“Eine der besten Open Source Player für den Raspberry Pi! Die Klangqualität ist, einen hervorragenden DAC vorausgesetzt, kompromisslos gut. Und das die Basisversion dazu noch kostenlos ist und gut gepflegt wird, ist schon super! Würde für die Vollversion gerne auch einmalig einen anständigen Preis bezahlen, von Abo-Modellen jedoch nehme ich Abstand.”

“It didn't fit my requirements. I went with Gentoo player. If I recall it was the lack of player history and the limited UI. Not enough options for customization. Volumio is better suited for someone who just wants it to work.”

“I have an extensive library of music, much of it at CD quality. Volumio was great when I wanted to listen to my music at home, but when I wanted to listen to music on my phone out in the world, I needed to pay - to listen to my own music. I dumped Volumio and used MPD and Snapcast to create a whole-home music system which I also use as an alarm clock, and can listen to my music wherever I go for free.”

“It does work very well on the PI. When I start up there is some delay before it connects to the phone. The interface is a little awkward, but you soon get used to it. I started using internet radio and there was a problem try to get some stations like in Jorden. When I looked on the internet to see how to solve the problem it was very confusing. This problem does show up elsewhere and is annoying. Normal stations are fine. But they work on my radio as well.!!!”

“it’s a fantastic product with such easy user interface. I bought it to control a hi-fiberry DAC. It sounds amazing at the four bit rate Spotify server allows. It’s easy to set up. I will probably use the software to do a smaller build with a pi zero I have used Volumio for at least eight years plus. Strong recommends. 4/5 because there are times when it just doesn’t want to connect as a headless Spotify server, and it will be unpredictable. I had a period of over six months where this was the case and the current build seems to be much more stable.”

“In general pretty good, I just would like the update process to be more visible, it is a black box where you can only wait and "hope". Different sorting options across multiple drives/directories so that the music database appears as one irrespective of the origin would be good.”

“First of all, I have used your OS software for several years and have truly enjoyed the sound quality on offer. I have no need for the extra paid features so this has worked perfectly for me. I did purchase your entry streamer some time ago and in this case I was not happy with the ergonomics or performance. I am curious on your new DAC, however, if I don't like the unit returns will be difficult and the reason to refrain. Cheers to the business and improving sound quality!”
