“Ordered a DVD which was from a vintage era and did not expect it to be the in stock still but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived very promptly and at a very low price. I will certainly go to W of B first for any future book or DVD purchases, before checking other sites if necessary.”

“The book I ordered from World of Books (Ian Fleming A Personal Memoir) arrived today, just a few days after ordering. It's condition is superb, almost new, and at £5.99 it is a great bargain. I cannot praise your company enough for the excellent and enlightened work that you do in looking after and rehoming so many precious books - very well done one and all.”

“Ordered two books, both were in poor condition. Postage to send back cost almost as much as the books cost so I threw them away. Complete waste of money and they cost about half the amount of a new book. However some people may have been happy with these books because they were both readable with no missing pages.”

“I was delighted to find 30-odd out of print books that are not available in any other format. It means once the print versions are gone, then so are the stories. Some of the books are already rare and I found World of Book's pricing was more than competitive, plus they had the largest range and multiple reprints of books I was looking for. I did make an error with the delivery address and contacted Customer Service, who were quick to respond and resolve my issue. I paid for fast delivery and the books arrived less than 48 hours later by Royal Mail. They were safely packaged and, although some are old and well read, the spines and pages are still intact and the books are still readable. Very happy! 😄”

“I received half my order, with an invoice that had an item on it that I did not receive, and received an item that was not on the invoice. Then I had an email that said the last item was shipped, which was the item not on the invoice. This second package never turned up.I am still missing 2 items. I have sent 3 emails requesting help over a few weeks and never received a reply. An awful experience which I have no intention of repeating.”

“Was extremely pleased with my first order . Ordered a hardback copy of a war book for my husband , came in immaculate condition and at a reasonable price, compared to that of waterstones, where he saw the book originally. My second order not so much , ordered three that's not my books (touchy feely ones) for my nephew. First book came in good condition , but still had baby food inside of it, so cleaned all that off with a wet wipe. The second book was same as the first. No big deal really but not exactly ideal. However the third book was quite tatty , despite stating good condition. Had writing on the front which you could clearly see, the bears hairs is all clumpy and matted. And overall the book looks distressed. I wouldn't have minded so much if in the description it had said Bad condition, but it didn't . This book was also priced the same as the other two. Its disappointing as these were gifts. I feel awful just thinking about handing the bear book over. I would definitely order again , however I would be wary about ordering maybe some of the baby and younger children's books as maybe they haven't been looked after so well. Surely the condition is inspected before they are given the grading of good condition etc?”

“Really poor. Bought 2 books from this company one was described as very good and the other good condition. Both were in very poor condition with the latter book actually showing pages literally about to fall out of the book. Have fedback to World of Books but no response yet. Would not buy from them again - AVOID.”

“l purchased a travel book on Prague and when l received my order, the book had the pages stuck together. I tried to separate the pages with a letter opener and some of the print was distorted. This was my first order and l am clearly appointed at the experience.”
