“Awful company! Paying £200 a month for a 1 bedroom flat, has financial difficulties because of this and when I was off supply and unable to top up they refused to help leaving myself and 2 young children without electric”

“My smart meters ain't so smart. Infact they do not even work. I have had 6 engineer visits so far and still no working meters. They have placed both on engineer mode which means I will get a bill even though I have topped my cards up. Now they have issed a bill based on estimates because they cannot even get a meter reading from their own meters. Called today and they cannot send an engineer out AGAIN because my account is now with the revenue protection team? I can't even pay them! I have logged a complaint and done a complete GDRP request which I have received which details all the visits, notes, complaints and still nothing. I dont have 58 minutes everyday to sit on hold to get no further forward. My anxiety and depression is through the roof with the uncertainty. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!”
“Rubbish and the biggest con artist ever how can a 3 bedroom house spend less than a 1 bedroom cause am in a 1 bedroom and spend way to much plus your meter sends false readings this is poor service I've been on the phone for 20 min waiting for someone to answer”
“No heating for 7 days due to fault with meter customer service shocking hours spent pn phone get cut off .
When you do get through to arrange an engineer to come out , no show or a call to tell us what going on or why engineer hasn't arranged appointment.
So process starts again but this time they tell us they will phone back hours later no call then they are closed , eventually they call back tell us engineer will be here within three hours guess what no show !!
Still no heating shocking customer service !!”
“We are pensioners and disabled, have been left with no power or heating for 3 days by Utilita and no sign of anyone coming to fix the old and broken 1st generation smart meter or replace it with a more up to date and reliable one. Service is disgraceful and we are on their priority service register so God help anyone who isn't if this is their priority service.”

“Having problems with my gas signal since last year been on the phone to utilita a lot requesting to get it sorted but still not sorted they said I would get a booster but boosters stopped 4 years ago am a disabled person and have really bad mental health issues and this isn't helping as getting pushed from pillar to post on each call”

“Had a final bill of £160.00 paid it & went onto pre payment, switched over to Scottish power & then received a yearly usage bill of £1020 odd pounds, estimated at my usage of £290 odd pound a year (I've been here 2 years & 6 month of that on pre payment top up) & because I've tried to switch over to another supplier, Utilita have invented a bill that doesn't exist, after I've already had a final bill!

“Complete. Utter. Robbery. 2 years of battling, they currently reckon I've spent £1,700 in 4 months. In summer. I've gone through Ombudsman, pointless, my MP, a little better, but now this new bill. They wont authorize a change in supplier. My advice if you are stuck with them is dont bother with Ombudsman, pretty sure it's rigged, go to MP and dont stop pushing.”
“This company is a scam. It is so so overpriced and their customer service is awful. They said we owed them over £500 when we had closed our account - My flat mate spent over 7 hours of her time on the phone to the stupid customer service team who clearly do not all communicate or update their systems. Finally, when they realised they actually owed us money, they sent the payment to the wrong address! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AWFUL.”
