“Great product. Installation on a Raspberry Pi was easy. The sound is great. There are some minor flaws in the software and it is a pity that the Spotify connect app doesn't work.”

“Il y a peu d'avis francophone alors j'y vais. Volumio est le produit que je cherchais qui permet de créer sa médiathèque en local ou sur un NAS. Très intuitif, il permet d'écouter ses fichiers dans de nombreux formats et aussi les radios du Web que l'on peut soi-même ajouter, ça c'est très bien. Mise à part quelques petites bizarreries, l'interface est très bien faite et la distribution est parfaitement stable.”

“Hardware gewordene Software, super. Beim Rippen fehlt mir Fehlerkorrektur und Zugriff auf Coverdatenbanken. Aber das ist Klagen auf hohem Niveau. Volumio ist seit seiner Ankunft fester Bestandteil des Hifi Setups”

“Volumio allows you to reuse old but good hifi amps and speakers so you don’t have to buy new! Not having Bluetooth connectivity is a real pain, even my car offers that! I understand a Subscription model is needed but only supporting other subscription content services and not offering access itself is a bit bonkers? The streaming radios and access to USB devices is great but there is no content management. Great interface though, looking forward to more plugins!”

“Both web apis are partly broken(socket & rest), which greatly affects the ability of building your own client to control volumio device. Does not work with Bluetooth low energy remote controller(consumer control usage table). Besides the drawbacks mentioned above, i do think it's great product overall”

“J'utilise Volumio depuis plusieurs années avec le player Raspberry Pi3 et Digit plus et Deezer et je suis satisfait du coté convivial et la mise en oeuvre qui est devenue trés facile. Actuellement je fais évoluer le Pi3 avec l'ajout du Allo digit one Signature et d'un Dac Gustard et de Cobuz mais je conserverais Volumio.”

“Volumio works fine. Some instances where I had to reboot the volumio because I couldn’t access it Then, I‘ld like to know whether there is something like tidal connect. i.e. my tidal (!) App on the iPhone re-directs the stream directly from tidal to volumio to yield full bitrate. Now it’s only 44khz airplay limited. And i‘ld like to use today’s native app”

“Yes, it is a very good platform and idea behind it, but even with spending lots of hours with trying, testing, image-burning and so on i have ALSA-errors every time when the raspi has been restarted. Only a new flashed sd-card works until the raspi was shut down once. Maybe it´s a hardware based problem with the new hifiberry DAC2 Pro? I don´know. But i know, that i can´t use Volumio with this DAC at the moment. If the problem can be fixed, Volumio would be worth 5 stars, no question ;-)”

“Ich habe im Monat 10/2020 den VOLUMIO Primo Hifi gekauft. Meine eigenen Cds werden über fritzbox/externe Festplatte erkannt und gespielt.(Fritzboxserver) das klappt gut und klingt super. Tidal funkioniert auch. Leider lassen sich keine Playlisten einrichten, Favoriten werden nicht abgespeichert, Shutdown des Gerätes klappt auch nicht, hängt sich jedesmal auf, findet den server nicht wieder, kein restart möglich, nur über "stecker ziehen". Also noch jede Menge software probleme, leider !!”
