About Virgin Experience Days:

Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.

I purchased this as a birthday present and it was a great day out, the tour was very informative and interesting. Purchasing from Virgin experience days was very easy to do plus a bargain price as if purchased directly would have cost a lot more. We would highly recommend.

Booked Ripleys Believe it or not and a two course Planet Hollywood Meal. Ripleys was Ok - shame they didn't bother to mention that there was an audio tour and some exhibits only had numbers relating to the tour- which we realised ONCE we were inside. No mention on the website that you will have a severe lack of options for food: a burger, two salads or two pastas - not a big choice. The desert was either cheese cake OR ice cream - I had to kick up a bit of a stink as I cannot eat dairy and got offered sorbet. To be honest- it's just not worth the money for the hassle involved.

I had a theatre and meal experience given to me and my partner. We booked up and we're looking forward to our weekend. 2 days after booking we were informed by virgin that the restaurant we had booked would be under going renovations at the time we are booked for, I cannot believe that virgin did not know about this at the time of booking as the restaurant is at a big London hotel and we booked only 4 weeks before going. Virgin offered us alternative restaurants, but this took several phone calls at my expense for which they were not bothered about in the slightest. I found the staff I dealt with quiet rude and unhelpful with regards to this problem, and there was no offer of the slightest good will gesture for the inconvenience cause. We received this as a gift from a family member which was lovely, unfortunately the whole inconvenience of the booking process has spoilt a lovely gesture. I certainly would not buy a virgin experience for anybody, I would look for an alternative company.

I have had awful experiences with Virgin Experience days - it is a painful and long winded process and you end up not being able to book the experience you want. the staff are less than helpful and take an age to come back to you I would not recommend Virgin Experience days at all just from a service and logistical point of view

Booked this experience for wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. Very helpful staff all-around. The swimming pool/sunbed area was fabulous, with sauna and steam rooms. The swimming pool was really good sized at 19m and even with few people in it doesn't look crowded. The spa staff was very courteous and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were good, nothing special about the menu but nothing disappointing either. Spa facilities were the real star

The lady doing the presentation and teaching was miserable serious and did not make it enjoyable for us at all.

Ordered 2 seperate experiences for 2 seperate people to go to 2 different addresses. They were both sent to the same person who thought they were both for her and was delighted. When I realised the mistake I called up to sort out the error only to be told the only way I could rectify it was to ask for my mother in law to give back the presents she had been so excited to receive. They admitted it was human error on their part but would only offer me a measly 15% off if I wanted to repurchase another gift to replace the one that got sent to the wrong person. Terrible customer service - they just don't care.

Staff are genuinely combative on the phone and not looking to help and sometimes genuinely angry. They were happy to cancelled on me at short notice and lacked concern that I had to expensive travel arrangements which were now worthless. When tried to re-arrange at short notice (longer than their notice) I was told it was not possible. Only use them for ideas and locations. By-pass them when you've made a decision.

we got a gift of a spa day for 2 at Bannatynes, which was very easy to redeem and book. The experience was very relaxing

The shard experience part of my voucher was great and the booking wasn't too tricky either. I did have to sit on hold for about 25 minutes to book the time I wanted though which was a little annoying.

Voucher was misplaced in the Christmas clean up - they refused to e mail though and requested a further £20 to reissue another piece of paper! Really?? Rather greedy and shan't be booking again
