“I love the idea of planting a tree in honor of someone I love. When my mom passed away, we wanted something more meaningful and lasting than just flowers that would soon fade away. She had always loved a Robert Frost poem about the woods that are "lovely, dark and deep". It seemed so fitting to bring new trees into the world, to grow into new woods for the future. Kim set up a custom grove for my mom, and now, somewhere in the beautiful Tahoe area, there is new life springing up, in memory of a wonderful woman who lived a strong and beautiful life. This makes me happy.”

“I loved this idea of planting trees to help the environment. It is a lasting gift that will be remembered esp for my cousin who loved being out in nature. It was so much better than sending flowers that only last for a few days. I was equally surprised that when her husband received the gift that he called and said he actually had purchased the same thing for his wife too! He was very grateful for remembering his wife this special way.”

“I recently purchased a tree planting from Trees for a Change in memory of a friend’s father. The purchase was extremely easy through their website, and I appreciated receiving a personal note of thanks for the purchase. My friend received the certificate a couple of days after my purchase and called me to express their appreciation for this memorial. I had a very good experience with Trees for a Change and expect to purchase this service from them again in the future.”

“Was trying to think of a unique way to celebrate the life of a couple of family members that passed away. Stumbled across this and thought it was a fabulous idea. I ended up purchasing for Memorial Trees and it's so nice to know that the money spent on their memory is going to last for years and years in Tahoe National Forest.”

“Kim was extremely helpful and quick about responding to emailed questions. Service has been fantastic and the option to set up a custome grove where anyone can purchase trees instead of having to collect donations from everyone is really a fantastic option.”
