“Wordery was recommended to me but has transpired to be a total disappointment. I ordered books for dispatch to France and French VAT at 5.5% was duly added to the order. When the books arrived they had not been VAT cleared and I had to pay 70% of the cost of the books to the French post office in VAT and handling charges. I complained to Wordery who have been trying to wriggle out of their responsibility for over a month. Wordery is part of the American conglomerate that owns Waterstones, Barnes & Noble etc. and they just don't care. Fortunately, they have competitors who do things right.”
