Although I converted a mountain bike, I have since only used it on road and rough paths. I wasn't sure at first: I hadn't used the bike for a while and it was hard to evaluate exactly how much assistance the Swytch kit was providing. But the more I use it, the more I like it and I've come to realise just how useful, essential even, the power assistance is where I live in the hilly Derbyshire Derwent valley.

Great invention. I now can use my bike instead of the car.

Added it to my wife's 27.5 mtb and it made a huge difference. I docked a star because their communication is somewhere between bad and non-existent.

Original battery was defective, replacement works great, now part of my daily routine and my only way for travelling around the city

The swytch kit was ready to fit and works really well, if anything even power 1 is too powerful. The light weight of bike and kit mean that it's really easy to put in the car too. We are still waiting on the seat post clamp kit to arrive but when it does the basket will be restored to the front of the bike.

I can still enjoy the feeling of biking but at the same time I can go a little bit farther than before with the help of swytch.

Poor delivery followed by great experience on the bike I know the delivery was unfortunate and due to unforeseen circumstances The bike has rejuvenated my cycling at an elderly time of life and kept my old bike going.

Mostly easy to fit, aside from having to file down to fit my drop outs. Works generally well. Could do with a little more power. Power seems to drop off quite sharply with level of battery charge.

When the kit works, it's LOVELY. I had troubles fitting the pedal sensor on my bike, but was never told to measure that section before buying (it's truly crammed into a space that barely fits). I do have some issues with the kit not always connecting property, but it's happens approximately one out of every 15 rides and I just hop off, take the battery off, make sure it's free of debris (which it always is), make sure the cords are all connected (which they always are), and cross my fingers. I love being able to pop the battery off and carry it with me and it's just the right amount of pedal assist!

After a long wait, my Swytch kit arrived and I installed it. The thumb throttle cable was too short for my beach cruiser bike (I managed to buy one before Swytch support finally responded and sent one.) The install went fine except for the initial scare because I did not know the power button had to be held for several seconds to turn it on. I enjoy riding the cruiser with the Swytch pedal assist. The motor makes riding a bike more enjoyable for a person nearing 70. The optional, larger battery seems fine for my riding habits. I live in Mobile, Alabama, United States of America.

I love the Swytch kit, not so much the delivery time. It took about 9 months to get my kit (in Canada). I chose this product because I am 72, an upper limb amputee with a 25 year old Raleigh Legend bike that I really don’t want to give up. After finally getting my kit this spring, I got my wife & son to help me with putting it together. That turned out to be easier than expected. The hardest part was adjusting the brakes (nothing to do with the kit). Now that I have my newly renewed bike working, I love it! I can face hills without flinching, never have to worry about being too tired to make it back home from the pickleball court. If they could find a way to shorten the delivery delay, this would be a near-perfect solution. As with another reviewer, I find that the high mount of the battery impedes balance somewhat so I will be working on a way to mount it lower.

The swytch kit is great. The customer care bot so . I have been waiting on my A frame battery cradle that I paid for in January 2023. Still waiting on when it's going to be delivered. As they said they had a few issues with it. No further updates or refund offered.

I wish Swytch made a PAS sensor that works on the right (non-drive) side for a tandem. I had to mount it on the left (drive)side with the chainring and it's messy and doesn't work well at all. Tech support told me they don't make a right-side sensor so make sure you know that before ordering for a tandem. When it works, though, it's great.

Love having the power on my road bike as well as my Brompton which was converted using the older battery with controls within it. The downside to the new battery is the control is on a separate gadget which only allows power increase and not decrease so is much more time consuming to go down or turn off, which you do not have time for when riding. More description of the control unit would have been useful when buying. I would have paid extra for a more sensible unit!

Your Testimonial: Works well, easy enough to fit ( for a 60+ woman) but battery never fully charges-only issue.

There was a lot of fettling need to get the wheel mounted in the front forks and the pedal sensor will only fit with multiple cable ties in all directions to keep it in place. The kit performs well on flat/medium terrain but battery drains very quickly on steep hills even when using the lowest gear. Now fitting all sorted I’m happy with the way the kit works on the bike and makes cycling in mixed elevations much more accessible.

I ordered a bigger capacity swytch set to install on my city bike, I had been biking to my work in Paris already some time, it is ok in the autumn and winter, but with spring and summer coming up, i was looking for a way to avoid sweaty arrivals at work. Having recently bought a brand new conventional bike, I did not want to purchase a new electric bike. The kit arrived with a small delay, i have to admit thag installation was a bit of a challenge for me. I would have loved to have option to bring my bike somewhere for installation if swytch had a network. But patently I went ahead and managed to install it in 2 sessions a week apart. For me aligning the magnet ring and pedal sensor was the toughest part. Once the kit is installed, it is really great. Range is around 80% of what it is claimed to be, but it is acceptable for me. If I had to do it over again, I would go for the handlebar attached controller/accelerator switch. If you want to have a slightly cheaper access to electrified riding, then this could be it for you.

The delivery process was a bit cumbersome, but once I received the kit the install was straight forward and the documentation extremely clear. I love my new Swytch-powered bike!

I bought the Air battery and wheel with standard controller. After the quite lengthey wait it turned up the day before Christmas which was very nice. Installing took about 3 to 4 hours but all went very smoothly and within a day I was zooming around. I bought the Swytch specifically to ride my bike to the station which is around 2.5 miles. The journey there is mostly downhill but of course coming back is the killer, basically uphill all the way. After a day at work this is not very appealing to try and ride back on. The Swytch has changed all that. Once I had worked out that just having it on full all time is pointless as it really does kill the battery quickly, I have found the perfect balance of assist for what is a pretty old heavy bike. I redid the PAS sensor after a month or so and found taking the time to align it properly made a massive difference to performance as well. I have invested in a really good lock for the wheel and a separate one for the frame and being on a slightly crappy frame should hopefully fool the thieves. The small battery is then perfect to just slide in my bag with the controller. I love it. I generally was driving before this so I get more exercise, help the environment and have great fun doing it. VV Happy.
