Dreadful, they are a con. I had a phone from day one in a cover with screen protector. they gave a price. When it was sent to them they replied saying scratched case and front. Luckily I took a video of the phone from all angles which clearly showed there wasn't even the tiniest mark

Just the usual con job. They said £150 for my galaxy s8. Emailed to say the battery was worn and could only offer me £60! Lol! A worn battery on a 2 year old phone? Of course it's worn, it's 2 years old! A complete rip off! Don't go near them!

Agreed a price for my phone online. Sent it off in original box. Was in great condition. Had always been in case and screen protected. They then said condition wasn't right and offered me around half. Reading reviews this seems to be their standard process. Avoid!

My phone in perfect condition. They quoted £155 on the website but after sending in the phone they only wanted to pay me £55. They made up all kinds of lies why they could not give me the quoted price. After lots of emails there last offer was £100 wich i refused and they have send me back my phone, but not the box and accessories. Avoid this company!!

Sent my phone in working condition. Screen replaced by apple the week before. Handtec emailed me to advise their offer was 100pound less due to screen scratches. Clearly a complete con. I said no so they upped the offer but blamed battery life. I still said no and asked for phone back. They've then returned my phone with a heavily scratched screen. Total cowboy con job. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Familiar story they quote a price, half it when received as not in good condition, you agree lesser offer then they send you an email which states it was in Excellent condition. On selling side reviews are good and these are the reviews you see first.

Online I was offered £155 for Samsung s8 in perfect condition. Price was £25 better than O2 so I sent it. I did take photos first. 2days later received email saying screen had chips and 5 there was screen burn, offered me £90. I disputed the damage and asked for phone to be returned. 2days later another email stating examined by another person could offer £100. I still refused demanded phone be returned to me. 2days later phone returned. No damage as they described. Sent to O2 who examined phone and paid £130 without question. Avoid this company they will try it on to get phone for less. Emails available as proof..

I wish I'd read the reviews before I sent my phone to them. I posted a Huawei Mate 20 Lite 64GB which was only 6-7 months old. Since purchase it had been in a protective case and had a screen cover on. They offered me £76 online but later emailed me to say the phone had scratches and marks on it and would only pay £55 !! I did dispute it with them and they revised their offer to £65. I've sold older, scratched phones but in good working order to Mazuma in the past and have always received the price they quoted. I'll never use Handtec again, they are just con artists.

ZERO stars! I agreed a price for an almost new iPhone X of 430. We agreed it was locked to EE and so I sent it off. I then had a response to say as the phone was less than 6 months old they cold not unlock it and so it was only worth 130. I proved it was more than 6 months old and I showed them proof of purchase. They ignored that email altogether. So, I asked for it to be sent back and they said it would cost me 30 to have it sent back as I had misrepresented. They suggested I get it unlocked. I explained that I agreed to sell them a locked phone and that is what they got. They have now stopped replying to my emails. They still have my phone and have not agreed to send it back or give me any money. So, surely that means they have stolen my phone? At the very least, it is held to ransom and I have no way of getting it back. They keep telling me to unlock the phone. They are selling the exact phone with an EE lock on the phone for over 600. Liars, cheats, scammers.... appalling. I have asked for the details of the person in authority to deal with complaints- NOTHING!

I sold my iphone 7 to Handtec after getting a quote for £176 from a comparison website for, based on the fact that my phone was working and unlocked which it was (it was also immaculate, not that this was asked about at the time). As I saw the trustpilot rating was 5 stars I sent my phone in, but after this I came across the ratings from people that had actually sold their phones to Handtec, rather than bought from them, which all the good reviews seem to be. Everyone else seems to have the same issue I had; Handtec rope you in with a good quote, then when they receive the phone invent imaginary faults with the phone and reduce their offer. They told me that my phone had scratches and chips (completely not true, my phone was always in a case and screen protector) and they could only offer £110. I disputed this and asked for my phone to be sent back, at which point (after two chaser emails over a few days following no response) they upped the offer to £140. I accepted this offer as I was not confident, based on other people's experiences, that I would get my phone back or any money at all from Handtec. Thankfully I did at least receive the £140 the day after the offer, but I would never use Handtec again and I would encourage anyone else to avoid them when selling your phone as you definitely will not get the amount of money they promise.

CON ARTISTS. Clearly states on their website payment in 24hours. Complete lie. Still waiting for an offer, which (judging from every other review) I expect to be lower than 'Guaranteed' price quoted. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Again, scamming bastards. Offered highest price online then invented faults and low-balled me to 50% of original offer. When I declined the revised offer and demanded that they return my phone, I received a second, slightly higher offer. Which I have declined and now no reply...

Offered £55 for phone and sent it to them. Handtec then changed my offer to £15. Asked for phone to be returned and it took several emails and 2 weeks to get it back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. SCAMMERS!!!

Offered £130 for my Google pixel 2 however once I sent it, they offered me £40 claiming it had image burn and scratches when it was in perfect condition. I said no and they said their final offer was £50 as they'd have to replace parts to sell it. Absolute con artists and liars. Avoid at all costs.
