Hi Caitlin, sorry to hear that you didn't get the suit that you wanted. We do advertise the wetsuit thickness on our website in the description of the product. However, we will look into making it more clear.
Please note that we use premium Yamamoto limestone neoprene that offers better insulation than standard neoprene. So the 1 mm suit is quite toasty. Please also check our reviews to see what others are saying.
