A tad difficult to install (pedal mechanism). The power makes it easier to get up hills but the range is not as far as my NCM Milano. That said, the battery is lighter and easy to take with me if I am stopping to shop. I am in my mid 60's, so I enjoy the help while cycling my home city of many hills on a very comfortable bike with a "flat foot" frame. Although the cost to convert the bike (at 50% off) was almost what I paid for my Townie Electra originally in 2014, it was still $1k less than buying a new electric version of my cruiser.

Great battery and mount. Great motor hub. Great weather proof wiring. Easy installation. Was worth the wait.

Not owning a car - but enjoying travel and cycling I opted to convert a slightly customized, but well used 20 inch folding bike with a Swytch kit. This bike travels well on local/regional bus racks and goes with me where ever I go. the standard kit installed easily (I did need a short additional extension cable to keep the axle notch pointing down) but all elements from the wheel to controller/battery clamp and the optional throttle I ordered installed without a hitch. I normally tour with this small bike (adding some paniers and a small trunk bag) and my tent/sleeping pad etc. While not a powerhouse for big hills when loaded the pedal assist makes trips a real pleasure. The quick connecting and rubberized battery does fit into my cargo pants or packback making the bike secure for travel or when grabbing a snack at tour stop. Overall a great option for my needs. The sensor and set-up offer a nice sooth boost that is gentle and easy to control and a pleasure to ride with. I would have given 5 stars - and would not hesitate to recommend the Swytch kit - only noting that the delivery process was simply confused... arriving 4 months after an email said the kit was ready to go (would miss Christmas but arrive within 30 days). This led to 3 months of polite email exchanges. If the delivery process can be made transparent - delays are ok but get the messaging right - should be 5 stars.

Works well on Mountain roads in Montana and still getting work out. Cuts time by 50%. Wish I would have ordered second battery. About 12 to 15 miles assist, On hills. Smother shift than rear motors. Pleased with Swytch.

Unacceptable delay in delivery (took eight months, not the originally-stated three!), but once fitted, a brilliant bit of kit. Very easy to fit (took me about 2 hours) and works really well. Top tip for extending battery range...keep it turned off for level or very gentle uphill gradients, and save for use when the uphill going gets harder.

The kit was relatively easy to assemble, and worked straight away. Two small issues with the installation were encountered. 1) I had to file off a couple mm from the fork "dropouts" to fit the axle of the new wheel, 2) added a spacer washer to the new axle to centre it in the forks; probably my bike was not perfectly symmetrical. I found clear information and illustrations on the website to cover the first situation. The assembly instructions are nice and clear. Extremely happy with the performance of the kit. The only downside was that I had to wait quite a long time between payment for the kit, and its arrival. I understand this was initially due to supply shortages, and later to safety requirements for couriering the larger battery slowing down delivery.

Smooth integration. Smooth ride. I purchased the extra juice battery pack for longer bike rides and the LCD screen. Straight forward integration with only basic bike tools required. Although it took me longer than 1 hour to incorporate, the parts provided were well labeled and instructions were clear. The lengthy install was due to my own bike and having to remove parts to swap the original wheel with the Swytch Wheel. The performance of the bike wheel is pretty nice, it works very well on flat terrain and can take me up most hills without a problem. I do believe without the LCD screen, you are unable to change power levels which I think is required to go up higher grade hills. I have a LCD screen and can change power levels which gets me up higher incline hills. As for the power levels, the 5 really don’t matter too much on single speed bikes on flat grade since I cannot fully take advantage of a bike gear + pedal assist. I usually stop seeing a difference on flat inclines at power level 3. If I had a multi-speed bike, I believe I could see a difference with level 5. But I don’t think this issue is a problem with Swytch - don’t let that persuade you away. The extra juice battery pack I got I felt like was a good investment and peace of mind when biking further than you typically do. I haven’t been able to bike far enough to know the real limit. But I’ve been able to make 10 - 12 mile trips with ease and be able take a few higher incline hills. I hope the battery capacity does not lower as time goes on and I can continue to ride at length but I will only find out as time goes on. I noticed that without the LCD screen, I was unable to unlock the full potential of the system; features such as: different power levels, monitor battery level, and disabling speed governor. It’s worthy investment so pick it up when you can. Right now, after receiving my bike wheel order, I am unable to make additional purchases from the website. I was lucky to invest in purchasing accessories when I was putting together my kit online. They seem to not be permitting accessory purchases right now. Make sure you buy them when you purchase your bike kit. Lastly, the Swytch Bike system uses parts that seem to follow a standard across all electric bikes such as the electrical wires. However, you cannot purchase after-market accessories such as a throttle or LCD screen on Amazon. Some “light” investigation online from others have mentioned they believe that Swytch “crossed the wires” in their proprietary parts so you can’t plug in 3rd party accessories and expect them to work. Swytch seems to want to move towards a “closed source” system but won’t allow you to purchase accessories after you have received your kit online nor purchase any after market parts on Amazon so you are stuck. I’m sure most users including their own employees believe in the ability to maintain and self-repair their own bikes and electronics but it does not seem that Swytch allows you to purchase 3rd party accessories but rather buy their “official” accessories that are rebranded generic parts made to work with their system. We’ve seen issues with companies trying to lock down systems that are very generic to begin with and I believe it just limits their reach. You could argue that it helps them control the quality of the product; I think you should leave that to the customer to decide if they want to expand their system. Overall, I’m happy with my bike kit. It was a great investment after 5 months. I’m disappointed by the initial understanding that the system is “closed source” and I cannot buy after-market accessories.

Overall kit was well laid out. Customer service folks were very nice though it would often take a few days for a reply to a question. Had to file down the bolt on the front wheel to fit the bike but it was pretty easy and the videos were helpful. Bike with pedal assist works really well. Overall glad I purchased

I love my converted bike. I was able to install the kit myself ( I'm not a bike mechanic, but a 70 year- old grandma). I love that my bike weighs only 1.5kg more than before. It is awesome to ride and I can still ride home if I run out of battery somewhere. I would give it 5 stars if it hadn't taken almost a year to get here. But being patient paid off. This kit is awesome!

I had a 6 month wait. Wrong connection for battery charger. Took two goes to get correct dongle. Found the brake sensors were not needed and interfered with the sensor. Best to turn the power on and off when needed otherwise use too much power. After sorting out all the problems have been using my Switch bike for 3 months now without any problems and am very happy with it as I only use for steep hills and then switch off. Therefore I can do around 40 or more miles that way.

Great for my knees! I have arthritis in knees/back and also had a quadruple bypass. Swytch allows me to keep riding my bike towards my exercise goals.

easy to install and use, however, sometimes the sensor gets moved and prevents contact and power to the motor. This has given an old cycle a new lease of life as an eBike.

I love my Switch converted bicycle! Due to supply chain issues, took a year to receive all components and many email to follow up for status. The (AI) customer service eventually reaches humans, but took longer than I expected. I put most of the Kit together, then paid to have the tube, tire and brakes installed properly. The battery lasts less than 20 miles, which leaves me pedaling without ease too soon. Overall, I highly recommend this product to friends and family! I find that my bike is very difficult to pedal as a regular bike, even with the monitor off and battery pack removed. Pedaling is way more arduous and slower. I rode 35 miles and two packs (I purchased a second back-up battery pack) didn’t last 25 miles. Is there a remedy?

Your Testimonial: I found the instructions for fitting the crank sensor a bit vague and it clearly needs a better designed spacer for the mount. I have the larger battery but the range seems to be quite a bit shorter than is claimed. Otherwise it works well.

Minor problems in installing. Ex. Battery pack mount should be facing rider, so the bike can still be folded.

Very happy with the kit, my Base unit stopped working and needed replacing which took longer than I thought but I was sent a new one eventually. I went for the 30km battery which I need as on a full charge because of the hills I go up it lasts for about 15-18km. I would recommend this
