Home bargains is okay for a lot of things, but some items are cheaper elsewhere. The main problem with them is that you purchase goods you like and on returning, the goods you want are not there. Sometimes it is weeks before the item you want is back on the shelf. I approached the manager about this and I was told that he has no control over what is delivered. I find this nuts. What is the point in having a manager if he cannot take control over his stock ? His job should be to take note of what is running low and he orders it accordingly. One crazy way to work if you ask me. It can be frustrating shopping here

After shopping in this store two weeks ago , I said good morning to nine staff, not one repplied! I am currenty using a crutch after a broken leg so when i went to get some wood a kind assistant helped and even took it to the car., her name was Vicky. This is a great store and good prices, but the staff let it down. It costs nothing for positive regard. I know staff are busy but having formerly worked in a large store many years ago its normal and expected and makes customers feel valued and want to return .....

Good afternoon. I go to you're stores almost every week I love it.except for a few over charges I had on 3 of my bills at different times.havig been today Dec 18th 2021 I spent almost 50 pounds which is the normal thing for me .only when I got home and checked my receipt to find I has been charged for 1 extra packet of tbags. Iam virtually housebound so going back to store us not an option on the same day I rely on my carer to take me.very disappointed I have to say yet again charged twice for something .

I usually shop at your Martlesham store, I love the products in homebargains and the staff there are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile... however I have recently moved house and I've started going to your suffolk retail park store in Ipswich, and I am shocked by how different the 2 stores are... the products and the prices are all that is the same..... I don't know where to begin,, The management staff I've met are the rudest I've ever encountered especially a coloured chap, a woman with long hair and glasses, a boy that looks like he's just left school, and someone I've heard them call Lou, they are more interested in what they are doing filling shelves etc than providing customer service, I am always served by a young girl with brightly coloured hair she can not be more friendly she always helps me pack my shopping she goes above and beyond with her customer service, she calls and calls for other staff to open the unmanned tills but no one comes, I also appreciate her cleanliness she is always cleaning her till and the next customer bars... I just wish other members of staff in this store were as polite and helpful as her ... martlesham 10 suffolk retail 1

I'm sorry to say that during our last shopping experience in Home Bargin we notice a lot of customers were allowed in the store with out face masks in the Wolverhampton store on Stafford street. Due to Covid and the very high rate of infections in Wolverhampton we are all asked to follow the guideline as set out by health officials. Other stores in the city centre insist the wearing of face masks before being allowed in the store and if there is no compliance then entry is not allowed to protect fellow shoppers some of which could be deemed vulnerable and at risk. Surely we are all responsible for the protection of one another, especially in these critical times. Wolverhampton is itself among the highest levels of infection and therefore everyone and each establishment should promote every measure to protect each other locally and within our tight communities. There were too many in that store who don't recognise the dangers of ignorance. We thought this should be brought to your attention especially when more are dying of covid related illnesses in our area. To say that store supervision can not insist on wearing face mask does not promote a safe shopping experience for many of your customers. Could you please reply to my review as I would like to know your thoughts on this matter. Kind regards D. Dawes

After visiting today your Huddersfield branch in Waterloo. I was very disappointed that at least 2 staff stocking shelfs were not wearing masks. The masks wearing rule is there to protect both customers and your staff. Does the rule not apply to your staff???

Unfortunately you get what you pay for and on this occasion i was left emmbarassed. The customer service people received my pics and seemed to think this was perfectly normal for the flowers to be wilting when they arrive. I cant be bothered to pursue it anymore but rest assured i wont be using again . You would get more by grabbing a £5 bunch from the supermarket.

Good prices but items that are sold regularly not kept in stock. I used to shop there to buy the same items on a regular basis but always 'hit and miss' as to whether the items are in stock. Will be trying to shop elsewhere for these items in the future.
