“Generally, we were very happy with the service we received. Buyers were found quickly and the service was efficient. We had a small issue with compromise of personal data which was sorted out entirely satisfactorily and we received a written apology from Chris Willey, which was an entirely acceptable conclusion. There is one issue which, we felt, was not ideal which I think is worth mentioning - not a complaint, but an observation. Towards the end of our transaction, there was a hold up to the sale because our tenants' purchase was delayed a month from the original date. When this happened, Wilsons were annoyed with me, expressing that annoyance on the phone. Their view seemed to be that I was effectively in a chain and that I hadn't been completely honest about that. This was not the case. My tenants could have found alternative accommodation if necessary, but I wasn't prepared to force them into that situation. Instead, I agreed they could stay for the extra month until their new house was available. I had never given an undertaking to Wilsons about my willingness to exchange and complete before Christmas, so I found it disappointing to receive the rather unfriendly phone call that took place. I remember thinking at the end of the call that it was as if Wilsons were acting for my purchasers rather than for me. My tenants later told me that they had not appreciated the tone of the phone call they received from Wilsons that day. Perhaps someone was just having a bad day! Anyway, it all worked out fine and we exchanged and completed satisfactorily. This feedback is not meant to be negative, but simply to highlight how that particular interaction made me feel. I don't think it was Wilson's finest moment. Other than that, I received good and efficient service and I would consider using Wilsons again next time I need an estate agent.”

We feel it necessary to point out that you were, in effect, in a chain, as your tenants had to delay their move for a number of weeks in order to secure their onward purchase. The frustration caused to the buyer could have caused them to withdraw. It was necessary to clarify this point to you but at no time was anyone annoyed with you. I am nonetheless pleased you were satisfied overall with our service and that all was well that ended well. Chris Willey.

“We are extremely grateful for all the support we received from Wilson's. We feel as though we built a lovely relationship with the team especially (Dan and Julia) who supported us throughout the whole selling process, which in our case was slightly more complex than most! “I called Wilsons a few days before I was due to go on a weeks holiday and said 'what's the chances of getting this house on the market before I go on holiday'? Dan arrived at my house, photos were taken, details logged, anything requiring signature were emailed and a few days into my holiday I had a draft set of particulars - the house went to market less than a week from my initial call! Three days from the house being advertised I had agreed a sale - Wilsons dealt with all the enquiries and attended viewings with potential purchasers. 8-weeks later the sale is complete - money in the bank and new owners moved in!!!! Amazing More importantly - it didn't matter who I spoke to the person always knew about my property and at what stage in the process we were at - everyone was so approachable and I always felt like they were working with me to achieve the best possible outcome - Thank you Wilsons”

“Wilsons valued our house at £195,000, were even prepared due to its renovated condition to market for £199,500 but we agreed on the lower as more realistic, especially when another local estate agent Webbers, wanted to market our house at £185,000 with their hope of achieving £180,000. After 4 weeks with Wilsons, our house sold for £192,500. All Wilsons staff provided excellent service, and continual accurate feedback as the house sale proceeded. I would seriously recommend and not hesitate in using their five star service again!”
