“It's a great boost on hills but the battery doesn't last long enough. Dawes discovery is a tandem cycle so it's almost double the weight”

“Worcester, Massachusetts, USA has many hills. I am, 78 year old male) and now am able climb them without too much effort with my upgraded bike. The major problem I had with the bike was the delivery uncertainty. Delivery was 5 months later than promised. I would not have minded it if I was informed on a timely basis of the delays. The problem was that customer service responded slowly and ambiguously. A minor problem was that the spokes on the wheel were not tightened. I had to tighten each one individually. When the package was delivered, it had everything that was promised packaged in an intelligent manner. EVERYTHING came in working order. Assembly was relatively easy except for installing the inline brake sensors. Overall I am a very satisfied customer; the upgraded bike is a lot of fun.”

“Good quality built. Works as expected. Perfect pedal assistance for my Brompton without going into complex transformations. Folds welll (it is heavier, but it was never light, was it?) and most importantly it keeps the Bomopton ride feel.”

“Once I had received and Swytched my Boardman hybrid bike, I was very pleased. Long delay in receiving it and very little customer service but happy with the end result. I suggest you give them a go as it’s a good product.”

“Easy install on old Raleigh Pioneer 5 SIS step thru bike. My main journey on it is 8 miles into town, and back again up a moderate incline. The Max battery pack can do this if I am frugal on the way in (mostly downhill) and use it on a low assist level (one or two bars) on the way back. Cold weather can also reduce your mileage - but that would be true of any e-bike?”

“I have a Universal kit on my Orange E4 (which is probably sacrilege but at 84 who cares) and I love it. It flies! I can do all the recreational routes again that I used to do when I was 65. I highly recommend it. Bit of irritation over delivery. I ordered it in September 22 and was told it would arrive in March 23. It eventually arrived in mid June. A couple of thing to comment on. I found one other point that mentioned in the manual, regarding the magnetic ring alignment and its sensor. It's advised where there is limited fitting space, the bracket and lugs should be removed from the sensor before securing with plastic ties. I found, on the painted surface of the bike's frame this method did not secure the sensor tight enough. I had to re-enforce with plastic tape. The Mount comes with 3 extra leads that are intended for accessories. In my experience electronics and British wet weather don't go well together. Perhaps some protective caps could be added to the kit Finally, I'd like to buy an OLED display or a second battery but it appears I have buy a full kit to achieve this. So far no reply to my query with Customer Service Apart from these minor niggles, the kit is brilliant. Highly recommended”

“It took the company some time to get up and running and deliver the kit, but once they did i clocked 500km on my electric conversion and so far i am pretty happy with it. The product is well designed and engineered, the small battery is very portable and big enough for daily commutes. The motor is small but strong. I feel that the motor programming could be a bit more refined but it works.”

“Really pleased with the latest Swytch kit installation on my Brompton. It took about 30mins to install, carefully, and has given me a much needed blast of power ever since. Loving it and an occasional 10mile ride I do on this folding bike has seen a reduction in journey time from 45 to 30minutes and I don't have to take a change of clothes anymore as I don't get hot and sweaty cycling anymore - what a transformation! A great minimalist kit, now the battery is so neat, that really suits the Brompton cycles, and the battery and charger even fits neatly in the Brompton front bag pockets when its all stowed-away - brilliant!”

“After the customary brief look at the instructions I set to work seeing whixh of our 4 bikes the kit was most compatible with, as it turned out only one. Once fitted however the kit works really well. Unfortunately it took best part of a year to arrive in it's entirity but getting plenty of use since :-)”

“I have the max battery. Has made cycling enjoyable again! I only tend to set it on the lowest assist needed. Though this is enough to get me going and get me up the hills with no problem. I've just turned 50 so my knees aren't as young as they used to be!”

“Still having troubles with the mounting of the magnetic-reader. The bike has oval frame and there is little to none space between frame and pedals... :-( So... I still cannot ride my "new old eBike" *sigh*”

“Good customer service. I bought the Max battery and it gives me about 10km on a single speed bike with one or two 300 m steep hills in. Could be more, could be less. Happy with the regarding and fitting was about 2 hours but would be less if you regularly work on bikes.”

“Love my power but the display/control is very dangerous as not possible to switch down a level without going all the way up and then down to zero again and having to double click each time. Really don’t like this at all. I wonder if there is a safer option?”

“Now that I have the switch kit I’m very happy with it . The problem was the ordering it took a long time to come , nearly 8 months ! It is also not as easy to put together as the advert says. My husband had to make adjustments to my bike forks but now it’s up and running I love it.”

“The product is good - a bit flimsy but ok. You wait a year and it is worth it. The customer service people drive you mad with slow responses and surveys asking you continually how much you love them - but the bike kit is good.”

“The installation was smooth other than some difficulty with the fork fit. The motor assist engages in a predictable way that is easy to get used to when riding. The basic display is not easy to use when changing settings, requiring the manual to figure out. This is mostly ok except for it would be nice to have an easy to change power assist percentage on the fly. The stated battery range should also provide some adjustments for temperature and hills because I was getting about 40% less than stated on a hilly ride. Finally, the controller could use some improved voltage management on the battery because I would drop from 3 bars to cutting off completely when I rode up hills.”
