“Volumio používám velmi málo, jen několikrát do roka. Po poslední aktualizaci je RPI 4 velmi pomalé. Na dotykovém displeji nefungují tlačítka Play / Pause... Kdysi existoval i plugin s klávesnicí na displeji, nyní je nutné použít k ovládání jiné zařízení. Hromada funkcí nefunguje spolehlivě. Párkrát jsem i musel celý systém znovu přeinstalovat. Nepřipadá mi, že bych ještě za to měl platit.”

“There are much better "FREE" music-player solutions available. volumio seems to force their user to only get a convenient and nice working version of volumio if they pay for. So i don't use volumio anymore.”

“I'm just "forced" to use Volumio as part of my miniDSP device. The lack of native Spotify support should be noted. The available 3rd party plugin works but does not support lossless playback. Tidal plays like a charm. Why not Spotify too? I also did not manage to make it see and import all my NAS music (mp3 and flac) and believe me, I have tried everything. The gui is not the easiest as well. Try to create a list of favorite web radio stations and re-arrange them and you'll see what I mean. I guess it has lots of functionalities that I don't really need or use, but for the above, it does not serve the purpose for me. I wish miniDSP switched to a different software. Many kudos for the open source choice :) ... and apologies for the bad review. You cannot keep everyone happy, but I am sure it can act as an incentive to improve.”

“The sound quality on the Rivo Plus is exceptional, far superior to even the latest Eversolo T8 transport. The software, however, well, that's another story. The app is completely unstable; it is constantly crashing, and often just won't connect to my iPhone. I no longer use the app; I just connect directly on Google Chrome using my iPad. Even then, it has its moments. Please, please, fix your software; that should be the easy part.”

“Sent it back for refund. Just didn't work. Couldn't set it up and the app collapsed every hour or so. Totally unstable platform. Considering it was designed by software engineers, you made a poor job of your app.”

“New version isn’t so good. It isn’t user friendly. Moreover it does work well. It is slow and very responsive. Quality of the sound is ok. New version is not simple to be linked to music apps.”

“Volumio stopped working entirely on a Raspberry Pi device. Before that experience I found the software clunky, at best, while using Qobuz. After the RPi device stopped working I reached out to Volumio to find support nonexistent despite having a full year plan. I can not recommend this and am actively looking for alternative streaming sources.”

“The platform is unstable. It regularly looses contact signal with the streamer. You have to restart the strwamer to regain contact. In play lists, it frequently skips to the next song when in the middle of playing one. I am in the process of changing my streamer purely so I can get rid of Volumio.”

“Great to use as standalone device. I wanted to set up multiroom - Volumio only does this via subscription. I'd have happily paid a one off fee but I didn't want to commit to monthly/yearly fees so I switched to Lyrion Music Server / piCorePlayer (now running on 4 x Pi Zero W with HiFiBerry DACs and Fosi amps). It works really well, no regrets switching!”

“My opinion is related to the only feature I need and that is no more available. Rendering for tidal connect. I don't need volumio as streaming service for tidal because I have an external streamer (innuos) with proprietary app perfectly working. So if I use tidal connect I from my smartphone and I would like to connect it to my raspberry p4bi for sending the signal to my dac ... I really don't understand why you changed the rule and stopping this feature. So ... in my opinion 2 stars are right.”

“I used to have Volumio running for every stereo in my house, but stopped using it once they not only pestered me for money but required personal info and account creation just go download a touch screen plugin. I use moOde now, not that impressed with it but on principle it's better.”

“Mi dispiace ma quando utilizzo l app volumino per riprodurre Tidal(cioe' sempre)e' tutto veramente troppo macchinoso e lento lento veramente troppo lento per caricare un album occorre alle volte fino a quasi un minuto.Cosa ovviamente non accade utilizzando l app tidal con tidal connect.L app della wiimi signori miei e' anni luce piu' fluida della vostra.”
