works They promise things before you book ticket One we booked the ticket all the details are wrong And when asked the recorded information while we booked ticket we never get information and no proper help for the consumer This is the worst third party travel agent I never faced”

“I would give them 0 stars if it was available. This company ripped me off. I had a credit voucher that I wanted to use. I thought I had called Southwest but found out that they were a travel agent that represented themselves as Southwest. I asked if I could use my $172.56 travel voucher and they told me that was not a problem. They quoted me a price of over $300 and deducted the voucher which made my flight about $244... I thought, ummm okay I guess. After they used my credit card I decided to check Southwest online and found out that the original price was $249.00 not $300 something. So I called back and canceled. We they refunded my $244.00 but not my $172.00 credit voucher. I asked them about it and they said, that if I wanted to use it, I just had to call them and they would use the voucher on another flight. I told them I didn't want to book with them but with the airline directly... they said they would only give me my credit voucher if I booked through them. Ridiculous... they ripped me off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT IN THE USA AND WILL RIP YOU OFF. THEY ARE FRAUDS.”

“WARNING! Do NOT book with this company. They are not based in the USA - They are clearly an agency in India. I was pressured by the sales person, to book through a certain airline that I had verified was not currently flying due to COVID 19 restrictions. He eventually provided me with a flight option on the airline I had requested even though it was more expensive but I had confirmed they were flying. Once I had confirmation in an email of my flight itinerary I was prompted to make a payment and was told that my payment had gone through and my credit card had been charged. After my payment went through, I had not received any tickets from the airline or travelopod so I investigated with the airline directly who told me that I did not have a ticket but I had a reservation similar to a "waitlist." I called back the next day and spoke to a number of different sales people at Travelopod but I was always told that my original sales person was on the phone and would call me back. After a few hours of calling, I eventually spoke to my sales person who assured me everything was fine and my ticket would be issued in 24-48 hours but when I pressed him on what the airline had told me he sounded worried and unable to answer questions on when my ticket would be issued. I asked to escalate my issue to his supervisor and was told that they would call me back as they were "in a meeting." After a few MORE hours of calling in, I eventually spoke to a "supervisor" who informed me that the flight I had purchased was not available. I had been sold a ticket on a flight where there were no seats available. He told me that he would personally look into additional options on different dates and would call me back within 40 minutes. I NEVER received a call back, instead I received an email from the original sales person stating they had refunded my money and it would take 3 to 4 business days to hit my account. In the mean time I am waiting for the refund and I'm still without a flight. Lesson learned for me.... Always book through the airline directly; this company cannot be trusted.”

“I would give it a zero if I could. They lied to me and pretended they were Southwest Airlines. They told me the wanna get away flights were no longer guaranteed and suggested I upgrade my tickets. They pretended the fee would be $500 a ticket but “helped me out” by charging $100 a ticket. I did not realize I wasn’t speaking to southwest until I received a confirmation text from travelopod. I even asked is this southwest, being suspicious of the bad connection and thick Indian accents. They said yes. False claims. Lies all around. When I called southwest about it they reassured me they never use third party companies and I should not have been charged the extra $300. I called and called to cancel and get my money back and they just gave me the runaround. He’s not here. We will call you back. Finally no to refunded my money. I am still fighting them. Do not use. TOTAL SCAM!!!”
