“I had a great time during my week at Ulpan. I feel much more confident in my ability to speak, and my vocab improved as well. I really enjoyed the tours, and being able to have that one on one action. Everyone here was great. Very helpful and very nice.”
“I was able to improve enough in 3 weeks to pass my test. Each tutor I worked with was wonderful. They made me feel comfortable and confident! Great program, great employees! I will be moving to Israel to continue my studies in just a few weeks!”
“I am amazed of how much I was able to learn within 5 days. The lessons were clear to understand and well structured. The only recommendation I would like to give, is to add a small dictionary chapter which expands the content of the other chapters. However, overall I am very satisfied with ulpanor.”
“Shira is very patient. I could have spent more time studying outside of class which would allow me to progress faster and with more confidence. I would like to take a couple more long term courses over the next several months (after a break), maybe some via skype and some in tel aviv. The only improvement, again, is my own contribution to studying outside of the classroom should have been better. Very happy with the course and customer service.”
“I'm so impressed and surprised with how much better I've got in the last two weeks! Thank you so much. It's a really validating, encouragine environment to learn in and I've come on leaps and bounds thanks to you!”
“I also did the activities following the classroom time. I would suggest personalizing them more: I had been to two of the four since I work here (Karmel Market and Rothschild). The Jewish Cultural Center and the Shalom Tower were very interesting. I'm not sure what it's like with more advanced students, but it would be good to have some site-specific vocabulary to practice in each place. I very much liked the "Hebrish" approach to speaking, where you can substitute English words in place of unknown Hebrew words. When I started, I really was pretty down about learning Hebrew: I was having a hard time speaking”
“Ganit was an incredible teacher who really molded the conversation to my level - she drew upon the vocabulary from the textbooks while mixing in some of the words I had learned on the street. She challenged me while simultaneously reinforcing structure. She made learning syntax easy by constantly drawing comparisons; therefore, building a strong foundation for me to move forward with as my knowledge of Hebrew grows. The weekly graduation ceremonies, in which each student is invited to share their week, was a great forum to meet people and become comfortable speaking in Hebrew. The course made an effort to integrate you not only with the other students but with Israel as well. It exceeded my expectations and I am excited to continue my studies with the program!”
“In such a short time I learned new techniques to improve my conversation process. Amazing material to see, read, memorize and hopefully speak fluently!”
“I was putting sentences together in less than 2 weeks. My instructor was polite and understanding of my schedule and difficulty with language. She was patient and taught me the way I needed to be taught in order to learn. The workbooks are easy to follow.”
“Inbar was awesome! She was a great teacher and made learning Hebrew a lot easier than I had expected. She was fun and always so helpful. I had a great experience and would love to continue on at some point!”
“Everything drastically exceeded my expectations. All of the teachers were amazing in every possible way, and I only wish I lived closer to be able to continue in person. I would be happy to elaborate on this at some length for a blurb or testimonial for your webpage... I am very impressed. My parents have also heard about it, now, at great length, and are thinking about starting the program too.”
“I found this course to be extremely helpful, particularly in my conversing. My main goal coming into the course was to improve my spoken Hebrew, and think it has improved a lot since I started. The combination of speaking, reading, and reviewing the various binyanim all helped contribute to my improvement.”
“I would love to continue with ulpan or! I love this individualized method of learning, I love primarily listening, watching and speaking at this point in my studies. I spend so much time with my nose in a book -- reading and writing, it was fun and I learned so much, and learned it much more quickly and completely by using everything I know to listen to conversations and in my own conversations. Thank you so much!”
“I am really glad that I was able to learn a lot of Hebrew in such a short amount of time, going from almost nothing to semi-confident in my abilities to converse.”
“I really appreciated the course as a whole. Limor was awesome and put up with my bad jokes and made the whole experience of learning Hebrew enjoyable. I am looking forwards to continuing my Hebrew studies.”
“the time at ulpan or (8 weeks) was one of the best times in my life!I am surprised myself how much Hebrew I know and am able to use after this short time as I started with nearly no background!”
