Vodafone have delivered the worst customer service I have experienced from any supplier ever. As a small business owner with 11 phone lines on the account, they make it very difficult to get any help at all when you need it (even to take out more lines). They don't want to speak to you and do everything possible - via their awful automated lines - to punt you off to a web chat, FAQ, or anything which means they won't have to actually speak to you and provide a service. Webchats are ridiculously long winded and the waiting times for calls are terrible. Expect to waste an hour of your time if getting in contact. Add in the despicable sneaky charges which get bolted on to your account even when you expressly ask them not to be (for Securenet). They cut off one of lines in February in error and when they were asked to reconnect it, they started the contract again (and started charging us for securenet again). The line should now be out of contract, but they are now claiming it is not out of contract because it was connected in February! I've raised 2 complaints about this and weeks later have had zero updates. I'm currently on the phone to them while writing this (1hr and 2 mins so far) and it's quite obvious they have no idea about the complaint! It appears that when you enter into a contract with Vodafone, you are obliged to uphold your side of the bargain; i.e. paying bills on time, but they aren't obliged to uphold any minimum level of customer service. You, as the customer are just required to suffer whatever standards they wish to offer (or not). When the service becomes so unbearable that you need to change providers, they'll gladly charge you excessive cancellation fees for the pleasure of having suffered them. They clearly have no regard for their reputation and the lost revenues they must suffer through the terrible customer reviews. I'll certainly do my best to make sure as many people on as many sites as possible are aware of what they will be facing if they are thinking of using Vodafone. 539. That's the number of minutes spent on the phone with Vodafone in 2021 so far, sorting out issues which they've caused! And that's before I just discovered that once again they haven't cancelled one of the lines we asked to be cut off ages ago and we're still being charged. Would strongly urge any business owner who values their own time and some simple customer service to stay away. Will be moving all of our lines to another provider.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Ordered an upgrade. They sent to another address. Then they sent the wrong phone. Spent 8.5 hours on the phone trying to cancel. Im still on hold now! Avoid this terrible terrible company

I tried to switch my plan to pay as you go and after over 90 minutes and speaking with 5 different attendants who kept passing me around to another department, my issue wasn´t solved as the chat was disconnected on their side. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

Glad i saw another website to give VODAFONE the WORST SCAMMING BUSSINES AWARD again. I will try to keep it short ..Got a contract with them for 2 years had a new phone on it. At the end of contract (contract was dated) i didnt renew thinking once is done its cancel or you go on a pay monthly basis and you pay for what your using. OH NO NO ... now bearing in minde i had a oudated contract witch had its period that i agreed to finished they still charged me a FULL PRICE ( remember i had a phone on pay monthly and in 2 years i paied the phone off ) ...so when contract ended i was still payng for phone same amaount and barely using any minutes or data. when i saw that i cancel from bank direct debid ... of course they started to say i ow them moeny .. VOdafone started harrasing me to pay them until i specificaly say i want to end contract (witch was outdated anyway ) even when i told them to cancel ...they still waited and told me i have to tell other network to callthem so i can switch like that so i had to calll a 3rd time to actuallly cancel the outdate and invalid contract ... OF COURSE I HAD CREDIT SCORE ISSUES because the scamming proffesionals over at the INFAMOUS VODAFONE automaticaly notified credit agencyes THAT GUES WHAT > I AM A BAD PAYNG CUSTOMER witch in turn made my getting financial help IN EPIDEMIC A LOT MORE DIFFICULT... should i mention that they tried to sell me a tablet sayts its for free but my monthly debit was gunna increase ? OH but thats a story for another time ... DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT SIGN NOTHING WITH THESE SCAMMING BASTARDS !!! you might end up with a bad credit score because of they scamming ways and its hard to LEGALY FIGHT SUTCH A BIG COMPANY STAY AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH VODAFONE !

I would prefer to eat Sh@@ that ever deal with Vodafone again - only to sue them for the effect they have had on my fledgling business - now one week without phone or broadband due to their error in deleting my account b4 it transferred to Eir because of poor service - worst company I have ever dealt with - ever. Under their advised opened 2nd account - which has now 'disappeared' but in meantime sent me direct debit mandate, and looks like may have cancelled new account with eir - advising they were taking over. The mind boggles and explodes and how bad this is - no effort to reconnect despite being told the line all still active and set to go.

I was given an appointment on 06/14 from 12:00 to 16:00. No one came out, they called me the next day, "Sorry, there we could not come due to lack of resources, we can go on 06.17 between 12:00 and 16:00." And did they figured out that there is a resource shortage only the next day? Of course, the customer should feel free to wait only at home, we prefer not to tell him. Anyway, it should be Thursday. Thursday 15:00 I was already worried, I called the customer service, after waiting for 30 minutes they picked up the phone and told me I do not have appointment recorded for today. Really nice. My time is gone my blood pressure is super high. Unfortunately, only Vodafone is available at our address, but if you can please do avoid them.

Took out a Wi-fi dongle, returned within my 14 day cooling off period. (Due to poor performance) Low and behold I’ve been charged for the device and a monthly instalment. Multiple attempts made to cancel and get my money back but to no avail. Truly dreadful customer service. This is not the only issue I have had with them.

Moved providers to Vodafone. They told me to set up an account. When I tried to do this it didn't work. After one and half hours on live chat, speaking to 6 different people they told me there was a technical issue and try again in 48 hours. Tried again in 48 hours but still didn't work so called customer service. For some reason my pin didn't work which I'm not sure why as it was my daughters year she was born and it worked 2 days earlier. Therefore no one would talk to me and told me I have to travel 45 mins on a train to a local store to prove who I was. I finally got through to someone with half a brain and cancelled the contract before it started. I think I had a lucky escape!!!!

Elderly parents have PAYG. They have isolated for 12 months. Phones have been unused in a drawer. As not used, Vodafone have cancelled their numbers and taken all their credit. Apparently my 90 year old father should read his T&C's. The whole global pandemic seems to have bypassed their policy dept and their directors & customer service

Horrendous, non existent customer service! Call centre, online chat, twitter account, stores ALL completely incompetent, queue for an age outside in the rain, when you try to phone the store the number isn't even switched on. Don't bother with Vodafone go with someone else.......ANYONE else!! They have a very long way to go in terms of their customer service, I definitely won't be a returning customer.

We were recently charged an additional £200 pounds from vodafone for going overboard on the internet usage for 2 days. We pay £40 a months for 30gb internet but were charged £200 for 7gb extra usage. Yes, somewhere in the their 50 page T&C's this written in the small print but who reads those. We trust these large multinational corps not to use every excuse to screw their customers. If you try and speak to their customer service, they don't care. You'll be passed on from manager to manager without any assistance. If you sign up with vodafone, they will find some way to charge you a bomb. We have 3 family members paying almost £50/month. Some for the last 5 years. Over this tactic of robbing us £200 they will loose thousands of pounds of business from us. But they don't care, so best go with other providers.
