Dahon Mariner Owner: I have the Swytch Max Kit and it works great for NYC riders! However, the Swytch mount on my handlebar is making my foldable bike unfoldable. I need the mount that goes to the seat saddle so I can fold my bike again. The Swytch website is not allowing me to purchase only the accessories, I have to purchase another Swytch kit so I can get access to the accessories. This issue needs to be fixed or easy and accessible for the current Swytch kit holders worldwide. Other than that it’s an awesome product!!

Good price if you don’t mind waiting for it, would recommend the larger battery pack more than the small👍

Service was good even when there were problems matching my card payments to my order. Customer service was generally good.

This has transformed my favourite trek hybrid bike, now I can leave home in either direction up very steep hills which has been stopping me riding for several years. The kit did take an age to arrive ordered in May delivered in December. However I fitted it myself in a couple of hours. it took a while to work out which amount of pedal assist I needed for each hill but now I am delighted with the conversion. definitely need to recharge after each use even though I got the bigger battery, but it is very hilly here. I have not tried to reach customer support as the fixing went smoothly.

I have a Trek Marlin and I ordered mine back in early 22 and due to Covid lockdown in China orders were somewhat delayed so it arrived several months late, unfortunately this wasn't communicated without prompting, which was a bit of a annoyance. It was due in June and I received it in November. The kit its self was easy to put together and the instructions are fairly simple. I had to buy a new disk brake because the other wouldn't release off the wheel. It took me about 2hours to build, but that's mainly because I had to keep rechecking the instructions. I ordered the booster switch however because my frame is not round or straight makes finding a place to attach it is difficult. As is securing the battery mount. But it's attached that's what matters. Using it, especially with the nice weather, is quite nice. But the Range (I bought the XL pack) is stretching the definition. It boils down to riding style. Size of the wheels (I have a 28"), level ground and the power level. Even at the lowest assist level I might get 2 days travel and that's 12 miles on a single charge, bit of a far cry from the 25+ miles claimed. Perhaps others would have a better result with smaller wheel base. I found that I was having to get creative when cycling especially on day 2. I have it on a low power when I'm cycling, press down once more so its not using any going down hill. Turn it up too 4 when setting off from traffic lights before turning it down when at speed, and 3 on hills. It's no wonder they suggest a second pack or a spare charging cable for the 'Office'. It wouldn't work for me unless they came up for a way for me to charge from a 12v power socket on the vehicle and I don't fancy buying another battery until I need too. Worth the £600 I paid? Meh, while cheaper than a ready built, it needs more work on the battery capacity. However it does the job of moving the weight of my Bike and my sorry carcass along the road so Im not going to argue too much.

I‘ve got now my bike fit for all everyday-procedures ;-) Maybe in the future there will be an addition for easier „climbing“ too. Anyway: I can use my Brompton now in 2 ways, without any troubles to fold it, like it‘s been before „swytching“ ;-)

I love having my swytch original large battery as i can go up to 55 km per charge. What would make it better is to be able to mount it in the frame or back as it does make the front more unstable. If a small monitor could then be the display mounted at the front of the bike- that would be grand. Any ideas @swytch team as i have already beein in contact with support team but no response as yet from a week ago?

Kit for a dahonJetstream folding full suspension bike, overall kit was good , the negatives, peddle sensor did not fit but an alternative was sent and to be honest was a better more compact part which I prefer, battery heavy on the bars , slips down and the strap cannot be used due to the stem configuration, a little of inner front forks had to be filed to fit the hub in. Most of these issues due to the quite rare type/model of bike. Brake cables have not been fitted as a little short on space, but has not given me any problems. The pull from the motor is good and flattens the hills easily. Hard to tell how long components will last but all good so far (only4 charges). I would recommend this product/company to everyone. I personally would prefer the battery/controller as a water bottle type to keep the weight lower and away from brakes, gear cables, lights.

This is a really nicely engineered piece of kit. It was easy to fit, and I find cycling with it is much easier. The optional brake sensors that come with the kit aren't really necessary, given that the motor stops as soon as you start pedalling. I bought the 50 mile battery kit, but I don't see that the battery would ever give 50 miles unless the pedal assistance was at it's lowest all of the time. Generally, the battery indicator is down to about halfway after around 12 miles (and I rarely go above halfway up the Pedal Assistance levels). I haven't attempted to run it flat yet, though. Generally, a worthwhile buy, and recommended

This is a great conversion kit, simple to fit and a hoot to ride. My car hardly gets used any more! I fitted the kit to my commuter bike which makes carting laptop, clothes, lock and lunch to and from work so much easier! The other big plus is I can ride the 10 miles to the office (including 2 long hills) and not arrive in a sweaty mess in need of a shower. My only criticism is that, with the battery bag attached, there isn't anywhere to mount a front light. Swytch obviously thought of this and built one into the bag itself but if you need something more powerful then you're going to need to get a bit creative.

I love my Swytch eBike kit. It is super lightweight, I can take the battery on or off and it works like a dream. I have been inspired by people doing long rides in the mountains to do a trek of my own somewhere. Mostly I use it for commuting a 10km roundtrip in my hilly small town to work and trains.

I ordered 2 of the 50 mile kits in March 2018. The reason that I bought two was that I realised that the 250 WHr batteries claimed to give 50 miles would likely give me about half of this range in the hills of North Yorkshire. I realised after a few weeks that they might be delayed so I bought a Kalkhoff 600 WHr e-bike with hub gears and a belt drive costing £2600. This bike was good but had clicks almost right from the start. In the end I had to have the motor replaced. The Eco mode of the bike showed 118 miles but in the hills of North Yorkshire it was getting just less than half of this. In February 2019 my two kits arrived at last. I fitted them to my two bikes. There was one fault with a battery unit which was fixed fast by the Swytch team. I fitted one kit on my Koga bike with 14 hub gears (same bike as Mark Beaumont cycled round the world on), and one kit on an old Genesys bike. When I go out I take the spare battery in a pannier and switch when the other battery is getting low - about 25 to 30 miles on the hills. This shows that the Kalkhoff bike and the Switch bikes get about the same fall-off in range. The Kalkhoff bike gives a smoother increase in speed but I actually enjoy the Switch bikes a bit more as I feel more of a kick and the bikes are lighter. I have increased the maximum speed from 15.5mph to 17.5mph (illegal) and it is now even more fun. I like to cycle at the maximum mode (5 out of 5) which makes it really responsive. I have cycled in total about 1100 miles using the Swytch kits. Some of the rides around here have very steep hills and I then take the Kalkhoff bike as it has more torque, but the Swytch would also get up the hills but not just as fast. I am very pleased with the Swytch kits so the wait was worthwhile.

I love my Swytch Brompton kit. I use it in a Decathlon BTwin folding bike and works perfectly. It's very helpful because I have a lot of climbs and with Swytch is easier to make them. Batery pack is a little heavy but with new kit that problem will be solve.

I ride an Electra beach cruiser and have a huge hill as part of my commute. I didn't want to have to change my bike but pushing it up the hill every day was getting annoying. Then along came Swytch! The motor is powerful enough to get me up the hill, and the battery bag is subtle enough that it just looks like a regular bag on the handlebars. Nothing is taken away from the style of the bike, and nobody realises that it is an e-bike until I breeze past them on the hill!

The swytch kit is convenient you don't have to buy a new bike rather, you can convert your old bike into an e-bike. I have the 500w wheel, which has been great so far. I usually use the padel assist function when I am going to work or school so I don't sweat. It also comes in handy after soccer practice that when I usually go all out (23-25mph). Swytch makes life easier, it's a great convenience. The only issue that I have is with mileage I bought the 50 mile battery pack but I barely get 15 miles going on pedal assist 3. If the swytch team could fix the mileage problem, then this product would deserve 5 stars.

I have the brompton kit. I think I'm one of the firsts to have it here down under. The product is great and the installation was relatively easy. The only problem is with the pedal sensor. You need to readjust it frequently. Other than that is the reliability issue. Mine had a problem with the controller. However, the team handled this and sent me another controller. I have to applaud them for this. The customer service response time was a bit slow though. But they are still a small company. I hope they could improve on this.
