I wish I could give them 0 stars. Order products 2 months ago and they keep pushing back the shipping date. They are filling my emails with promotional offers and can't get me my original order. Very poor. How are they the first sight to pop up on Google?

This company is dishonest and disrespectful. I ordered 7 red dot sights, at just a slightly better deal than I could get elsewhere. I expected about a week's time for delivery. One week and a weekend later, no delivery, no contact from Optics Planet. I called them. They cancelled my order, no notification. I asked why and I got a lot of bullcrap runaround, ie, an extension that was tied to nobody, a number that would hang up on me. I checked the website again and the same item had been raised in price by 30 dollars. The only thing I can figure is that these guys may have thought they were selling the item too cheaply so they cancelled the order and raised the price instead of hing a previously made commitment. THIS COMPANY SUCKS!

Optics Planet SUCKS! They cancelled an order I placed 3 days ago for a muzzle brake, without contacting me - NO NOTICE, NO EXPLANATION. I looked at their website and they are showing this item "in stock." I would not reorder from them because they DO NOT DESERVE MY BUSINESS! WHO CONDUCTS THEIR BUSINESS THIS WAY? BUYERS BEWARE, ALL OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS CAN'T BE WRONG! Save yourself time and trouble, buy elsewhere. They really are that badddd!

I request and paid for next day delivery. After the 2nd day I called them and asked where it was... Their response was 'We'll ship it next day when we finally ship it which could be up to a week'. ???? WTF? Then they said it was out of stock and they'd get it to me ASAP. I was in awe especially since they took my $29 for next day! I cancelled the order, ordered the same part from Midway and got it the next day for a few bucks more. In the past I've ordered from them and they've taken forever.. Same with their 'Member site' DVOR.

HORRIBLE COMPANY....THEY ARE TIED WITH PURE TALK FOR THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET...LIKE OTHERS HAVE STATED NO NAME ON BUSINESS IS NO BUSINESS...ANOTHER IF YOU NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM OPTIC PLANET CONSIDER YOURSELF FORTUNATE!!! I WAS NOT SO SMART...I PLACED 5 ORDERS,,,SOMETHING WRONG ON ALL 5 ORDERS IN THEIR FAVOR,,,PLUS ONCE YOU PUT A ITEM IN YOUR CART,,,GO BACK TO ORDER OPTIC PLANET HAS RAISED THE PRICE!!! BUY NOTHING FROM THIS JERK....

They raise the price of items once on your cart...the business does not even have a name on the building....I've placed 5 orders...Something was wrong on all 5 orders in their favor. The last order 21/03/22 I ordered two items a set of 30mm rings I needed and a sbr case just to have another back up...The case comes ups in 3 days...But no rings. I find out Optics Planet shipped the rings by DHL...they won't answer my emails and they say give the tracking 5 days to work..What??? To make matters worse I order the scope from Sports Optics 11am 24/03/22 it arrives the 25th free shipping no tax ...(I'm on US military program) So here I freaking sit with a weapon sling rail scope but NO FREAKING RINGS AND I ORDERED THEM 3 DAYS BEFORE I ORDERED THE SCOPE...Don't trust me read all Optics Planet 1star reviews...more 1s than anything else..Bottom line thus guy sucks! BRYANT US MILITARY RETIRED

Ordered 17 NOV 2021, as of 3/12/22 still waiting, no updates from OP, no customer service, no way to contact OP without being on hold for 40 min. Sad, cause OP used to be decent, long ago. Total trash now! WILL NEVER ORDER FROM OP AGAIN

I placed a order for a barrel and reflex sight for my new pistol. I gave my PO Box as the shipping address. They responded saying they could not ship to a PO Box so I gave them my physical (home) address with the stipulation that they would have to ship via either UPS or FedEx because I don't have USPS at my home address. I received a confirmation email stating they would ship to my home and not use USPS. The next day I received a email stating my order was shipped via USPS. I called their customer service and was informed there was nothing they could do until it was returned to them, which could take weeks. Then they would either reship or refund my order. I felt like I shouldn't have to wait weeks for resolution and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told one would call me back within 48 hours. They have basically tied up over $500 of my money, which is a lot to me and probably just a drop in the bucket to them. It appears that their customer service policy is to make their customers pay for their shipping department's mistakes. I've been a loyal OP customer for years, but no more.

I live in Reno Nevada I have a concealed carry permit I was buying a non lethal gun and they canceled the order because they said risk management They didn't want to sell it to me at the sale price

I ordered ammo from Optic Planets. The website popped up a message, FREE RETURNS. The customer service person said, let me check to find the best ammo for your pistol. 60 rounds were great, just what I needed. Then there were 300 rounds of ammo that will not will not fire from my gun, over $50. When I called to return them, the customer service person said, oh we don't accept returns on ammo!!! Beware of Optics Planet!

I ordered "in stock" ammo in Oct 2020. Got a email confirming. Later that day said it is back ordered. After numerous emails (which I can provide) over the last almost 14 months saying they would ship it. They now will not honor the original order. Want me to pay an additional $500. How can i trust a company like that? Brad

It is approaching a year since I ordered .556 ammo. They recently advertised the ammo for sale, but refuse to fill my order due to the price when I ordered it or as they put it, "unable to offer a different SKU number for same price." Just more pressure to cancel my price before the big increase. I couldn't give half a star. I have received ammo promptly from Palmetto Armory(.556, 9mm, 12gauge) do yourself and favor and buy from them. SKU YOU OPTICS PLANET!

A year and still waiting. No logical explanation on reasons for the delay. Just “circumstances outside our control and we are unable to ship according to the original timeframe”. Very poor customer service and overall planning. I will spend my money elsewhere going forward.

Ordered ammunition in December 2020. I recognized, then and now, that there is a shortage and was prepared to wait a reasonable length of time. The lead time estimate at the time was, I think, about 4 - 6 weeks. Reasonable given the shortage so I placed the order. Since the original lead time estimate has passed the order continues to be moved out each time about 2 weeks or so before the previous lead time indication is on the website. I have called, I spoke to a very nice person who told me (I think it was June or July) that it would ship in a couple of weeks, I have emailed and gotten the company line "we are at the mercy of our supplier" so many times it seems to be a recording. I have tried live chat with similar results. I understand that the suppliers are also short on inventory. My point is that to miss so very many lead time estimates and continually to move the lead time just before the prior estimate said it would ship is one of two things. Either the Optics Planet is lying to customers about lead time or Optics Planet's supplier is lying to them, in which case a new supplier should be in order. In my case much of the ammunition on order is to be made by Aguila. According to Aguila Optics Planet is not a direct vendor for Aguila so I don't know who Optics Planet supplier might be. Whoever it is (and it would be interesting to know) there is a definite disconnect in the supply chain of Optics Planet. At this point I don't think I will order from Optics Planet in the future and I will likely not be that interested in Aguila, even though it is not from all appearances their fault. Bottom line do not rely on any estimate of lead time this company provides, based on almost a full calendar year waiting for product, the estimates cannot be trusted. Nor is the company to be trusted in my opinion.

Wrote customer service a question about any upcoming promotions they might have for the upcoming Veterans Day in 7 days from now. Asking because I was looking at a high dollar purchase. The response I received back was, if I were an account holder or member of optics planet I would know. Really? That's the response I get. Not no, we sure are, but you will have to wait and see or I'll check for you. I am veteran, retired Army. This is how they treat their veterans. Just check your emails for promos when they come out. And that was it.

RUN. This company shows one price, lets you order it, and then when they realize they can charge more for the item, they cancel your order... ONE YEAR after you order it. They are not responsive and will always send you a vague response. Want to talk to a human? Good luck.

I ordered ammo almost exactly one year ago. They kept stalling and coming up with excuses and finally cancelled my order after a year passed. Simply the worst company you could ever trust. Also, when you attempt customer service response by E-mail you get computer generated generic responses. Nobody actually tries to answer your shipping or order questions. They just blame production or shipping problems. Of course, the item is in stock on their listings but at a way higher price now...imagine that. Don't waste your time with this company.

Same issues as everyone else. They want your money so bad that they blatantly lie about inventory count and shipping delays. First purchase I made was not shipped for 2 months, so I canceled it and ordered from another vendor. That order arrived in 2 days from their competitor. OP shipped my 2+ months late order 5 days after I canceled it. I then had to ship it back, at my expense, to get my refund(which took another month). Second order was listed as "in stock"(not likely) and shipping 15-24 days. After 2 months, I blocked all transactions having to do with OP from my payment method. That did not keep them from attempting to charge me 4-5 times until they took the hint, almost 3 months from when I made the mistake of ordering from them for the last time. I finally blocked them from Chrome so I didn't have to see anymore of their lies in my search results. Just a horrible company that should never be at the top of any search results. You should pretend they just don't exist, as you will regret trying to save money by having them waste your time and money. Consider ordering from OpticsPlanet not to be an option, ever, for any price. You will regret it.
