“We had a very smooth crossing from Lymington to Yarmouth and return. The only problem was that we couldn't choose our first choice time for the return ferry.”

“We had a very enjoyable trip out on St Claire and had a coffee which was very pleasant. Unfortunately only gave **** as on the return trip on Victoria found the seats very grubby and dog hairs all over the carpet and cushions. Found this a bit irritating as a pets area is well signposted at the other end of the ferry. We actually saw a passenger with a dog in the area where we were sitting and the dog was climbing all over the surrounding seating area and no member of staff took any action to stop this. Very impressed with the embarkation and disembarkation really good idea having gantry's for both decks makes things a lot speedier than the old days of emptying bottom deck before upper deck could get off.”

“Ferry was clean and the one crew member we spoke to to ask where the pet area was, was friendly and helpful. Compared to the seating in the main passenger area, the seating in the pet area appeared a bit "tired", but still comfortable. There was a "cleaning station" available in case of pet accidents. The only negative comment is that the refreshment kiosk in the pet area was closed, so any "solo" passengers had to either take thier dog down to the main passenger salon, or leave thier dog unattended if they wanted any refreshments.”

“Wightlink work hard to keep to the published timetable, they are generally helpful and friendly. Considering that they have a monopoly over routes to the Isle of Wight they do make every effort to offer a reliable, efficient service. Peak season, peak time crossings are pricey, particularly if travelling by car, it really makes you doubt whether you really want to go over there. My experiences since travelling more frequently to visit a new grandchild have been very positive, but it is getting expensive, I would travel more often if the price was lower.”
