“For a very long time, my Mum has thought that when I talk about 'my wine friend' I was talking about my friend Aimee. She thought that once a month, my friend was sending me six carefully curated wines for me to try. To be fair, she's not far wrong - but rather than it being my wine friend Aimee, it's the fantastic team of people at WineFrend. As a millennial, I have a load of subscription services. Netflix, Disney, Neon, the gym (lol). I can safely say that WineFriend is the one that is worth the money. I joined because I wanted to broaden my horizons from Cab Sav and Chardonnay, and rather than blindly pick bottles based on labels, I have a whole team of friendly, helpful people (I imagine) sitting around, reviewing what I've liked and said, and carefully selecting six for the next month. I must be honest, I thought that the reviews was just shouting into a vacuum until I wrote a tribute to my dog when he died and they all got in touch. And again, when recurring character one-can Sam finally showed an interest in something not from a brewery in Mangatainoka. So in a way, I have not just one wine friend but a whole lot of WineFriends. It's like a subscription service with a penpal.”

“WineFriend has opened a whole new world of wine for my husband & I who love to drink good wine but don't have sufficient knowledge (yet) or time to do the work finding new wines to try. We've really liked just about everything we've been sent to date, with some absolute gems along the way. And WF's customer service is 2nd to none. As excellent as the wines they deliver.”

“I really enjoy the variety of Wine Friend, I get to try different wines that I know have been specially chosen and they come with a helpful description of when and how to drink each one. It’s quite a treat to get the occasional European bottle, as well as supporting local growers from NZ.”

“We love our winefriend subscription and look forward so much to its delivery. Everything is perfect for us, from the amazing wines chosen esoecially for us to the ability to rate and reorder wines easily. Apart from drinking the wine, our favourite part is reading the fun and playful desciptions that come with each bottle. Would highly recommend. Karen and Maree”

“My partner and I like wine but were not very familiar with all the different types or flavour palettes available to us, so signed up hoping to learn something; and Wine friend has been absolutely amazing. We've learnt a lot about what we like and don't like in wine but also when we had a diet change in relation to a food allergy, the staff were very accommodating and helped us get the wines best suited for us. Highly recommend subscribing, and get in contact with the team if you're unsure of anything 😊”

“I love it when my WineFriend turns up, it’s my adult version of a kids lucky dip!! Never disappointed, always a delicious assortment, love looking at all the labels and then the big decision about which one to open first. Highly recommend trying it, not only is it fun but a great way to stock up the wine fridge 😊”

“WineFriend has been a brilliant find. It has introduced me to so many different wines. They have answered all of my questions quickly and been very helpful. I can honestly say that I have not had a bad wine from them and in fact, I have had severeal delicious ones. I would recommend this to anyone that likes expanding their wine knowledge and taste. There is a great selection of subscription types and amounts of wine that you can get. It has also been very easy to change my subscription if I have needed to. They also have nice quick selections that you can get to top up your wines for the month. In case you haven't figured it, I am a fan.”

“I love WineFriend! It's the friend we all need and want, right?! Who doesn't love a friend who is always available, sometimes brings the comfort of the unknowns while sometimes surprises you with something new?! The notes for each bottle of wine are hilarious to read, and easy to match with food. It is my happy moment when the box arrives every 2 months - yes, that is almost a bottle per week, and no, I do not have a problem just looking forward to my Wine-friend!”

“Thoughtfully chosen wines that suit my preferences and needs. It's always a treat to try new wines and revisit old favourites. My order manages to keep my small wine collection topped up and guarantees I have something interesting and top quality to offer my guests. A great service and an excellent option when looking for gifts, especially when you need to have them sent elsewhere in NZ.”

“I signed up to receive a mix of wines from NZ, Aus and the world. I think it’s fun to not know what you’ll get in each box. The vinos are absolutely delicious and credit to the team who are excellent at sourcing great wine.”
