Angela birtwhistle is the reason I'm writing a good review today. She reassured me and explained in a way I could understand. I'm hoping the rest of my experience goes as good as the phone call.

I bought a Fiat 500L, 63 plate and just over 50k miles so my expectations are level headed. The seller was quick to negotiate a better price, agreed to a quick delivery some 60 miles away from me with a fresh new MOT, I have to say his responses were quick, polite and even had a tracker so I knew when he was going to arrive. Unfortunately, this was when the good experience ended I noticed that although the seller initiated text messages, he would not answer any specific questions by them, this was always done by a phone call. The car came with a lot of promise, as does all of his other adverts: Cleaned inside and out, internal engine cleaner added to the oil, brake spray applied to callipers, discs and brakes, fuel system cleaner, forecourt valet using the finest products and a fresh service. The car was also advertised with three service history, the car had none. On arrival the car was filthy inside and out, tried to tell me that it was due to driving here. It was covered in cobwebs. Minor issue really, especially with the speed of delivery. He showed me the paperwork and there was no service history at all, he tried to push MOT receipts in front of me and took them back when challenged, the best was receipt for oil... this is not a full service. The rear windscreen washer did not work, on arrival said he would pay for the repair – again minor issue but I noticed the next day when trying to use the washer the fluid was pouring out from behind the front wheel arch. I agreed to take the car and have a mechanical minded son has since had a look at the car, mechanically it is a good car. However, it has been in an accident that was not disclosed and certainly has not had any service within the last couple of years, all of the filters were filthy. I contacted the seller again and I received what I would describe as a 40-minute ranting phone call from him. All I wanted was for him to pay for the service items as the advert promised it had. He was rude, name calling, overtalked and raised voice was the lowest tone he had. He called me a boy racer! With what I had been doing with the car, now I am a middle aged professional and the car is for my wife whose disabilities prohibit her from driving a manual car. On top of that a 500L is far from a boy racer car, kind of laughable. I asked for a Halfords Service or even stated if he bought the parts I would service myself. Flat refusal. I asked about the 12 day money back guarantee, he actually demanded the car back!. However would come with a delivery charge, collection charge, mileage charge, change of ownership charge, warranty charge, his mechanic to look at it (probably charged) … he stated it was a money back guarantee with T&C’s, these were not disclosed. Despite numerous times asking what the charges where he refused to tell me sounded like I would owe him money to take the car back. It is a shame; the car is ok. It has faults but it is a ten-year-old car. But the seller is a blatant liar and argumentative, loud responses would scare off the faint hearted. He had no need to lie about the car based on the age, just say it how it is. I would not buy from the seller again, untrustworthy and its possible he did an oil change, but I have forked out for a full service myself just to make sure the car is safe for my wife and child. If buying from him beware – car probably good, just get him to confirm in writing and do and do a simple check on the air filter before you part with your money.

I'm disappointed without even needing to claim, no faults with my vehicle but I've got a few signs that made me to not trust this company. I'm only on my first week of cover and they keep calling me and hang out all the time after I answer then once I call them back they keep me on hold for long time then they do the same. I tried another number and told them but they didn't really cared about. When I asked them about my cover I've been told to look on the booklet, no interest of being helpful in any way. I doubt I'll get any help if I need to use the cover. I lost my trust and I'm canceling my Platinum cover within the first 14 days. Better no cover than covered by the wrong company at my expenses! I tried online as well and it's a waste of time, waiting too long for a basic answer after providing all the details they asked for!

Misleading and fraudulent company 1. Misleading Information: I was misled and given false information regarding coverage for the alternator and wear and tear under the warranty plan. 2. Fraudulent Practices: Allegations of fraudulent practices and misrepresentation by Warrantywise have caused significant anxiety and distress to the customer. 3. Breach of Customer Trust: The lack of transparency and integrity in the sales process has eroded customer trust and confidence in Warrantywise. Do not buy or waste your money I recorded all the calls and I was told different scam company if they change there mind with the decision I may change my thoughts policy 13690936

If you are thinking of signing up then DON'T If you are thinking of signing up then don't it's a scam. They will always find an excuse to not cover anything you need covered even if it's included in your plan. Fault on my car has been confirmed by 2 different garages (including main dealer garage) but Warrantywise team still knew better. Faulty part was listed in my plan as something they'd cover but they just said their terms are too lose to legally apply, you'll end up paying for months of cover and then suddenly when you need them, they will just decline your claim. If you would have to follow any advice from this fantastic company experts you would need to keep going with the faulty bits until breakdown on the side of the road. No way this 5 stars reviews are genuine.

I took out a warranty with warrantywise,on the advert it stated the potential cost of repairs to a variety of vehicles! The one that caught my attention was Porsche Macan transfer case! I have a Macan so went ahead with the warranty at around £900.00 for peace of mind. 10 months in and after only 4000 miles the transfer case failed. So I informed warrantywise and was told to get the car checked and scanned at a vat registered garage and send the results to them ,also send the service history.i had to do a 120 mile round trip plus pay £150 for the exam. The next thing I heard from Warrantywise was that this was a common problem with the Macan and therefore not covered!! The estimate was £4600.00 and they flatly refuse to pay anything towards it!! So if you are thinking of buying a warranty for peace of mind please think again!! Put the money in the bank instead!!!! .

I found out my partner had taken an GOLD policy when she bought her Nissan after 10 months!! GOLD policy she said, her car needed repairs inc handbrake cable, tie rod, air con and bottom arm drivers side. She called them up remember she was sold a GOLD policy, told hey it’ll cover you. WRONG and there we go, 11 month £69 payments up in smoke. She’s ended Sarranty Wise now but AVOID save your hard earned money in a Starling account for rainy days. This is daylight robbery and I’m fuming. If I could give -5 I would. Ahhhhh

Absolute scammers!!! AVOID !! The plans look good until you try and claim under them. One word they didn’t like on my claim form and that was it rejected my claim and wouldn’t even consider it. You would be better off saving every month and using a money pot then wasting a penny on them. The quicker this company is shut down the better!!

Ask to leave them a review soon as you get into the policy to bulk there 5 star reviews up. There is loads of fine print to get out of paying a repair, they’ll do absolutely anything. Very dishonest company. Most garages in the UK refuse to work with warranty wise, so much so they have had to hire a 3rd party company to help find willing garages. Stay away folks, they will not repair your car!!

They use the excuse that don't cover multiple repairs for not cover a repair included in the policy. However they didn't explain this issue in advance, waiting until the workshop has already sent them the estimated repairing cost. Absolute waste of time and money

DO NOT BE FOOLED. These plans are an absolute waste of money. Halfords assessed that my car had a range of issues including shock absorbers, brake callipers and brake discs, all of which are covered on the Gold Plan. Warrantywise simply said that all of the issues were due to worn parts and refused the lot. Not entirely sure how any car parts that aren’t brand new could be considered NOT to be worn. Should have known. I’ve since heard from 2 colleagues saying they had been refused by Warrantywise for work they were sure would be covered in their plans. Glorified insurance company. Insurance companies do not like paying up. DO NOT BUY!

MIS-SELLING AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID Biggest mistake of my life buying a warranty with this company. Cant believe I was so naive and believed what the sales guy was saying. I bought a 06/60 policy with level 3 labour for £1350, the sales guy convinced me to go for the level 3 cover so that I can take the car to a main dealer without worrying. Lo and behold I take the car to vauxhall who put in a repair request and they telling me the parts need to be bought from euro carparts and that the job will take 0.2 hours instead of 1.2 hours. What is the point of taking the car to a main dealer if they are going to dictate how they want the job done. Absolutely shocking company. They sell you a dream and you end up with a nightmare. The best bit is that they hide all your comments on social media, wonder why? Something to hide me thinks? They talk about transparency but dont know the meaning of the word. Also all these fake 5 star reviews need to be investigated I find it hard to believe they are genuine. Need to be investigated for mis-selling.

The experience with WarrantyWise leaves me feeling cheated. Only when coming to make a claim and/or cancel the policy do you get told of multiple restrictions and limitations that were not made clean on taking out the policy. eg. I added the 'ev package' to my car only to find out a single claim cant exceed £1k - good luck replacing your battery for £1k. They will excuse hiding this information by telling you its in their terms and conditions, but who is going to get their lawyer to read this before taking out a policy... This should be made clear in the initial sales call and judging by previous reviews I am not the only one who feels this way.
