Ordered an apple tree after sending an initial question about how long it would be until it fruited, which I got a fast response to. Tree arrived ok, it was a bare-rooted plant in straw-packed bags. It was in good condition but I was a bit surprised as most of the things I've ordered from other places have been in pots so I don't have to deal with it right away. But I popped a bit of water into the bag around the roots until I had time to sort it out which seemed to work fine. It didn't have much in the way of leaves to start with but it settled in time to put out a couple of flowers last month and is covered in leaves now, so seems to be establishing well.

After a slight hiccup on delivery, (so 4 stars not 5!) the gooseberry bush I received was truly excellent; sturdy, healthy, a decent size too. I look forward to many years of juicy red goosegogs! I'll definitely recommend to friends, and use them again myself. Thanks!

I ordered a bare root plumcot tree for my son for his birthday, unfortunately when spring came he realised it was dead. A replacement was sent without any problems and he is very happy with the condition of his new tree.

Bareroot Standard Gooseberry arrived very well packaged and looking good tho hard to tell when it’s bareroot. Planted out immediately and am hoping for signs of life and a great result next spring. Good customer service and offers of further advice, care etc. All positive so far!

Ordered 3 varieties of fruit tree. CB made it clear delivery at best would be late October but more likely November. Trees arrived in the timeframe above. All well packed and in good condition. Planted now so hopefully will come good next year

Good quality stock, delivered smoothly and on time and well packaged. There was minor uncertainty over the trees delivered as they did not have the exact details of what I ordered, but overall I am happy and will use this company again.

Almond tree ordered earlier in the year for delivery in Autumn. It duly arrived well packaged in paper sacks and in straw. It was in good condition and a fair size for the price. Will look again for any specialist trees.

An expert in their field who were… An expert in their field who were slightly overwhelmed in Covid times which is entirely understandable so our blueberries and gooseberries arrived later than we had anticipated but then all the gardens have arrived later this year with lack of sunshine and loads of rain. Delivery packaging was ultimately prompt professional and fully protective of the plants showing significant care and expertise. We await fruit next year

Having ordered trees in November still not come March 1st. I learn from other suppliers that due to pandemic unprecedented demand. When I emailed to ask for honest update on delivery they immediately apologised and since they were still experiencing demand with aback log I had an immediate return of my money. Very good treatment and would therefore try them again. March 3rd 2021

Customer service 5* Price - good sized plants that you would expect for the price. Delivery 5* I've ordered 7 grape vines through Chris Bowers. The vines have arrived healthy and happy and grown on really well. Delivery to Northern Ireland was promote and date through DHL. The vines were ordered in separate orders and the Reason for a dropped star is that the leaves on two plants supposed to be the same don't match. That said I'm sure they will help me with identification of the varieties when I contact them.

Speedy delivery of 2 cordon trained apple trees; 'Limelight' (eating apple) and 'Reverend W Wilks' (cooker). The trees are usually very good quality from this company. Just a couple of times over the years, I received the wrong tree. Once I actually received a what turned out to be a fan trained plum, although I ordered a 'Kestrel;' peach fan trained. This was planted in my polytunnel over 18 months ago, I e-mailed them up on receiving the tree, as I suspected the leaves looked like a plum, not the long pointed leaves of a peach, which I recognise as I already grow peaches on my allotment. They replied to my e-mail and said 'it is a peach!' - sorry, but I am 110 per cent sure after 18 months it is NOT a peach tree, but a plum tree, 'the juvenile leaves can sometimes look like a plum I was told'. in the e-mail from the nursery. On another occasional, I ordered a 'Humboldt' nectarine fan trained tree and it now has fruits on it - not smooth, but with the furry texture of a peach - not a nectarine. A third mistake has been made when I ordered a 'Pineapple' nectarine tree, again fan trained, this time it is again a peach, because it has a furry skin on the fruit and is already has quite large peaches on it in Mid May inside my allotment greenhouse - so is infact an early variety of peach and NOT a 'Pineapple' nectarine. I have a nectarine tree, so I know how tho recognise the smooth skin of the fruit, compared to a peach. Are these genuine mistakes or do they just want to get rid of varities of fruit tree, where they have a surplus and have sold out of the variety I requested? 3 incorrect trees delievered, but do they realise that most people can't be bothered to complain after 18 months by which time it has only become apparent that they have been sent an incorrect type of fruit tree? The quality of the trees is generally good, but they are sending out incorrect trees for some reason; I have had the wrong type of tree sent on 3 occasions. I can't be bothered arguing with them/complaining or the hassle.time of having to dig up the trees I have now planted and had growing for 18 months.
