“Do not sell your phone to these chancers. Declared my phone as faulty and changed the offer as soon as they received it. After complaining twice and them uppiong their offer twice I do not want to do business with them. Read many other peoples similar experiences on trustpilot. The owner Azer MAHMOOD, look him up on companies house and just see how many companies he has started /dissolved over the past 8 years. Avoid!”

“Avoid - Warranty refused on a known fault using a cosmetic excuse I purchased a refurbished folding phone from Handtec, and unfortunately, it developed a known manufacturer defect ('ghost touch') within the first month of ownership. I sent it back for a warranty repair—having to pay for the return postage myself. Handtec inspected the device and completely rejected my warranty claim. They pointed to a small cosmetic dent on the outer frame, claiming I must have dropped it and that this caused the internal screen failure. Because this was sold as a refurbished device, cosmetic wear is to be expected, but they are using this minor mark as a convenient loophole to avoid their legal obligations. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a fault occurring within the first 30 days is presumed to have been there at the time of delivery, but Handtec flat-out refused a refund. To make matters worse, they then tried to charge me courier fees just to return the faulty phone to me. I am now being forced to bypass their customer service entirely and escalate this as a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider to get my money back. If you are buying a refurbished phone, be warned: their warranty essentially means nothing if they can find even the slightest cosmetic blemish to blame a hardware failure on. Buyer beware.”

“I bought a google pixel eight pro from Handtech in march this year. They described the phone in their original advert as being certified as 'good condition'. When it arrived, it had some light scratching to the top side of the frame but as it was a second hand refurbished phone I did not expect it to be in pristine condition, so did not have a problem with this. However By august, the screen had gone black and Stopped  working. I had not dropped the phone or damaged it in any way. Handtech sell their phones with an apparent one-year guarantee. However, when I returned the phone for repair, replacement or refund Handtech refused to honour their guarantee. The existing damage, which they had originally described as 'good condition' when they were trying to sell the phone, they now described as 'Severely Damaged (User-Inflicted Impact & Frame Distortion)' - a complete fabrication designed to get them off the hook for repairs.  They stated that they held detailed photos of the phone prior to my original purchase which they apparently compared to the condition of the phone on return.  However they refused to supply these - obviously because they show that the condition of the phone is identical. Beware of this company- their apparent guarantees are worthless, they will do anything to avoid honouring them. If you buy anything from them which subsequently develops a fault,  you will be on your own, don't expect any recompense. My advice is to avoid this dishonest and disreputable company.”

“AVOID THIS COMPANY Bought an iPhone 17 from Handtec and really wish I didn’t. Spent £600+ due to wanting one in their so called ‘pristine’ condition. It arrived with one of the volume buttons not working. The only solution offered by them was for me to return it so they could get it repaired which meant I would be phoneless for a good week or two. To add insult to injury I would also have to organise my own returns courier given the value. Never again…”

“I would be very cautious about buying from this company. I received a phone that would not turn on properly and reported the fault on the same day it was delivered. I followed every instruction they gave me, including providing a video of the fault and returning the device promptly. Despite their own inspection confirming that the phone would not boot, they refused to refund me, alleging that I had opened or tampered with the device. I categorically deny this allegation. Instead of receiving a refund for a faulty item, I have been left having to dispute the transaction through my bank and make a formal complaint.”

“Received awful service. Only used them over others as promised free next day guaranteed before 1pm delivery. Ordered on Sunday. Did not receive until Wednesday afternoon. Kid was therefore without phone for 3 days and could not be tracked for 3 days putting him at risk. Complained and told as an apology for the error the shipping would be compensated. A week later still not done and I am the one doing all the chasing. No longer trust the company due to being shady and not honouring putting right their mistakes.”

“I will NEVER buy from this company again!! Extremely poor customer service - they don’t reply to emails and don’t answer the phone. Been trying to communicate with them for months and they have just totally ignored all my emails. They didn’t stand over their 1 Year warranty when my phone stopped working after just a few months. Horrendous company to deal with. NEVER AGAIN!!”

“Absolute scammers and if this review stops one more person being ripped off by them I will be very happy. I sent my pretty much pristine iPhone 12 Pro Max (kept in a case from new) to them after being offered £246 via MoneySupermarket and they came back with an 'engineers' report claiming it had 'unremovable' marks to front and rear and sides (there were NO marks) promptly offering me £100 and the email then goes on to say that if you do not make contact within 14 days 'they take this as your acceptance that they can recycle your phone!!! As this is an ongoing situation I will update with a resolution once that is achieved but PLEASE think twice before sending your tech goods to these people whom unlike other company's advertise that they 'GUARANTEE' your price - well you can see how well that works... See the photos of the badly damaged phone I sent them....”

“Absolutely diabolical. Sent my phone to their recycle your phone service, as they quoted £345. When they received it they sent me back pictures of damage that quite clearly was not present when I sent the phone to them. After several very direct emails back and forth they agreed to up their offer. They are either damaging cheap to replace parts on purpose to increase their profit, or are just plain careless and trying to pass that on as the customer's issue. That said, they paid quickly once a price was agreed. I would suggest you avoid them like the plague. And if you want to chance your luck, take high quality photos of your device from every conceivable angle before you send it to them. Include their returns label in several or all of the photos as well as photos of how you packaged it. Be prepared to challenge their new offer. Or better yet, just go elsewhere.”

“I bought and paid for a phone (and next day delivery) that was supposed to be in excellent condition, but the phone that arrived has scratches around the whole parameter of the phone and around the camera lenses - not close to being in excellent condition. I was offered £20 then £25 compensation. On refusing this I have been told that the return insurance is only to the value of £150 (the phone value at £380), and that I would need to pay for cover beyond that to return it despite being sent a phone not in the condition I ordered or payed for. I am therefore being required to pay for the delivery and return for a phone that I have been mis-sold. Unfortunately I am being forced to go through trading standards to get this resolved.”

“Initial quote £235 Revised quote £80 Revised quote £101 Revised quote £115 Revised quote £126.70 I went back and forth with this company for a week telling them to return my phone after their ridiculous offer. They kept coming back with stupid offers. Got my phone back today and to no surprise there is a DEEP scratch in the screen. there is absolutely no way I sent the phone like this, you can literally feel it with your finger nail. Absolutely disgusting tactics from this company because I refused there offers. I can’t do much now really other than make sure others don’t fall victim to an experience like mine. AVOID!”

“WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Sent my phone which they valued at £250 in prepaid box, then kept receiving messages aking if I was going to send it. After many emails turns out they received it only the box was empty and blamed it on royal mail. Five weeks later still waiting for compensation which is only £150. WHAT EVER YOU DO , DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”

“Scratched my screen after I wouldn't budge from the quoted price. Was in pristine condition with the stickers on the side and screen immaculate. They offered less than half the price and then kept increasing the offer but no where near the quoted price. Dodgy please avoid this company.”

“Absolute scammers! Sent my Google Pixel 9 to them after they quoted me £490. Phone was only a few months old and was in mint condition. When they received the phone the supposed engineer identified a noticeable scratch to the screen and marks to the casing. They proceeded to offer me £240 for the phone. I disputed this damage, but they continued to insist and upped the offer to £340, still way off their initial quote. They refused to offer more or admit there was no damage. I swiftly declined this offer and requested the phone be retuned to me. I received the phone back today and thoroughly checked it over. Absolutely no damage whatsoever! Do not use these guys. They clearly lie about the condition to try and push people into taking a lower figure. Don't let these guys take advantage of you.”

“Honestly one of the worst companies I've had to deal with. I had pixel 8 pro in very good condition, online I was offered £280, they got my phone, they said my phone was all scratched on the front, back and on the camera, 100% lies. They ordered me £140, it took me almost a week for them to give my phone back. They went back and forth giving me daft prices. They offered me £140, £180, £201 and then £225. I received my phone back on a Saturday and the same day I got the money I wanted for it. Please don't waste your time with this company.”

“Avoid.... I had a Google Pixel 6a which they valued at £86. Upon receipt they told me it had an array of damage and was in poor condition. They offered me £40. This was certainly not true - it had no scratches or dents. I asked them to return it to me 4 times but they put the money into my account anyway. Complaining again they offered me another £12. I said I wanted it back. They have not yet responded....”

“## AVOID AVOID AVOID ## Worst service I've ever encounter. Bought a phone and it came not working. Told to send it back and apparently it works fine. Asked for a refund and got ignored. They've had my money 2 weeks and I'm still without a phone. Customer service dont care at all, and only reply to parts of the emails I sent. Emailed Azer Mahmood, the CEO, and still waiting for a reply. They have £250 of my money and still can't be bothered to send me a phone that actually works ## AVOID AVOID AVOID ##”
