"What a truly awful company\r\n\r\n*Summary*\r\nCovid-related issues aside, TT are an unprofessional, disrespectful and plainly dishonest company.\r\nThey took almost 5 months, 30+ phonecalls and legal threats to refund our flights.\r\n\r\n*Tactics*\r\nThey employed a variety of tactics to avoid refunding us (and I'm really not being cynical). Some examples:\r\n* Refused to send through any written confirmation of the refund\r\n* Conflicting information (every representative seemed to say different things)\r\n* Noise interference on the line \/ Pretending to not hear me\r\n* Extreme rudeness\r\n* Just plain lies [we know, because my parents had an identical booking and were fed different answers!]\r\n* Failed promises to call back [we were called back just once, I believe]\r\n* Repeatedly promising it would be resolved in two weeks\r\n\r\nThey charged us a \u00a375pp admin fee on the refund, as their T&Cs suggested they 'may charge an admin fee'. They later caved to public pressure and reversed these fees. I suspect it was legal pressure that forced their hand, as \u00a3150 was probably not a reasonable amount to charge for processing a refund.\r\n\r\n*Ticket didn't even work! Would have ruined our holiday*\r\nThey also failed to book correctly in the first instance - issuing a ticket for which the booking reference didn't even work! It was lucky that I ended up speaking with BA, as they said the ticket did not even exist! As a result, TT had to re-issue the ticket. If we hadn't have checked in advance, we would have been refused entry at the airport!\r\n\r\n*Conclusion*\r\nTT can be slightly cheaper than booking direct (or using a reputable agent), but they are simply not worth it. Trust me. This wasn't a one-off bad experience with one representative. Every interaction we had with them was anxiety-inducing. After weeks of calls, I had to visit my GP who diagnosed me with clinical anxiety, and my wife had to continue conversations with TT. This was their tactic from the start - confuse, frustrate and stress out the customer so much that they give up or give in and accept a credit voucher instead.\r\n\r\nThis is the first negative review I have written here (it really takes a lot to offend me).\r\n\r\nNote, I will not be leaving my booking reference (as I never want to hear from TT again), but my review is 100% genuine.\r\n\r\nTravel Trolley absolutely deserve this rating - the company is simply rotten to its core."

“DO NOT USE travel trolley. They are the worst I have ever used. I booked a ticket with them a few weeks ago, called today just to double check a few things for them to tell me, by the way your flight time has changed and been bought forward by 2 hours. i was confused as no one even called me to tell me .. which means i would have turned up to the airport and missed my flight. i then checked my luggage to be told that i couldnt take any on apart from hand luggage. again i was shocked as this is always included and i did not have an option to add on luggage. which i stressed to them. Travel trolley did not want to know and said it was my problem. i assured them i did not see it and if i did i would have clicked the option / or just booked directly through the airline as it would have worked out cheaper. it doesnt make sense. they also told me they cannot help and i cannot get a refun. they also cannot add the bad even though i was willing to pay. i believe travel trolley are there to trick and conn you into paying more money. never will i use again, be careful.”

“As per my experience it was easy and simple without much ads. Of course no hidden charges , you pay what you see that's it your done. Got my tickets within minutes and that too for a cheaper price compared to other sites. But go for it only if your travel is fixed , exchange or postponement comes with higher cost. I haven't travelled yet. I will share the experience if I get any issues during travel.”

“They have cancelled my flight via Hong Kong and could not offer any substitute. Refund of money will take 4-6 weeks ( JOKE indeed!!!!!!!), 2 alternatives they offer - required to pay 180£ and 390£ extra and it's more expensive than ticket from airlines directly. Rubbish !!!!”

“Avoid Booking Through Travel Trolley, I booked a return flight To Hong Kong in November 2019 leaving on February 21st and returning on February 28th 2020 with Travel Trolley flying with Cathay Pacific. I turn 65 years old next month March and due to the Coronavirus do not wish to place myself at risk by travelling to Hong Kong or indeed Asia. I have had three telephone conversations with different members of staff at Travel Trolley who gave me different answers to my request to change my flight to another destination. I was informed by Kamal at Travel Trolley that if I wanted to cancel my flight to Hong Kong the cancellation charge would be £400 and that I would receive a refund of £69.22p. The cost of the return ticket was £469.22 . The cancellation charge seems to me to be outrageous and I can only assume that the person who gains financially is Travel Trolley. Three days ago I emailed Kamal to ask him what options are available to me if I wish to change the flight to an alternative destination and how long is the option to change destination valid for?. I have not received a response from Kamal . I telephoned Travel Trolley earlier this afternoon and asked to speak to Kamal . I was told by a female member of staff that she would put me through and then was told that Kamal was not in the office but would telephone me this afternoon - I'm still waiting to hear from Kamal. For the record it may interest readers to know that the hotel I booked independently in Hong Kong gave me a full refund with no quibble. I would never use this company again and strongly advise anyone thinking of booking a holiday through them to choose an alternative travel agent .”

“a month ago I mainly book my flights with travel trolley, the best so far. Affordable and best in the market. Very quick to respond if you have any queries, professional and simply, a very quick process. I have also recommended others. “Booked flights on their site. On the final page clicked pay, the payment seemed to go through, however I didn't receive any text or email confirmation. Called customer service and was told to call the bank in the morning and there would be no price difference. Bank informed me no payments had been made, went to re-book and the price had risen by £126! Called customer service back and they couldn't care less that their website had failed and customer services were making promises that they had no plans to keep. Terrible approach to customer service!”

“Booked my flight with them to Bangkok, they didn't email me my e-ticket 24hr later like they state they would in email so I had to call up to get them to do it. A month after booking they then emailed me saying to get in contact with them urgently because my flights had changed, after ringing multiple times I finally got through to someone who said I would get a call back in an hour, which I never did. I then had to call back again multiple times to their very unhelpful customer services to finally get through to someone, who then told me my flight times had been changed so i would no longer be able to catch my connecting flight. I was given the choices of a full refund or to get a flight three days later which is of no good. I stupidly said I'd have a think about it and give them a call back, this was three days ago and I have yet been able to get in contact with them. Would never book through them again!!”

“Check the reviews. Do not give them your card details. Others been subject to credit card fraud after using this company. Sell tickets at one price. You buy then they tell you the flights aren’t available. They cancel your booking reference number and you could be left with no flights when you think you have paid. Avoid at all costs.”

“Booked flights this morning, entered all my families personal details and our bank details, payment confirmed with reference number. Few hours later still no email of confirmation!? Called them to be told they would ring me back.. no phone call.. phoned them back again to be told they werent going to authorise my booking as that price was "an offer price" and those seats were already sold and now price has more than doubled!!!! I booked the tickets as soon as i saw the advertised price, even got a reference code!!! Which they have now told me is void!? Absolute scam.. they now have all my personal family details as well as my card details!! And we have no flights!!!”

“Quick and easy booking through Skyscanner. However, when called customer service to make an enquiry I had the one representative called TONY! Very rude, disrespectful and acted like it was his company. Refused to help me and blamed it on data protection without even asking me any security questions. Hung up on me. Called again and spoke to Depika, who helped once I passed security. Asked to speak to a manager which TONY! Refused and was told I would get a call back from Anna, waited 5hrs no response. Indian based call centre no the service I expected and lack of respect.”
