“Wether you are travelling our of necessity or for pleasure, Wightlink have made crossing the water to the island and back stress free and most enjoyable. From the moment you are checked in via car registration recognition and friendly staff to disembarking, the whole process is smooth, easy and safe. If you are a first time traveller to the island using your car, use Wightlink's informative website to guide you through what to do. It's easy to navigate and allows you know what to do and when to do it. The site is reassuring and this is reinforced by super friendly staff. The vessels are clean and modern and before you know it the crossing is over. Some seats are a little worn in places but can be comfortably overlooked. Communications are clear and loud. Facilities are clean and tidy, reasonably priced and varied. Staff were helpful and friendly. Going on board for the first time provides so many opportunities to forget where you've parked your car! Make sure you take note what deck and door you use. Though if you do forget, the staff will direct you. There aren't that many signs on board and some confusing stairways. On your return journey, this won't be a problem. Both Lymington and Yarmouth are picturesque ports. Your holiday snaps will be in abundance. The option to check in an hour early, leave the car in your assigned waiting bay and explore the surrounding area (with cafes) is just great. Yarmouth has a beautiful pier that is just a minutes walk away. Don't be nervous about time, set an alarm to get back in time and go explore for 45 minutes. Taking your car across is pricey but so is fuel. I felt the service provided justified cost. If you save your Tesco clubcard vouchers it could be next to nothing.”
