I have written a very long and detailed review about this dispicable company. It appears it has not been printed, however I have had it printed on trust pilot, so if you can be bothered to go to TP you will be able to read what kind of company this is. It has no duty of care for its customers. The CEO can't be bothered to reply to your letters, perhaps he is too busy on his yacht to bother about us customers. The customer service is the biggest joke. How they call themselves customer service, they do anything but serve their genuin loyal customers. I or my friends and family will never shop in there again!!!

If I could give a minus star I would, unfortunately I am forced to put one star. This company is despicable, they don't care one bit about their customers. A company is only as good as it is when something goes wrong. This company laughs at its customers and calls them liers. The customer service is beyond bad. My husband got covered in bleach due to a top not being on properly. When we got home he placed the shopping bag on my table. When we realised what had happened. We took the bag with the bleach back to the shop and my husband had his bleached stained top on. We explained what had happened, the manager even acknowledged the bleach had run. But low and behold customer service said, on their investigation (what a joke) that the bottle was not damaged, we never said it was, the problem was the top wasn't on properly. So according to customer service my husband had dropped bleach down himself and damaged my farmhouse table. When we got nowhere with their so called customer service we wrote directly to Tom Morris CEO, well no wonder this so called customer service is so bad, he couldn't care less about his loyal customers either as he couldn't be bothered to reply to our letter outlining what had happened. Not only that about two years ago, my daughter was in the same store and my baby granddaughter was suffering with an ear infection, so was crying in the store as my daughter rushed round to get some medicine and one of the employees said to another "that's a good advert for condoms",and they both laughed. The manager didn't want to know, so we wrote to HB to say this was unacceptable and they just replayed more or less saying your word against ours. How disgusting that's how they treat their customers. Well they have lost hundreds of pounds from my family and I. I am also going to let everyone know what kind of company this is. They take your money but treat you with comtempt. I would urge anyone to keep away from this store, can you imagine being treated like that in any of the supermarkets? disgusting HB !! You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Bought a helium balloon for Mother's Day and it started to go down as soon as I got it home, it was a 31" one. Took it back and a manager said he couldn't do anything about it! How rude! This manager obviously has no customer skills. As the shop assistant wanted to refill it with helium. He said no! I shop in HB five days a week. I will certainly be complaining to head office.

Your company only want to see positive reviews, the plattbridge store allow the homeless to congregate outside the store begging & causing a nuisance to its customers.

awful staff. attention seekers are all the servants there. I came to pay to N1. at 11 am, no queues, no any other people only me. and the attention seeker servant, a man, instead of taking money from the customer ran away to the other servant and started talking about their life instead of the professional business. I tried to speak to a manager but it didn't come, I wasted my time and this awful shop didn't have any money.they have to replace the servants or this shop will be closed.

It's the ones at Denbigh store in the red shirts grey jackets really think they are something special I've seen them belittle other staff who are clearly BENITH them. The trouble is Home Bargains is famous for letting kids play at being grown ups just look at the management... And nothing will ever improve as long as the company values the dollar rather than the mental welfare of there staff.. Boycott all HB stores that will make the big boys sit up and listen...

The management team continously treat the staff in what can only be described as bullying tactics. Unfortunately on every single occasion I have been to one of their stores I've witnessed this from what can only be described as children playing house wearing grey jackets. The management team never lead by example. I even saw a manager walking away from a staff member telling them that a shelf they were by needed cleaning as it was filthy. Why didn't the manager just do it there and then? Also they expect staff to empty a 6ft high cage to be emptied and on the shelf within 45mins and if it's not they're given a verbal warning

I love shopping in Home bargains and havent complained on things before. I visited a different store than my usual. In the others i have visited te queuing is all at each till. But today i visited the boucher store to be told after standing at the end of a till behind another person for that person to be called forward and then i was told abruptly there is only one queue, i hav never felt so embarrassed as i now had to go to the back of a queue infront of everyone as if i were back in school. To then be served by the shop cashier who had just spoke abruptly to me. I understand they have a stressful job with dealing with people. So i feel there needs to be signage in each of your stores to let people know as each Home bargains store has different rules to queuing and is very confusing. Hopefully no one else has had to face this, as i myself have been in queues where people walk out of an aisle to a till and been serviced. Think i will think again before coming into this store.

It’s mandate by law to wear a face covering. It was full of people without any type of face covering, including 3 high school teenagers making shopping there very very uncomfortable. There is absolutely no effort on behalf of the staff to try and encourage face coverings. Such a shame because it’s a great shop apart from that!

As a whole Homebargains is the worst place to work all team leaders and management are vile! They would make fun and slate all other members of staff over the headsets! If your not in the click then they make your life a misery! Steer clear! I have reported it to head office but I looks like it’s still going on there!

Gillian at your bootle branch store shouldn’t be working with the public, accusing customers of stealing products which the store do NOT sell based on assumption of the way the customer looked! Disgusting service from management when trying to complain who called security to remove assist rather than take the complaint… refused to give gillians name even tho it was on customer receipt! Degrading unprofessional judgemental staff who actually stated they believed all customers who shop at the bootle stores are in fact shoplifters and steal therefore they felt justified to acuse and single out a customer based on appearance!

I emailed CS about a specific product I have often purchased there before, I visit 2 locations. The staff offered no help whatsoever. CS told me they are unable to offer any investigation or answer to my query...NONE AT ALL. Pathetic waste of my time. The in-store experience is excellent, this shoddy fob off is not.

I bought a pair of own brand rubber gloves and shortly after started with a horrible burning, itching rash on my hands and wrists. At first I thought it was hand sanitiser so I discontinued use but rash only got worse. I was prescribed hydrocortisone which didn't help so went to a pharmacist who suggested eurax and asked if I wore rubber gloves. I went home and put the gloves on and the rash was in the exact same place. I went to the store to ask their advice and they told me to email via the contact us on home bargain website, which I did. I explained that I'd had an allergic reaction to your gloves and this was a first for me as I've always used rubber gloves. I was asked to send pics and the details of the gloves which I did. Then I was told I'd had an allergic reaction in the reply and that they hoped it didn't last too long. I'd already told them this info myself and this issue had not been fully investigated because my hands have been so painful for 4 weeks now. But I was ignored so I rang up and was shocked at the way I was spoken to. The employee spoke over me, told me there was nothing that would be investigated and told me to write in but they wouldn't change their mind or do anything about it. This wasn't just a normal rash, it was as if my hands were on fire and was excruciatingly painful and all from home bargains own brand rubber gloves. I have used rubber gloves for over 35 years and this was a first for me so obviously something wrong with this brand or pair, but home bargains don't give a damn and then speak to you like you're a fool. I'm disgusted with their customer service and their complete disregard towards what was a really important matter that needs investigating properly.

Dear Home Bargains, I was in Perth store for the the first time in Months due to being immune suppressed after a transplant. Yes I have had 2 covid injections but the professionals are unable to tell me if I have any protection. I was a little concerned to see 3 or 4 staff filling shelves with no face masks the till operators 3 today are behind screens also no face masks that I can accept as they were behind screens. But surely staff on the shop floor must like the public must comply to Scottish government rules as is also being reinforced by a message on the in store music system. The above does not fill me with confidence to shop with you as this is not giving a good example to the general public. Perhaps its just Perth Store Manager? Please can you look into this as Occasionally I would like to be able to shop with a degree of safety. I know you can't enforce the public to wear masks but to be fair it was only young kids I saw without masks today. Which is good. But a really poor example by staff.

I'd like to know why a certain member of staff in Home Bargains Bidston saw fit to mock and humiliate a disabled customer by audibly cracking jokes about her to other staff members on Friday 27/08/21. Apart from being utterly reprehensible, it's also discrimination. These kind of people should NOT be allowed to deal with the public.

Absolutely shocking quality of furniture and service. Of all the delivery services home bargins cpuld use they decided to use Hermes, the worst in the UK for delivering items damaged. 2 of the 3 items I ordered were damaged on delivery, and the third item was left outside in the rain as they all didn't arrive at the same time of day. Will be returning for a full refund.
