Having closed my contract almost two yrs ago now and had nothing but repeated letters and money stolen from my account, I received a letter a few days ago saying I owe £11;14 to a non existent account and to go online to sort it out. I go to the web address but you need an active Vodafone no to log in or an account no neither of which I have as I'm not a customer,! So the letter also says call this number,so I call and the recorded voice says exactly the same thing, use a non existent phone number or account number. I find a second phone number so,although it's not what I want I figure no harm calling as I might get a human. Yay,I do,an Indian girl who ran through security question after question because I didn't know the date my long since non existent contract started I had to go through a raft of questions and was on my mobile calling her for a total of 45mins. She put me on hold after hearing my dilemma and the fact I had another bill, confused as her computer said my account was nil owed! She goes to billing who confirm I owe nothing but then the fun part. Knew it was all too easy to be true!!! Apparently I have to go to a vodafone shop with the letter and get them to make my status inactive from active, HOW, I don't have one that's why I'm contacting them!! Then I have to get them to check my credit scoring to be sure it's not been affected,if it has they have to remove any markers and correct the issue! Problem, the closest Vodafone shop to me is a two he drove away and I'm not doing a four hour round trip to rectify a problem they started. Now I've written a four page letter explaining what they already know as I've been telling them for two years!!!! Hopeless hopeless company, give Vodafone the widest possible birth, the customer service is non existent, they expect you to do all their dirty work for them. This really needs to go to rip of Britain or a similar well known consumer show and soon..thanks for reading.

so i had a bill, way over my contract turns out i went over my call minutes, a 26 minute call cost me £16! so i used their online chat to explain i cant afford the bill and if they would split it over two weeks. they did! phew brilliant. so bill due date arrives and they take the direct debit for the full amount! oh well i should be more careful in future. then the following friday they take money again! turns out i agreed to this, which i did, but they took the full amount anyway so i dont owe any money so there shouldnt be anything on my account to show that anything was outstanding. refunded by the following wednesday, and assured no more money would be taken out. well the friday the same thing again! so back i go trying to get this money back because i paid my bill in full. promised to get my money back within 1-2 days, no money showing. the guy on the chat is refusing to transfer me to the department saying i need to call them because they need my bank details which they already have because they take the monthly bill and they refunded me last week. stay well clear! roll on July when my contract ends and i dont have to deal with this rubbish!

I terminated my already expired agreement to a contract phone giving three months notice. After that time money still went from my account so I called customer service and was assured it was to do with the date and nothing more would be taken from my account. The following month they've taken my money again so I call again and get An assurance that that's it,it was an error and will be returned,it wasn't but yet another months was taken. In between my calls each one was backed with a letter and word for word transcript of the conversation held. After yet a fourth payment was illegally taken from my account I contact my bank to remove the direct debit with immediate effect,I back this by writing and calling vodaphone to tell them I've stopped direct debits as they appear unwilling to close an account four months after an already expired three months notice of termination of that phone, and that came after my contract had already been expire by almost a year! After a few months of nothing I get a letter which I don't open but return, this continues every few months for over a year each letter returned unopened with no longer a customer written across them! Then after o we 18mths of this I get a debt recovery letter but when I try to call vodaphon to tell them where they've gone wrong I keep getting my calls terminated by customer service, they obviously get a lot of these and that's how they handle them, end them! Fine, I contact debt recovery and they say sorry you have to pay then query it with vodafone so I do that,,and it's paid in full.... Wrong, now over five months later I just received another letter from Vodafone which I almost rip up but,I open it. Guess what, yes they want another £11+ off me when my contract ended in 2017 on my birthday as my daughter bought me a new phone, the one I'm now using and with no contract even the internet usage only works out at £10pm due to the bundle I have with O2, I now have two phones, work and private with O2 the former I've had for 18yrs and am on the same £5pm bundle so even two together are cheaper by more than 3/4 of the cost of one Vodafone. And I've never in almost two decades had any issues or problems with O2 + the coverage is absolutely brilliant,no loosing signal at every turn like I got with Vodafone! This is an awful company that care nothing for their customers and only listen to one complaint, even when u try to stop using their phones and give them the required notice in writing by recorded delivery they still keep on and on stealing your money and you hear nothing from them in response to a year of contact and complaints, until you cancel your money going to them, then they wake up. Obviously don't keep records of customer accounts as they repeatedly make the same grave error and repeatedly, even after you paid hundreds more than you owe them, keep tapping you for a bit more and a bit more. They have nil customer service, to constantly terminate a call because it's a complaint tells you exactly what this company are like. Having had non contract phones in the past that were on their network and had.no probs was part of the reason my family picked that contract for me,it gave me WiFi and internet all round without me having to constantly change isp's due to poor or zero connectivity (I live surrounded by woodland so reception can b an issue)! This is the WORST MONEY GRABBING phone co I've ever come across. Don't read their own so called customer reviews, read the real ones, like this. Don't enter a contract with them as you will still be struggling (since 2017) to leave the company who don't give a shot behind! Name happily supplied and more than happy to talk to others about my awful experience which is still ongoing!!!!!

Absolutely shocking customer service, being mis-sold contracts, mid advised multiple times, useless agents who don't know what they are doing, having to repeat myself nearly 10 times and they still don't understand, managers have no customer service skills and know even less than their colleagues and it's a shambolic operation that vodafone run. they outsource to some companies who don't give a flying **** about customers and give an even less **** about doing what's right for the customer. Basically been called a liar multiple times that an agent offered a discount on new handsets and when you ask them to listen to the call, surprise surprise can't listen back more than 90 days ago and basically don't offer any suggestions or support on how to fix the issue. Apart from a few times speaking to good colleagues, whenever there is a problem, nobody takes responsibility and you might as well talk to a brick wall - if you think of joining Vodafone, they're great if you have no problems, but when you do, god help you to get it sorted. I'd stay save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere

BOYCOTT VODAFONE IF IT IS THE LAST THING YOU DO!! -100 stars for those scammers! Depressing.infuriating. helpless service, OVERALL SACKLESS COMPANY. Reading everyone's comments on this thread is painful but they all ring true, I share my frustration with every single one of you. SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE THEM TO WATCHDOG!! They can't be aloud to get away with this, its shameful and illegal. The entrapment, deceitfulness and lies that they sprout is criminal!. Someone share a petition or get a petition going!! I have made it my mission to make sure NONE of my family or friend's or even strangers get involved with this company, no matter how small their involvement is.I have dealt with Vodafone for over a year and every single call has been a nightmare. I could bore you with the series of endless problems and shocking errors they have made at my expense, but I really don't want to bore you and you will know it all to well yourself! A staggering 91.64% of us loathe Vodafone... Wow, we actually manage to communicate better on this thread than the "telecommunication" company itself...its a joke!!! should be on a league of gentleman sketch hahaha. This thread is probably a therapy for some of us and the only bit of relief , venting our spleen about this scamming company!! I nearly had a breakdown after going round and round in circles with them for 4 weeks with the same issue. I am soon to be free of this company for the rest of my life and I couldn't be happier!! I genuinely think I will have the biggest feeling of relief and a spring in my step knowing I have escaped them. If you don't laugh you will cry! BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT

I am a Vodafine customer and have recently taken out a sim only package for my daughter to use in her last year of school to take some stress away from her already very stressful year, I checked the deals out that they have and chose a suitable deal, I asked for a cap on this so she wouldn't worry about any bill's etc., she went over her minutes with two long phone calls but knowing she had a cap she thought this was still ok as it would cut off when the cap was reached. I then received a £289 phone bill, I have been in contact with Vodafone on literally 30 occasions since then where every single time I have had to explain the whole thing over and over, while this negotiation was taking place my daughters phone was not working, I am now told that I have to pay the bill and the bill for the last three months even though the phone was cut off!!!!!!!! I have been so distressed over this and I feel Vodafone have not helped at all and literally have pushed me from pillar to post for 9 weeks and has caused my daughter a lot of stress too, it's absolutely disgusting how we have been treated, I am now under pressure to keep chasing this at the bill is increasing, I wouldn't advise anyone to undertake these packages as they are sold to you with no education on the rules and no responsibility taken by Vodafone

I wouldn’t even leave one star but zero stars isn’t an option! Wouldn’t use Vodafone ever again! Shocking customer service even worse management! Was half hour on phone as they disconnected my 85yr old nans phone as she hadn’t used it in 30 days even though I had just put £10 credit on it! Asked to speak to a manager was told they would ring me back within 2 hours, waited 18 hours rang back again another half hour wasted on phone to a rude woman said manager would ring me back within 4 hours still waiting 48 hours later, rang again today and been told they might be able to reconnect if I go in store !

The worst experience I have ever had with a telecommunication company. They don't even deserve the one star. I had a mobile broadband, the website stated clearly that the end date of the service. Three months after the end date, I get a bill for the past three months. I call them up and they tell me that I have to give a notice and the services will be cancelled after a month and I will have to pay for 4 months in total after the "end-date" of the service. The customer services and complaint lines advisors are very rude. Whenever I asked a question, their reply was, "Well, that's very unfortunate""Well, that's how it is". What I didn't understand is why there were no emails sent in the past three months to tell me there is an outstanding balance? and they didn't have an answer for that. They don't care about their customer satisfaction, they only want to squeeze and extra amount of money. Very bad service, very rude customer service agents. The behaviour was just shocking. And I am not a rude customer at all.

SIMPLY SHOCKING SERVICE. They don't even deserve 1 star. WORST customer service I /my company have ever discovered... feel completely helpless and scammed by Vodafone. They have even included 'World traveller' in our newly signed contract , which I have found out from my own research is now a disconnected service, how can you have a disconnected service writing in a contract? beyond me... I have had 1 year and 1/2 battling with Vodafone and I am leaving my job, I hope I NEVER have to deal with this scamming company again. Please avoid avoid avoid.

Absolutely bogus service. Perhaps Vodafone has no more interest in providing a quality service anymore .But rather to put on unnecessary charges on the customers.

ANY LEGAL ADVICE TO SUE VODAFONE FOR THIS CASE OR MEDIA ATTENTION!! I was with EE and decided to move to Vodafone. I got a PAC code from EE and shared with Vodafone to transfer my EE number to Vodafone SIM on 15 March 2019. The number is important/key for me not only for my family comms but also for my business as well. Usually transferring number from one network to another takes around 24 to 48 hours as per my previous experience. From 15 March 2019 to date Vodafone has not successfully transferred my EE number to their network. I am hanging in the balance, I left EE and didn’t join Vodafone!!!! The Vodafone SIM card is “OUT OF SERVICE” until to date. I am working full time and I spent around 1-2 hours each day talking to Vodafone. I speak to one department and they put me on hold and pass to me another department – they promise every time that my number is going to be active in the coming 24 hours since 15 March 2019 to date, but that is always bare lie and a way to shut me off!!! I asked couple of times, send me an email confirming that my number will work in the coming 24 hours and they refused. The customers services and the technical team are very rough and rude!!!! While I am in this situation and frustrated, they are not helpful at all. They keep telling me just wait while no progress is taking place!!! They are holding me as hostage, and they are not doing anything – I can’t communicate families, friends and business partners…. This is causing too much problems to my business as I am missing many important/key calls. I asked them to give me a PAC code so I can leave and go back to my EE and they refused it, they said we can’t do until we activate your number and no body know when the VODAFONE SIM CARD will be active…………. they can’t even confirm!!!! I called the complain department and they are just saying wait….!!!!! I would appreciate any help for where I can get legal advice to hold their wicked intentions into account! If any please share with me, I will do whatever it takes to make sure that they don’t go away unaccounted for frustrations and problems they cause to me personally and my business. If you from the media or know anybody from the media and want to cover my case please feel free to reach me, if you are legal expert or know any legal help for my case please welcome!!! I think it is the right time to join efforts to showcase VODAFONE FRUSTRATIONS to the public to avoid in the future!!

had a 24 month contract on a phone that worked for 12 months. when contacting them they said they need to send a text to the phone for security, after i just explained the phone doesn't work. Then they say they cant find an account in my name. After a few attempts with the same result i cancelled the direct debit and funnily enough they found my details. They apologised for all the calls i had to make and promised the last 2 payments i would not have to make as a token gesture. I now have a bill, after phoning them they want to send a text to the phone that i threw out in the end as it didn't work, they wouldn't speak to me about it due to security so i had to pop into the local branch and photocopy my driving license. I then phone back up and get passed through to billing who then explain i need to pay it as they don't have any information on my notes about this, i asked them to listen to the recorded call which her response was i wont listen to the call unless you supply me with a date. She also stated that they had sent a text to the phone explaining i was going to be billed a month ago (After about 20 phone calls you would think some one would make a note saying "This guy keeps phoning up as his phone isn't working" The deals "look" good however the coverage is poor and doesn't match what they're site advertises and the customer service may as well be run from children's nurseries.
