Don’t waste your money with Warranty Wise. I’ve learned the hard way. Warranty Wise are great at selling policies but ever better at not paying out on claims…. They promise they are different to other insurances and will always look after you- but once the policy is sold they give the run around for any claim. and be warned - you beteer have the complete car service history or they wont pay. I have full history and they still didnt pay!

They told me what I wanted to hear over the phone [it’s going to be exactly the same warranty as what your manufacturers warranty was] I took this for granted but after two months a front sensor failed also a rear tailligate damper failed they told me I had to pay for a premium up front and they wouldn’t cover the rear tailgate damper as I had only taken out the policy two months ago. Don’t go near this company run like this is carrying the plague Also I’d tried to cancel the policy 3 weeks prior to making a claim I was held in a queue for over an hour on the phone and didn’t get through so I sent them an email via their service desk they never replied so after they declined my claim I just had to phone my bank and cancel any further payments.

My car, a BMW F10, was 11 years old with over 102,000 miles when I contacted Warrantywise for a warranty policy last year (April 2023), trusting their claim to be the "UK #1 Warranty provider". They sold me a warranty specifically for older, high-mileage cars. When they asked for proof of mileage, I sent them photos of the dash showing over 102,000 miles. However, when my rear differential failed (the most mechanical part of the car), they denied my claim albeit being explicitly listed under "items included" in their policy, citing "wear and tear" and that "we cannot assess wear and tear for cars over 100k miles or 10years old" – the very reason I purchased the warranty! I believe this is a clear misselling of a financial product I was paying £85 a month for (over £1200 premium). Given their unfair, unacceptable decision, I requested a callback to cancel my policy. To add insult to injury, they canceled my policy without my permission after I requested a callback before canceling my policy when I missed a call from them (at 1629 GMT today). I have sent their Escalations team an email, and will take them to Financial Ombudsman and Trading Standards if they do not resolve the issue. This feels like a scam. This is deceptive and unethical business practice. Do not trust WarrantyWise with your hard-earned money. Avoid at all costs.

Warranty not so wise , bought a car it had 2 issues and neither were covered, the repair phone line is always hard to get to without a long wait, the delay in finding out I wasn't actually covered was 5 weeks!!!! which is the reason for 1 star , not worth having so don't extend the cover because they will certainly get hold of you when selling the extension

If you like throwing money away then take out a plan with warranty wise, no garage will work with them, trust me I’ve tried, I was then contacted asking if I’d like to extend said warranty, I explained how no garage will take the work when warranty wise is the provider, the guy on the phone said that warranty wise should find a garage for me to work with, funny that because when I called warrantywise explaining to them that no garage would take on the work they said I have to find my own garage, make it make sense, so you’ve been warned stay clear!!!

I do not recommend anyone to pay money for nothing! I took out the insurance policy 9 months ago and when the head gasket failed, their answer was that the car is too old for them to cover the repairs! But they didn't say that 9 months ago, so not even a year had passed! Then they didn't consider the car too old! I would have liked to read the reviews before, but I didn't. And I think that for any failure, they will find an answer not to pay. Be careful when you take out the insurance.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They do not help you when you need a repair on your car. They turn around and say it's not covered by your warranty, which is a lie. You are scammers. People should avoid this company at all costs.

Hi, maybe some people consider my opinion wrong, but I think this company is useless. I say this because I bought a car directly from the dealer that came with a one-year warranty (Warrantywise) and only after a few days I noticed a problem (valve clearance) I also took the car to a similar but local dealer and after diagnosis they came to the conclusion that 4 tappet valves need to be changed against the sum of £602 which includes diagnosis, parts and labor which the warranty refuses to pay

Avoid this warranty provider at all costs. I recently purchased a vehicle and this warranty and I can honestly say it is a waste of money. My first claim was rejected on the grounds of it not being covered. It was clearly covered in the warranty booklet. They used a technicality of it being a BMW additional part (obviously not listed) to try and get out of this claim. The garage where I purchased the car upgraded the warranty at the cost of, I believe, a 1000 pounds (total 2600) to platinum. They then, eventually (after me having to hire a car). The next claim, baring in mind it was on covers everything platinum) they came back with it was a result of manifest (meaning use of the car). This (over a period of many weeks and more car hire) resulted in in eventually being fixed. predominantly on the garage thretening to withdrawal business from them. I subsequnetly tried to cancel and they obliged after many many unreturned calls with an email saying "we have cancelled the policy and you will recieve no money back'. Absolutely shocking customer service and warranty. Ignore the so called positive reviews and focus on the negative ones as I am sure these are more accurate of REAL customer experience. If you are looking for a warranty LOOK ELSEWHERE. NOT ONLY DOES THIS WARRANTY CHALLENGE EVERYTHING CLAIM YOU WILL MAKE, BUT YOU ONLY GET THE COUTESSY CAR FOR THE TIME IN REPAIR. THAT IS WHEN THE MECANIC IS WORKING ON IT. NOT BEFORE. NOT UNTIL COLLECTION. THE X AMOUNT OF HOURS THEY WORK ON THE CAR. AGAIN, USELESS.

A month after purchasing my porsche from invictus motors I had the turbo charger fail after covering around 200mile . The gold warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on as took 4 months to get them to pay not even half the repair bill. Apparently they lost my details and could contact me. How convenient. I think this place is fine if u own a car worth up to 5000 pounds anything else forget it.

Bought a used car and got the silver package warrenty for 3 month with car. 3 days later car had a problem with a metrical part. Called warranty wise about this and did not want to know saying electrical faults was not on the liver plan. But I know this is wrong as my father is a solicitor and looked into this. This company likes saying NO quit a lot

Currently in a battle over a premature failure of bearings in my cars turbo. Continually refusing to pay out even with my mechanic stating categorically this is a premature failure they keep trying to say there must have been an oil leak. My mechanic has very clearly told them there was no leak. Slippery business, very shady. I've emailed Watchdog but also interestingly enough, for anyone on here to follow up with via ombudsman or court. I've found a job advert for their 'Technicians' role. The job of dealing with looking over the mechanics report and deciding if the repair goes ahead. The vacancy specifically states, "no mechanical knowledge required" * I've attached the screenshot, along with another one from a Facebook sponsored ad with Edd China. In the comments someone asked what he has to do with the company. I've screenshot the conversation where Warrantywise state he is " contracted by us to act as our final arbiter in claims. If you are dissatisfied you can speak to Edd directly about your repair." Quite a thing to divulge, so obviously I contacted Edd via his Facebook page as Warrantywise conveniently don't give a contact address. I'll update if he responds. However, if anyone is interested, BBC Watchdog are very interested in the dealings of this company. Email them your story. Good luck all. Rachel
