“The store couldn’t print a receipt for me today and it was such a palava to get a manager to try get a receipt for a card payment I’d made ? They tried refunding but the assistant obviously had no clue what he was doing took 10 mins to end up with a cash receipt ? I didn’t pay cash ? Emailed support but nothing no reply nothing very very poor customer service ? And why can’t they reprint a receipt madness ! And very frustrating as the guy serving me looked at me like I was odd wanting a receipt for business really disappointed guys come on wake up !!”

“Matthew a Sales assistant is the most unhelpful, rude and arrogant person I’ve ever come across. I went in for a few things for my garden and left feeling very upset. I was pointed and laughed at when I could’nt put something in my trolley, I asked for help and he sniggered at me and said he was busy. He made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not making another visit to this store.”

“My Partner returned home yesterday in floods of tears after a visit to the Home Bargains in Llandudno. She was treated like a thief for using a shopping bag, whilst pushing our newborn around in a Doona. The pop up pram does not have a basket underneath. For two months she has used a shopping bag avoid pushing any heavy weight, post c-section. If life isn't hard enough post surgery, baby blues, new baby in tow and being sleep deprived. A bonnie women with bright pink hair, tattoos and various piercings decided to put my wife down even further. Telling her off at the till, degrading in front of other customers and taking pride in doing it. Shame on Home bargains for employing such a degrading creature. No one deserves to be bullied at the till.”

“My 12 year old just came home because your staff was very rude and arrogant to her. She asked for help finding a product. She asked three times, three different service people and they were there every time. he directed her elsewhere and seeing that my daughter couldn't find the products, two staff members laughed at my daughter. I am shocked by the level of intellectual development of your employees. Company should be ashamed of the behavior of your employees.”

“For the past few weeks there has been NO jelly button sweets in your store,week after week i come to look for these sweets and theres been non very dissapointing and i dont know who does your ordering but theyre not doing a good job,all the way on the bus week after week to see you have non.incase you dont know theyre round aniseed flavour pink or blue little hundreds & thousands sprinkles i.e.you find them in liquorice Allsorts.”

“Saturday, 10th May. Time, around Five - Half Five. I went to The Crosshands Store, got a small trolley and had A Home Bargains Carrier Bag. I asked a member of Staff for a Purchase I usually make, which was Chesters, Quantity: 24 Dog Food Tins. Which I couldn't find, it looked like it was sold out. I asked a member of Staff for help in finding the Product. The member of staff in particular asked myself: Have You Got Anything To Go Through The Till. As good as accusing me of Shop Lifting. I emptied my Carrier Bag on the Check Out Belt. As Proof. I Demanded A Manager, She Replied: I Am A Manager. I said I would be Reporting Her To Head Office. Another member of female staff was there as witness, ie heard most of the conversation. I then left the store, but later went back in and asked for her name, another member of staff said her name was Layla and wrote it down for me, he asked, can he do anything for me, and he said he would have a word with her. I am appalled and disgusted to be treated in this manner. You only have to look at the CCTV, and this will prove I never picked anything up. Also it was myself who asked her for help in the purchase I wished to make. I await your comments on this matter as a matter of urgency, before I take the matter to the consumers for further advice. As I have been a customer at that particular store, since it opened in Crosshands and spends A significant amount of Money There.”

“Disappointed with Quality – Not Recommended I purchased two full sets of Home Collections towels in the Stone colour, expecting them to be a good investment for my home. However, after less than a year of moderate use, they have not held up well at all. Despite always washing them on environmentally friendly programs, the quality has deteriorated far too quickly, creating the holes. I was hoping for a long-lasting, durable product, but these towels have been a letdown. If you’re looking for something that will stand the test of time, I’d strongly suggest paying a little more for a reputable brand with better longevity. Not recommended!”

“Visited Home Bargains in Seaforth and litherland , Merseyside today and witnessed the staff member on Till 1 being verbally abused by a female customer. Did he get support from other staff, NO he didn't, not impressed by staff at this home bargains.”

“I was absolutely disgusted visiting the Southport Home Bargains store on a trip with my family for the fireworks event. We popped in on Saturday 21st September to what I can only describe as war. We were walking past these doors to the back of the store, 2 guys in redish coloured shirts shouting at each other. My kids were upset and one quickly shut the doors and the shouting continued and could still be heard I can only take it they were managers, to be honest being in management myself it was very unprofessional. For one thing, any discussions or in this case shouting match should take place in offices, I take it this store must not have one. I detected bullying by one of the managers and I strongly recommend that this manager be removed from the store as unfit to manage. All the staff are very helpful, but again you could see they were all stressed out. I’m not one to write these type of things usually, but I can only take that if a manager with bullying behaviour is doing it to a colleague, then he is probably doing it to all staff too I strongly advise this manager is pulled in for retraining or even removal for the sake of the staff well being I don’t not wish my email shared with the company, but you can send them my review to look after the staff there”

“Don’t shop at Hayle store or risk £100 parking fine. 78 year old couple one has Alzheimer’s fined £100 for 17 minutes over time after spending £123 in the store. They claim that it’s not their fault as they don’t run the parking but they do have an obligation to support their customers and if they don’t then their customers will not support them. They also do choose to use Parkingeye to manage the parking.”
