“Appalling company with appalling customer services - tried to sell an Apple Watch after receiving an online quote. After a lengthy delay having initially sent the watch in, I received an email saying the watch couldn't be bought as it was listed as a "demo device" by apple (despite having been bought directly from the Apple store and apple subsequently confirming there is no such marker on their devices as a demo device). Having challenged Handtec, they then changed the story and told me Apple had informed me the device had been marked as black listed as it was classed as stolen. I went directly into apple to have the serial number verified and they informed me that there is no such thing as device black listing and that my device was fine.
After again challenging Handtec, they informed me they wanted £30 to return the device, which I begrudgingly paid after reading the terms and conditions on their site in detail. They twice "forgot" to send me the item back after I paid the £30 - and after asking them for my £30 back was told they couldn't despite the inconvenience it had caused me.
Asked about the complaints process and left my details for a team leader to call me back (who never did).
Avoid at all costs.”
“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! these scammers offered me £60 pound for my i phone, once they received my phone they sent me an email asking for my apple id because the phone hadnt been reset. a remotely reset my phone through a link they sent me as im unwilling to give them my passwords and its illegal for them to ask me for them. they still wernt satisfied, i asked for my phone to be returned but they are trying to charge me £30 to do so, if i dont pay it they are keeping the phone on £0 value. this is a crime and i will be taking them to court”

“I’m Yet another fool to send my phone to these scammers. Offered me £15 for a 128gb 6s in good condition. Their ‘engineer’ made up some nonsense about faults that did not exist. I ended up with £60 as it wasn’t worth the hassle to me getting back, etc. Do not use these liars. I got an email saying they would only offer me £30!!! I refused, then they increase it to £45, again I refused and then offered me £57! I said No and asked them to send it back, with the original box I sent it in!
They replied as per T&C’s they don’t send the phone back with “accessories”!!! So basically they will keep my original box and use it when hey make a sale! DISGUSTING!!! Have always sold me phone in the past to envirofone and never had issues!!! Wouldn’t recommend Handtec!!! Go elsewhere!!! Still waiting in my phone to be returned to me, WITHOUT THE BOX!!!!”

“Same as the rest - quoted £100 for my iPhone 6s and offered £60 once they had it. Will try to then up their offer rather than returning, and still waiting for them to return my phone to me. What’s cheeky is they offer slightly above their competitors, and then don’t seem to Honor it. Avoid!”

I requested they send the device back to me as I wasn’t satisfied with the revised price. They got back to me the following day offering an increased amount of £200, I accepted and received the payment within less than 24hrs. “Pretty much the same as all the other reviews. They offered me £241 initially then tried to offer me £50 once they’d received my iPhone 7 Plus. Claimed there was all sorts wrong with it when I’d been using it fine beforehand with no issues whatsoever. I obviously declined the offer then they claimed they’d spoken to the supervisor and manager and tried to offer me two more stupid offers. I still declined as I can get more elsewhere. The company is a joke! Don’t waste your time sending to these fraudsters”
