This works well for my Pi4 DAC. It had a few kinks to work through via trial and error as for me there are some gaps in how to setup and run this software on a Pi4 DAC. But I enjoy working through things and have had no issues now, and I have been playing music and podcasts with no problems for several months.

I am new to Volumio with the purchase of Rivo. I am still learning my way around but have experienced a few glitches. One is likely with my televisions hdmi settings I’m still trying to sort out. Like I said, I’m still learning. Scrolling through my playlist seems to only be accomplished by swiping up or down, I would have expected a slider/buttons on the margin to slide up or down. When you swipe a “button” appears on the right side but I have yet to figure out any way but to swipe, which with a large playlist takes some effort. I’ve had a few glitches, the remote on my iPad seems slow to respond, once the player would not respond so I attempted to restart Volumio and after I had closed it a random track started playing I could only stop by shutting down iPad. User error, very possible but worth mentioning the few glitches in an expensive highly touted player. Aside from that sound quality is very good and the unit itself is very attractive. Still learning my way around.

I have a custom made dac, controlled by RPI. The RPI's software had crashed. Initially I installed Volumio 3. With this the dac did play again, only at a pitch of about an octave lower. With headphones in the RPI, the good sound was reproduced. Tried to solve that together with Davide from Volumio. Davide told me that Volumio 3 is based on a different operating system than previous versions. I have a latest version of Volumio 2 installed. This solves the problem.

Hi, I have had an issue with Tidal Connect and I've sent an e-mail to the Support regarding it. Davide promptly answered, pointing me to the support site, but the solution was easy: I've used a wrong name for my Volumio device, so it was unresponsive because of that. Anyway, I am satisfied with the level of support for Volumi, although I have to say that I am using the version 2.917. I did not upgrade to version 3 since I've read that there's a lot of issues with it and the version I'm using is stable and does what it is supposed to do. Vlada

It’s a perfect airplay solution for the raspberry Pi; and very easy to setup.

Easy to use. almost can find any function.

I love the idea to have an OS for only music...no overhead... just functions which you need. I would give 5 Stars, but I had really trouble to get my optical output to work. This could be a little bit better. But overall I am very happy.

Very easy to install and configure! ( RaspberryPi #2, #3, #4 and Tinkerboard around the house...). Using it with Hifiberry DAC +, IQDigiAmp and Cambridge Dacmagic usb-dac with very good results :). Music ( FLAC ) from attached HDD. Also used as streaming receiver for Apple Play and Spotify. Highly recommended as replacement to much more expensive ready-made equipment.

No issues, works great, however it would be nice to incorporate more streaming plugins.

Volumio does almost everything I want it to. However, I am not able to connect to my NAS (RPi4 running PiCorePlayer attached to router). Otherwise, it's great.

Really great. Easy to install and configure. Would be better with posibility to set bluetooth as output. But for the rest it's a good thing.

Hello, excellent application that revives my old stereo. Many thanks for that! Is it possible to use Volumio with "Nuclear Music Player" a kind of free Spotify. It would be a great improvement. Thank you for your attention https://nuclear.js.org/
Helpful Report
It's a pretty good music player but not so great if you use a Raspberry pi with a touch screen as there is no support on the new version for a pop up keyboard & having to use a Bluetooth keyboard defeats the purpose of having a touch screen.
