Been a Volumio enthusiast long since, yet I'd never considered MyVolumio, mostly I used to play tunes from my (large enough) digital music library. As I got back from my son a fairly large number of CDs I'd loaned over time to him, I decided not to rip them, I remembered MyVolumio CD playback capability (among others) and wanted to try it. Like any other Volumio stuff, this is by no means less than excellent. I bet the folks in Volumio massively love music since they put great care and quality in what they deliver to music enthusiasts. Thumbs up! Setup: Volumio on RPI4 + Cyrus Soundkey DAC + AKG K702

Overall very impressed and happy with this servcie. Relatively easy set up. Intuitive interface and Lightning quick. Can use your phone or browser interface, both work well. Gapless playback. Does not seem to be buggy at all. Native integration of Tidal and Qobuz. I added the Audiophonics 9038 Dac to the Pi and am getting excellent performance. Would like to see more sort options for albums, artists etc, and a cleaner HDMI out Image for TV’s. Right now it is the same interface as the web browser or mobile app but the fact that they offer HDMI out is unique. Good news is they care and are constantly making it better. And if you don’t want to do it yourself you can buy the primo hardware and just plug and play. Outstanding all around!

It works well, even though configuring NAS was problematic, until solved with version parameters för smb. That could have been included one way or the other. I also use Internet radio a lot and I´m really happy for that free feature. Unfortunately there are no good apps for my phone. The only good one that supports Internet radio, crashes constantly, so the Web browser is the only option.

Very easy to get running on Raspberry Pi 3B, stable, slick interface, integrates network drives pretty straightforwardly, works well with a cheap generic I2S SPDIF card. My single, but significant, criticism is that Volumio seems unable to output multichannel (quad/surround) audio over HDMI, which means it has a huge weakness: no lossless multichannel playback. Kodi can do this, Volumio cannot, & the issue seems to be undocumented so the only way to figure it out is hours of experimenting and web searches.

All in all works well. But: When using Quobuz, the system often jumps to the next song of an album without playing the previous song to the end. Also, the Spotify plugin cannot be loaded, which is very annoying.

It works. That's all I need :) Using it just as Spotify Connect node 12h per day on Raspberry PI 3B with cheap yet good PIFI Digi DAC+ from Aliexpress, and there's nothing I can complain about. CPU usage is about 5%, so I still can use PI for parallel tasks, such as Pi-Hole etc without any affect to music. Quite happy with it.

I use RPI 4 and Allo Boss DAC. The sound is good. However, when I start playing, the track starts over several times and also jumps to the next track. Very annoying and I’m considering changing to some other system.

I had an auralic altair but felt it might have been overkill for my system so built a raspberry pi with hfiberry dac + didn't know what software to use a friend recommended volumio installed it over a month ago had a few issues with the app crashing or locking up on my ipad but apart from that can't fault it need to read more about what it does but so far so good

After loosing my job and having more time to relax listening to music I decided to build me a dedicated music player, I already had google music but streaming for me was problematic with dropouts, poor quality etc, Many years ago I brought in to the Squeezebox, that was good but not perfect added to that the system was no longer supported anyway. I had read reviews about people using a raspberry pi along with a DAC and getting good results, I had previously looked at various products including the Brennan unit, I opted for the Raspberry pi as it sounded Ideal for my needs and was cheaper, added to that If something went wrong I could sort it myself at a low cost, perfect lol. I now needed the right software to go with my hardware, well I can safely say that after reading the reviews and now using the Volumio software I am more than happy, It is easy to use does everything I want and is stable. It was a doddle to install, the interface is superb in my opinion and there is a dedicated app for using on my mobile phone, I am so happy now that I can listen to my music through a descent amp in good quality, the icing on the cake is the Volumio software, well done guys, You have made an old chap happy. To think you can store and play your music like this is to me truly amazing.

With volumio and coreelec (Dualboot/SPI) on an odroid n2+ i got the best sound and the best ripping ever. My set: an amplifier from Andre Buscher and the BK201 3 KH horn tweeter from art of sound. The DAC is a TEAC UD501. I could not find any problems.
