Ok overall, and taking into account it was nearing the end of October but the "super" touring pitch we booked was far from super, the all weather gravel was threadbare and muddy under foot, pitch not level and drainage not good when raining. What's more on arrival people were already on our allocated pitch and we had to make do on another pitch.

we have just came back from goldencoast holiday park at woolacombe and we left a night earlier because of how dissapointed with the way we was talked to by a member of staff there and the fact that we was rushed to get out of the club house every night. The lodge that we was staying in for the first 7 nights was dusty and the beds are very uncomfortable and for the last 3 nights we was in an apartment which was better than the lodge and cheaper. we also felt that some of the staff made an effort but some just couldnt be bothered and when we went to the same place 2 years ago for the halloween weekend we loved it so we cant understand why its changed so much over the past 2 years. also very dissapointed with the fact that you had to pay for wifi or had to be in certain places for free wifi as we think you have paid enough for your holiday we think it should be included in the price not pay a fiver or tenner for 24hrs and so on.

Booking ok, but disappointed that the booking page did not clearly identify the credit card fee added after booking.

""The caravans are on the small side. The photos they show of the caravans on the website are nothing like them. It is very misleading. We stayed in a gold 3 bed and the living area was really small with no additional dining area so nowhere to put the table other than in the living room area which made it difficult to all watch the telly, which was tiny btw. The site itself is great, very modern and comfortable and excellent views. The swimming pool is great fun for the kids.

Lots to see and do and not far from Woolacombe Beach. Bit disappointed with the standard of the gold lodge however Golden Coast had lots of activities. Good kids club.

As we have not been to Woolacombe Bay yet this is based on the booking process. There is a lot of information to take in about the various parks and we wanted to try a short break ahead of potentially booking our summer holiday at the park next year. Not knowing the sites makes it difficult to make a decision and unfortunately we intially booked at potentially the wrong site. After a further discussion with the family about the sites it was disappointing to find that a few hours after booking I was told that moving the booking from one site to another was not technically covered because I hadn't selected the holiday protection option and changing my booking would incur an increased fee and an admin charge. I would have understood if I was attempting to cancel my booking but I was just attempting to locate my family on the most appropriate site. In that respect the website could be clearer with more accommodation images and location information readily available before the booking process.

The site could be great - location and facilities are fabulous. The apartment was tired and needed a freshen up and deep clean - the most uncomfortable beds and pillows ever but basic cleanliness was there. No wifi or mobile service was uncomfortable due to not being contactable when leaving teenage son and elderly parents at home! Unable to book activities online prior to arrival due to website so tried booking on check in and activities fully booked up! Prices on site are good after reading previous reviews anticipating being expensive but pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend using the pottery painting to fill an afternoon with great assistance from the ladies that work there.
