Been searching for a few weeks today was the day I booked our adventure. Got exact dates with the best airline at a fantastic price. So Happy.

As a frequent flyer of Virgin, I have booked many holidays and always received frequent flyer miles through the FF website, imagine my surprise when recently booking a holiday to New York we were booked with British Airways, when I asked about FF miles I was advised that these would not be forthcoming due to a non virgin flight, that virgin booked. When questioned I was fobbed off and passed from pillar to post, V. Holidays blaming Frequent fliers and Frequent fliers blaming V Holidays, eventually I was told that no FF miles would be given end of. What a way to treat customer who spend thousands of pounds with this company every year over a few hundred FF miles, it is not the miles now, it is the principal and the poor customer service, my money will now be spent with anyone other than Virgin Holidays....

I shopped around to get the best deal for a family of 4 flying from my local airport to florida. Virgins prices beat the competition hands down and I had no worries in booking through virgin as their reputation is 2nd to none.

My booking process couldn't have been simpler, I had a small query regarding baggage allowance so I called the helpline and was answered by a extremely helpful customer service staff member and my entire query was resolved in under 3 minutes! Would not hesitate to recommend. And all for a lot more competitive price than their competitors. Thank you!!

Your site provides a simple, effective and 'quick click through' method from which to choose, select and book a dream holiday. When you're spending thousands on a special vacation you need this part of the holiday to be as informative and user friendly as possible. We booked directly with yourselves because of the ease of doing it and was also cheaper and quicker than 2 agents that tried to cost up the holiday for us! If the holiday is as wonderful as I think it will be, I would have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend or endorse Virgin Holidays to anyone!

I have being using virgin holiday's for years as they offer the best flights and best prices than most comparison sites and there are no hidden extras to buy.

Having travelled with VH several times before we were expecting a similar standard of service this year. Bowing to the bombardment of email advising their 'sale' was ending that day we gave in and booked a trip. Within an hour of doing so the price had dropped by over £100 so we contacted them to ask if an adjustment was possible and to express our dismay that the end of the sale simply meant prices would drop further. Within a few days the price had dropped by another £100 so we were feeling somewhat cheated and told them so. The customer services staff were totally unsympathetic, almost challenging me to try and get my money back. We had never experienced such sharp practice before but made it clear we would make sure everyone we knew would hear what a bunch of tricksters they are and that we wouldn't be using them again in the future. During our trip to the USA we never saw or heard from a single rep from the company and received just a single automatic email to 'welcome' us. The lack of service is probably the worst we have ever experienced. Now of course we have seen so many similar reviews and it is apparent the company is struggling to stay afloat.

do not book a virgin holiday if you expect any compasion they just said we can cancel your holiday with 100% retention my partners farther died this afternoon so we are very sad made worse by virgin

Hi, your doing something right have booked again with you but only flights this time. Couldn't get through on phone many attempts to get greater choice of hotel...but alas . Have booked hotels elsewhere....... shame..... there's a fantastic selection out there ....you don't have this on line and if you can't get through on the phone either we all dip out .....

Travelled with Virgin a few times now. Never a hold up, flights on time, staff excellent, transfers great, resorts and on site reps brilliant. Well done Richard and the TEAM. Keep it up. We meet a few pew people in Cuba each year that we have recommended.

Excellent site with good choice of hotels.More choice of accommodation than some other sites.Would have liked to have been able to book and choose our airline seats at the point of booking ,My husband is 6`4" so we like to book extra legroom seats.

I found Virgin had a good selection of hotels available, interesting that they only fly into Newark though. Bear this in mind when considering transfers. If you get a taxi from Newark you will have to pay double because Newark taxis cannot pick up in NYC so you have to pay for their return. I did find the website temperamental though, it kept crashing and timing me out of my search, which was a particular pain, when I was booking as I wanted to read the T&C, either I am a slow reader or the site is very impatient. All in all I am happy I have booked my holiday.

So, my heading didn't really have anything to do with my review, just seemed... right. I am a huge supporter of everything Virgin. British Virgin Islands is a twice a year sailing trip for my family, I use Virgin Media, and now Virgin Holidays. I have not used the site before yesterday and now I have booked 2 holidays! I suppose I better start taking the train.... Is it strange that I'm almost more excited to use the lounge and fly Upper Class than I am to spend 10 nights in Grenada?! Richard Branson, you're my hero

I prefer flying with Virgin airlines than almost any other when I visit the USA. They do care and the extras they offer make for an enjoyable journey when you are on a long haul flight. I know Virgin is now not fully owned by Richard Branson and I therefore hope that other flights used that fly under the virgin flag step up to the plate regarding customer care.

We were interested in a tour to India, which also had an offer on it. However on requesting a quote, it bore no relation to the 'guide' price. They also said the offer had run out and despite now actually being able to quote a confirmed price due to flights not being available they would not extend the offer. So they expect people to book at least 4 months before they can give you a true price - not many would commit to an unknown like this?? When I requested to talk to a manager the same assistant rang me back and said that ' manager' would only give me the same answer. They should perhaps try working in public service if we do act appropriately and do not give the client the courtesy of their request, it could have serious repercussions. Nil for customer service and they appear to make up the prices as they go along. Very disappointing experience - shame as I was really keen on the tour

Found the website simpler to use than other travel sites. I have never booked a holiday online before so it was a bewildering experience for me. There was plenty of variety of hotels and trip adviser reviews attached to hotels helped make a decision. plenty of activities to pre book at competitive prices. overall the experience was very good however i did find it a bit complicated to change the return flights as the interface only seems geared to outgoing flights. there was also quite little variation in outgoing flight times. the only thing that did bother me was the very short "timed out" on searches. it has given me the confidence to book online again and would use the site again
