Just unstable, and Spotify connect constantly falling. Older versions were better.

I am still getting used to it. My experience so far with auto-upgrade or auto updates have not gone very well for me. What used to work in my initial version 2 was lost after the upgrade / update. For now, I am sticking with Version 2. My Ver 2 configuration is working for me. I've made multiple copies of this SD card in case one of mine gets corrupted. I have made on a separate SD card, a version 3, but do not find a Pandora add in and I don't know how to do that via a manual configuration. Later I do plan on setting up a Linux Media NAS to load all my music collection and stream it to my Allo DigiOne media player. For now, I am happy to have something that works after spending a ton on this RPi 4 Allo DigiOne player. If I find something else that works more easily out of the box, I'll switch in a new york minute, but, for now I am struggling with Volumio, but content with version 2. The more experience I get maybe I will intrinsically enjoy it more. I cannot recommend this to my friends because they'd all pester me for tech support that I don't have a command knowledge of to run Volumio.... I wished I could have offered a better review. But truthfully, I am struggling with Volumio. Especially after hocking over $460 for this Allo DigiOne that I WANT to work better for me. Thank you for allowing me to be truthful with you. I am using the latest Volumio version 3.198 running on an Allo USBridge Signature plus DigiOne Signature (spidif output on RCA and BNC) streamer. I recently suscribed to Volumio Premium for 59.99€/year to get Quobuz integration within the app which was expected to work with no issues. The Volumio app runs on iPhone and iPad (both devices running iOS 15.3), it is easy and nice to use, however the bitrates shown on Qobuz tracks are mostly wrong, and there are several usability glitches too, but the WORST ISSUE is the annoying noise or distorted sound coming out of my DAC (Hugo TT2 with M-Scaler) when going from the current track to a track that has a different bit rate, no matter if higher or lower, no matter if on a playlist or not. This happens both using USB or spidif. The issue is well reported in the forum with no solution support. This issue does not occur when using Qobuz native app running on the same iOS devices connected over USB to the same DAC. For me this is a show stopper till Volumio resolves the issue, quite frustrating, especially when I suscribed expecting a better experience...

Very slow and unreliable platform on V3. This was my first time using Volumio. My listening experience was not satisfying. I’ve left the platform all together.

I have a virtuoso annual plan. After updating to volumio 3 the system does not recognize my subscription. Tidal connect is not working. Very disappointing.

Until now was using Volumio 2 and was excellent. After the last update to volumio 3 vilumio is useless. It freezes after 2 to 4 songs. It won't respond and won't play songs. When i make a restart it plays again and after some songs the same happens. I installed again volumio 2 and everything is fine. Volumio 3 update is not working for me and i am sure is software problem. I hope it will be fixed soon.

I use Volumio Primo with Roon and after updating to version 3 the system is ustable. During last week at least a few times my Roon could not find Volumio and I had to reboot it.

Poor setup instructions and UI initiation. Not user friendly for setup and initiation of VOLUMIO UI. Took me 3 weeks to figure out! Get rid of on screen login to initiate VOLUMIO UI after setup. Replace VOLUMIO App login Green Play button with the words,"START, OPEN or NEXT", because I would not select the Green Play button for 3 weeks, because I had not selected a particular music file or Radio stream to play yet. VERY MISLEADING AND CONFUSING! The Favorites selection process is confusing as to where to find your selected Favorites. Seemscto be 2 different types of Favorites locations. Either have only 1 or label them separately. Lots of online Radio stations have multiple folders of the same station under the same folder. Eliminate duplicates. I once found about 8 of the same online Radio streams under different selections in the same subfolder. You sometimes have to select the same Radio station multiple times before the error message(s) go away and the Radio station plays. But the basic layout and organization of the UI is good, but needs work to become user friendly.

I have 2 raspberry Pi both with Volumio. I’m not sure if it’s the app or the Pi but I have to restart the app and Pi at least once a day. The volume button on the app doesn’t work. I get errors when searching for songs. The price for the app and software are excessive when you look at how poorly it works. Should be a lot cheaper until they iron out the bugs.

Quite buggy and that's for a product that's been around for a few years. Tracks skipping randomly for no reason. Qobuz disappears completely from my menu and then comes back after a couple restarts. Unresponsiveness sometimes where nothing will happen and track picked won't start playing. This is on a pi. Wished I had gone with ropie and Roon now.

My computer crasht and I have to reinstall the whole program as that I have some troubles with install the program, because it stay as not installed. So some settings are wrong. You cannot install direct as an operating systen the program and it's necessary to have a server operating system for install. So the proam or software developers have to do a better job or work on it.

hello, i have a big problem with Volumio. I have to set the amplifier level to 90/100, before the 55/100 level was enough for comfortable listening. How to fix this problem ? Thank you

Generally good but too many bugs. I play music from NAS but i can only play first track from catalog. I can't choose 2nd, etc. I don't know why. I also use plugin for Spotify but if playlist contains too many songs you can play only positions from beginning of the list (first 50 or something, i don't know exactly how many). Adding username and password to Spotify plugin is a kind of hidden option. I found it by chance.

As soon they taken my subscription fee it stopped working. Tidal connect is no longer available. What can I say?

Nothing out of the standard services other apps provide. Moreover adding Tidal require premium subscription, if so I'm going with Roon, that's an smooth and great added value app

The price is 5 times higher (for 5 Years), but it doesn't works well. Only USB is working. And the sound quality is also very low. I do compare it with m2P, what is much better at all in all points anch cheaper - sorry...

Problematic at times. Unable to move forward and backwards in playlist. Mobile app disconnects too frequently.
Helpful Report
Very flaky UI. Regularly need to refresh or reboot. Often the wrong track will play or not at all. Also, you can only see Tidal master albums when you search by artist, if you search by album you can't tell what version it is. Running on a Pi and Volumio can't see my external drive. I haven't had this problem with other Linux OS.
