Over charged for 2 items on the same transaction! Then expect me to return to store for a refund when I live 40 minutes away!

Home bargains were advertising online a discontinued cat food that my cat loves. Took 10 days for them to send me the wrong food and a bit of chasing. They do not respond to social media, there is no telephone number around and hard to track an email address. Now am stuck with 5 boxes and over £30 worth of cat food my cat will not eat. An absolute joke from start to.. well, not finished until I figure a way to get a refund. Never again, avoid this company, tosh.

I was Irvine store. And feel that some management are not very efficient in there job as they treat as some staff irresponsibly. Where staff do not need to be treated like this. Senior management should be ashamed.jcm

Selling faulty goods and refusing to replace. Bought a set of bedding in store. After getting washing and going to put on the bed it became apparent that the item was faulty as there were no holes for the buttons to do the duvet cover up at the bottom. I contacted online customer support (with my receipt, and a video of the issue) to ask about maybe getting a replacement sent to me but they refused as it was an “in store” purchase so would have to go back there. I do not currently live particularly close to a store and have recently just come out of hospital so not in much of a condition to be leaving the house. I suggested them sending a courier collection from my address but they refused. I have now paid full price for a duvet cover that is faulty/ unusable that they will not do anything about helping sort for me. This seems ridiculous to me as it shouldn’t matter where you are if the item is faulty, you could have taken it to another country and it wouldn’t change the fact that it’s a manufacturer error even if you were abroad and unable to return to a store. Complete con.

I parked at Home Bargains Whitehaven and my wife who has had a mini stroke and cancer last year and therefore a bit slow did a lot of Chrstmas shopping but took a long time spending £142.00. Nearly two weeks later on 06-12-2022 I got an £85 parking fine notice. I guess if you shop too long at Home Bargains or spend too much you get fined. What a gem of a company.

THE AWFUL MUSIC IS FAR TOO LOUD. IT IS SO ANNOYING THAT IT MAKES ME ANGRY. THIS SORT OF AUDIO EXCREMENT SHOULD BE USED AS BACKGROUND NOISE ONLY. WHO EVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALLOWING THIS SOULLESS GARBAGE TO BE PLAYED OVER AND OVER SHOULD BE FORCED TO LISTEN TO IT EVERY HOUR OF THE DAY, LIKE THE POOR WORKFORCE HAVE TOO. IT IS TORTURE, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. DISGUSTING.

I bought some straw for a baby rabbit. I was keeping her in the house until her injections kicked in and was using puppy pads under her sawdust. Put some straw in on the night. Within a day the whole cage was crawling with these. Had to take the rabbit to the vet and get her unstraw mited. We had to throw away her toys that could have got mited and had to pay for the carpets to be cleaned. The vet put the bugs under the microscope and they were straw mites. Must have cost me £100 to pay for vet, treatment, new toys and carpet. And did home bargains pay me back? Did they heck. They offered me an instore credit of £30. So that would actually cost them £10 after profit maybe!

Customer service is a disgace and a joke, i went into Ashington store for angel perfume foe my wives 70th birthday and our golden wedding, as the store had non on display i asked a member of staff who said it was out of stock. I then sent a email to customer services who replied to say it could not yell me when stock will be coming into store and told me to check the store locator for the phone number for the store after i had already told then Ashington store is not on the store locator. After i found out the store telephone number, no one answered and says leave a message witch i did but no call back.

I went to the plattbridge Wigan store again & the manage are still allowing a homeless guy standing near the door smoking cannabis & drinking cider. His smoke goes all around the store & the staff say nothing to him. I am going to shop somewhere else now i spent a lot of money in there.

Home bargins it the worse place to shop. No understanding regarding people with invisible disabilities. The staff have no customer service skills & most of all the healthy & safety standards are appalling . Oldham centre store

The store in Platt Bridge Wigan, is a disgrace. They allow homeless people to beg outside the store & the beggers drink beer & smoke weed & the stench of the weed being smoke is all around the store inside.

I am FUMING! I placed an order of cat litter 1 case supposed to have 8 bags. I ordered 2 cases. Only 2 bags been delivered. I called customer services and been told only one person worked that day and no one picked up the phone in refund department. Eventually i got email response and a refund for missing items. Although they sent me wrong amount and i had to calculate for them as there was some money missing from the refund. I ordered AGAIN, as I still need the remaining litter (3 cats at moms home). I paid £10 for Hermes (Every) delivery. They left the heavy boxes in communal area downstairs, for my elder mother to bring those boxes up herself. Although the note in delivery was clear ''please leave outside the flat doors''. I called home bargains customer services, and the women on the phone only said sorry, but there is nothing she can do about it. At this point no refund offered for delivery (and when i asked for that she said she cant offer that), no compassion or emotion towards the situation. She could care less. I will be deleting my account with them for good and will never buy anything from them, because the customer service could care less about it. Update: my elderly mother had to additionally PAY a random guy to bring it upstairs for her.

Website misleading I was lead to believe I could get multipack offer of 24 cans of cat food for £4.58 I ordered 2 packs maximum allowed when received I only got 1 pack of 24. I was told had ordered it wrong but as you couldn't order anything else that is not true.

Home bargains oldham store is the worst place too shop. I am autistic & I have a bladder condition. I coped with it being busy but by the time I got to the tile I was struggling. When I got too the que the male member of staff what was working the till was going very slow. When it came too my turn at the checkout I asked if he could go a bit quicker. I was met with a very sarcastic attitude from him & very rude. This left me feeling very high rated. This is not the first negative experience I have had with staff members. None of the staff are approachable or friendly & don't have a clue about invisible disabilities. Definitely not a store that is autistic friendly. This needs too be sorted out because it is discrimination
