“Wise Property Care came out quickly to assess the problem in response to my original call. On that visit, a realistic assessment of the extent of the problem and necessary works was made, and a firm price quoted - this was very comforting. A date was agreed for the work to commence. The workmen who did the actual removal of damp plaster and insertion of a damp proof membrane were cheerful, friendly, and efficient - and when they had gone, and I had difficulty shutting the door because of the changed shape of the wall, one of them came back (a considerable distance) to sort out the problem so I could lock up for the night, which I appreciated very much. They were here on the Thursday, the plasterer on the Friday, and the original two workmen on the Monday to replace skirtings and so on. Surfaces were well covered with plastic to reduce the inevitable dust and mess, and this was very efficient. I would recommend Wise Property Care wholeheartedly.”
“The survey was very professional and provided an instant estimate . After a delayed start on site the preparation and damp proof installation were carried out very promptly and cleanly by Grant but whoever was supposed to organise the plaster repairs forgot all about it. We expected the plasterer to arrive first thing on Monday morning but had eventually to ask Ross the surveyor on Tuesday morning to intervene. He phoned back to let us know the office would be in touch to say when the plasterer would arrive but a whole day has again passed without any such information.
It is quite unacceptable to leave us without our bedroom indefinitely.”

“Although there had been an initial consultation it did not pick up a bigger problem. This involved over twice the original cost and huge disruption. My personal belongings were covered in dust and I could barely live in the flat. Wall paper was ripped off the wall - without consultation. I had to get walls re-plastered and wall-papered at great cost and inconvenience.”

We have spoken with the surveyor who visited your property and he confirmed that the job needed was indeed bigger than the one detailed at the initial survey. Unfortunately this can sometimes be unavoidable when further damp problems, hidden from view, are discovered when work starts. “I had a very pleasant first meeting at the house with a very knowledgable man and all communication there after was satisfactory. The workmen left the house clean and tidy with a notice stating what had been done. My only slight issue was my first quotation was not quite the same as my final bill and it had not been explained correctly how the final bill was calculated. The aside, i was happy with the work done.”
