“I had Wise Property Care around to check for dry rot, and to spray to kill some insect infestations.
To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to Wise Property Care coming into my house and knocking holes in walls to check for dry rot - the dry rot investigation was a requirement of the mortgage. However, the plan had always been to get someone in to do the spraying.
The guys from Wise Property Services were prompt and professional, and I had no qualms about leaving them to get on with the work.
The work itself was carried out very considerately - the guys went out of their way to try and minimise the impact of their investigations, even to the point of trying to access some lintels through the eaves rather that through the wall. Admittedly that was unsuccessful, and a hole in the wall duly followed, but at least they tried!
In terms of holes in walls, the guys did a really neat job, minimising the size of the holes where possible, and were very tidy in cleaning up after themselves.
Health and Safety-wise, they were good - tanks and electrics covered prior to spraying; after spraying, good signage was put in place, and the restrictions were explained well.
In truth, it was a relatively painless experience - if only all contractors could be like this!
I would certainly use them again.”

Wise Property Care surveyor was unhelpful when he had initially promised that my wall/roof would be replaced as before and was difficult to deal with when i complained about the substandard work carried out by Wise Property Care.”

“Good points:
The Wise staff who visited our property were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.
The actual wood-treatment work was carried-out quickly and without any mess, disruption, or problems.
Not so good points:
The wood-treatment operative arrived a full four hours earlier than had been arranged! (This wasn't his fault - there had been some sort of mix-up at the office and he'd been given the wrong time. He was most apologetic and was helpful and flexible regarding this, as he agreed to come back later on that day to do the work arranged.)
The invoices sent could have been a lot more simple and clear: we found them confusing as it was difficult to determine what all of the various charges were for, and what related to sums still due or sums / deposits already paid.
The original certificate and guarantee for the works completed were sent out with the wrong name on them: Gordon Anderson, rather than Colin Anderson! However, these were issued with the correct name after I'd raised this issue with your head-office.”
