“there is nothing to say that the money went to planting a tree for the person in question. For all anyone knows is that someone could be 10.00 richer”

Actually, Steve, we provide more information about our trees- photos, maps, driving directions, a name registry, etc. than ANY other tree gift company out there. I take great pride in running Trees for a Change with integrity and love. For me it is ALL about the trees and connecting people through offering tree plantings as meaningful gifts. “This non-profit is a fantastic concept. For reasonable amounts of money one can make a purchase of one or more trees to be planted in areas where fires are always a threat. This has become one of the most important practices to counter the horribly destructive wildfires regular now in California. Planting trees is a major strategy for combating climate change as well. AND EVERYONE to whom I have sent this as a gift--adores this gift. I cannot get enough of sending these purchases as gifts to people.”

“I decided to purchase a memorial tree for Christmas 2017 in remembrance of my brother that passed away in 2017. I gave my mom the certificate & she was very emotional & moved by the gesture. This year I purchased a grove of 5 trees again in his honor for this Christmas 2018. I plan on doing this every year for Christmas in his name for now on. I think it’s a beautiful way to honor a loved one that has passed away & do good for the nature & the environment.”

“Kim was wonderful. In reviewing the web site, I had several questions. So I called the number listed and Kim (the founder of Trees for a Change) answered. Kim was extremely helpful. She answered all my questions and helped me set up a custom grove of trees in my son's memory. Kim made everything so easy for me and I appreciated that so much.”

“Wonderful to work with, they really seemed to care about my family, and are passionate about what they do. It is an easy process to set up, and it’s easy for others to donate. We are excited to plan a family trip to visit Dad’s grove. This has been a source of comfort for us, thank you!”

“Memorial trees are a beautiful way to pay tribute to a loved one and help the environment at the same time. Trees are a lasting memorial to those we love and, in my experience, are always greatly appreciated by grieving families. Knowing the trees have been planted in honor of a beloved family member or friend provides a sense of comfort and peace. Trees for a Change is a great organization to provide this service and has maintained a grove planted in honor of my son, Tim McGuire, for several years. We add to his tree count every year and Trees for a Change has always been very good about letting me know where and when the trees have been planted and they also provide location information in case we want to visit the grove. An added bonus is the contribution that these new trees provide to the wildlife in the area.”

“Such a beautiful gift for my dad and grampa. The certificate came out nicely and timely. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that I wish they’d provide instructions to the gift recipient for how to go on their website and see the trees once they’re grown. A slip of paper to accompany the certificate with such instructions would have been great and we were a little disappointed at not having that. Thank you otherwise, beautiful gift.”
