“UBCO did me very wrong….CONSUMER ADVISORY - UBCO DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. I purchase one of their work bikes and took it up to my remote mountain land. First ride that was maybe 30 minutes or so and the bike stopped for no apparent reason twice, but then started working. Since I don’t go to the property that often I only put a total run time of 4 hours on the bike in the next year an 1/2
and the problem kept getting worse so I reached out to support. They were not helpful and did not even tell me to lol in the app at the battery cells to see if they were ok. At the 2 year mark I took it to a shop and found out one of the cells on the battery was bad, so it would not run at all. I submitted a warranty claim with supporting documentation showing I had reached out to UBCO within the 2 year warranty period. They denied the warranty claim.
They want me to buy a new battery for $2,500 and say they are giving me a deal since they are normally $2,000. The bike has a total of under 5 hours of run time and it’s defective from the start.
Not only did they not honor their own warranty, they did not stand behind their product. Further they went dark and did not even respond for 3 months. I can see why this company was in receivership and it will go out of business with business practice me like these.
I 100% got the message loud and clear that they could care less about their customers.
MY ADVICE, DON’T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY-DON’T BUY A UBCO BIKE.”
“battery was dead out of the box and ubco would not warrentee it. They claim becouse it was baught at an auction. But it came from one of there dealers that quite selling. Very disapointing. Would have love to keep it and show how great the bike could be.”
“Based on the price of the bikes, I unfortunately assumed UBCO bikes would come with great support if needed, a proper battery warranty that UBCO would actually stand by, and a battery that would last longer than my kids' cheap TEMU-level power wheels. Unfortunately, one of our two UBCO bikes' batteries died because it sat in a cozy climate-controlled garage for a few months when it was cold outside and UBCO decided it sat too long and voided the supposed 2-year warranty. This is a $1500 battery and it lasted only 16 months from purchase. Hot garbage in my opinion.”
“I have had it less than three years and it’s inoperable . I’m extremely disappointed in the customer service and lack of help after spending so much money . I am sad and disappointed as I had loved this bike so much and really talked a few others into buying one .”
“I have been waiting months for a warranty battery since I purchased the 2 x 2, and never have been able to use. I purchased items in the store and received half my order. The one star is not for the product itself.”
“Would not buy anything from UBCO again. They don’t honor their 30 day guarantee. The page specifically said it doesn’t apply to PayTomorrow which I didn’t use yet they still refused it. I don’t plan on buying anything from UBCO in the future.”
Hello Broderick. Thank you for your feedback and I would like to help if I can. To my knowledge we don't offer a 30-day guarantee (we do offer a 12-month warranty) and I am not familiar with Pay Tomorrow. Can you please help me understand where you are seeing these references so that I may investigate further and hopefully we can improve our services for you. Regards UBCO Support.
