“I bought two bare root dwarf fruit trees online. They arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I have found the e-mail-based customer aftercare to be exceptional. “Having bought a greengage earlier this year from elsewhere only to find that it was a less than ideal specimen that has failed to survive, despite planting alongside my other fruit trees, I was apprehensive about my latest purchase - but Chris Bowers have supplied an excellent and healthy young gage that shames my earlier purchase. I'm extremely pleased - so, many thanks CB for selecting what I'd hope to receive from the other nursery.”

“Ordered 3 bare root fruit trees in the spring 2022. All arrived on time and well packaged. Despite the drought all are now 2-3 times their original size (to eventually reach orchard tree height). Excellent customer service and value for money.”

“Excellent packaging of my Blueberry bush which was in incredibly good shape - lots of berries on it on arrival. It is in a large pot and is growing so well and producing more berries this year. Definitely recommend this company for quality.”

“We ordered a Shropshire damson, which was delivered quickly and was well packaged against frost and other damage. It has thrived in our small orchard and is growing well in spite of the drought.”

“I wanted an apple tree for my allotment, but didn't know much about them. I found this company very informative which made choosing easy. The tree came well packaged and was easy to plant. It's thriving now and looks great. The customer care is excellent. They've even been in touch to see if I need any more advice which is excellent service.”

“I had a very positive experience researching and ordering apple trees from Chris Bowers. I wanted something a little different, old variety apple trees; one a cooker, the other an eater. They needed to be complimentary for pollination. Great advice on options. I didn't expect CB to have a call centre or to respond to my enquiry immediately, but they got back after a couple of days with reassuring advice which is fine. Young trees safely arrived last autumn and planted with good amount of well rotted alpaca manure. The following summer, both trees are doing well with good growth and plenty of foliage for young trees. Important to water well, particularly young trees trying to establish themselves. If they are what they purport to be, I will be very happy with first fruit in a couple of years time. Do remember to water your young trees regularly”

“Red Falstaff Apple Tree M27 I bought a Red Falstaff apple tree on M27 rootstock a few months ago. It had to be M27 as we are training it into a step-over tree. It’s doing really well so far, extremely healthy with lots of new green leaves. I mixed in lots of manure when I planted it, and I water it well every week or so. I would definitely buy from this company again. They sell a wide variety of fruit trees on a variety of different rootstocks, which is exactly what I want.”

“Super impressed with my recent experience with Chris Bower Ordered a walnut & apricot and they arrived the next morning. Excellent, friendly communication by email My trees are prime specimens and I was impressed by the superior packaging. V well protected by straw and strong paper/card envelopes. Well grown trees with a good root system”

“I've odered from this place several times, and unfortunately the most recent will be the last. The products are perfectly good, but whoever runs the customer service really enjoys taking their bad days out on customers. I tried to confirm what root stock some trees I had ordered were on, and they lied to me, so that I couldn't cancel the order before they arrived. When the wrong trees arrived, I waited 2 days for the rudest reply I think I've ever had direct from a company. Nothing about my emails was rude, but whoever replied must be having a very bad day, because they were essentially taunting me and calling me simple. Obviously I won't be buying from here again! I really wish I'd read reviews before buying, because clearly someone at this company needs to have customer service responsibilities taken away.”

“Money grabbing scam! Ordered trees for father's Christmas 2020. Like others, promised delivery time and time again. Poor dad dug holes on his allotment in preparation, then later had to fill in again when it was clear they wouldn't turn up in time. Finally got an email reply mid March from a Brenda saying DHL would be delivering that week. Yeah right! Dad dug his holes again, but trees never arrived, so he filled them in yet again. I did a scathing review on trust pilot. My seventh email was one threatening legal action, upon which I got a snotty reply saying "hope that made you feel better trying to make us look bad". I replied "why yes, I do feel better thanks. Shame I had to do it really. Read the reviews on Trust pilot. Either sort yourselves out or shut down". Got told a refund was on its way, which I did get, but I know others are still waiting. Don't give them a penny. They take your money and you get nothing in return. In my book, that's theft.”
