Impressive tech and surprising delivery! Firstly the delivery, it was surprising because it arrived out of no where EARLY and I wasn't in to receive it , better tracking would have been nice and I could have avoided a few days of hassle but it was a few weeks earlier than expected so overall I was happy. Then the kit itself, I struggle a bit with bike maintenance like flat tyres, but I actually managed it OK, I got my partner to help with the tyre bit as it hurts the fingers getting the tyre off but apart from that I managed the rest myself. And the boost and the feeling when you start riding is just wow so I would absolutely recommend this!

Happy to give 5 stars. I just had a problem solved almost instantly by the excellent team at swytch, they asked me would I be happy to comment on the service full disclosure, but I am more than happy to Firstly the delivery updates were very helpful. I also ordered a VanMoof and their updates were few and far between and it arrived 5 months late Swytch was almost on time and I was kept updated it would be a few weeks late The system itself feels as powerful as my other ebike the vanmoof but it is significantly lighter. I understand the firm is quite young and so the technology is very impressive well done! Can I invest? If there was an opportunity to invest and support this team I would take it.

At the age of 78 , finding that living on a steep hill was becoming less conducive to cycling and recommended by friends, I ordered a Swytch Kit Max. Yes, it took a while for it to arrive but having now installed the kit, completely by myself, it was well worth the wait. It's amazing and cycling is fun again and more importantly I can zoom up the hill with my shopping.. I found the manual precise and easy to follow and working through step by step the installation took me about 4 hours ...with a few coffee breaks! I would thoroughly recommend a Swytch Kit to septuagenarians everywhere.

Not happy at all, my husband ordered his kit in and fully paid for 800€ for his Barcelona Bike ,at the same time ordered a new battety mount for 140£, fir his Brompton here in Croydon they kepy saying bit will take several months to be delivered, then in 22 Oct 2022 the box arrived in Barcelona incomplete, only the wheel and battery arrived, sent them email that several parts to the kit are missing , no respons, then the one for Uk never arrived as according to them we have not paid, i sent them the receipts of the 140 £ payment , up to now 9 March 2023, have not received an email .they sends automatic reply acknowledging receipt of my emails ,but thats it. so obvious I am not happy especially aftervreading all the reviews, looks like we are all on the same boat, been tricked or scammed.

I'm 81, have raced and toured for most of my life. I still cycle almost every day, usually around a 5 mile slightly hilly circuit through lovely country lanes. I have arthritic knees and very painful back-pain, which feels at it's most comfortable when I ride. So having got my position just right on my old racing bike, I did not want to risk buying a new e-bike which did not suit me, and anyway, what's the point of buying another bike when you already have one you like?. I therefore, I ordered the Pro kit in January and it arrived in May. Fitting it took less than an hour after, widening the dropouts slightly (using a grinding wheel was very quick, but you have to be very careful not to overdo it). The performance has exceeded my expectations. I have it permanently set on 60 % assistance (the minimum) and no speed limit, which is really for off-road use, but you don't get that sudden drag feeling when you crest a hill. I think the 15 mph speed limit legislation was probably devised by a committee of non-cyclists, because I am not travelling any faster than when I was young and fit. Initially, the battery feels heavy on the bars and some of my friends have made brackets to lower it, but I soon got used to it and do not find it a problem. My only (slight) complaint is the price of the extras. The Pro kit is £124 more than the Eco kit and the black wheel is £50 more than the silver one. Having bought black rims in the past, I know that they are only slightly more expensive than silver. Since reaching 80, I was getting more and more aches and pains and loosing muscle strength, and cycling was becoming an unpleasant chore; but this has renewed my enjoyment and enthusiasm, knowing that the ride will be as hard or easy as I want to make it according to how I feel on the day. I can get 30 miles normal use, and much further if I am cycling with friends who are slower, so I can save the battery by switching the motor off on the flat and down hills. There aren't many panaceas in life, i.e. you think you have found the answer and then you find a problem – but the Swytch kit is everything and more than I wished for. .

Received my Brompton e-bike conversion kit which was somewhat delayed by the Covid shutdowns in China, no fault of Swytch. I ordered the earlier 250kWh battery that looks like a black brick on your handlebar. The newer version is smaller and sleeker looks to be a better choice. Assembly took about 90 minutes in several simple steps: --Remove front wheel and tire; reinstall tire/tube on Swytch motorized wheel. --Install wheel and torque nuts. Make sure you get the lips on the torque washers inserted correctly in the fork ends. --Fit pedal sensor ring. I used the Brompton round unit that secures neatly onto the crank arm. The location on the non-drive side is exposed; others have installed it on the more protected drive side but I had no room for the sensor. --Fit sensor. Longer zip ties helped here. --Fit battery handlebar holder. An accessory mount is available for the Brompton luggage carrier but I opted against it. --Fit wiring. No real issues other than the geometry of the sensor ring and sensor both of which require some fiddling to get right and secure. Riding? Once you charge up and customize the settings, the bike performs very well. I found the lowest power setting to be optimal. Given that boost power is determined by rpm and not torque, your riding style will change... you will find your pedaling cadence to be driven by how much power you need from the motor. Optimal Uses? This conversion makes the Brompton an even better commuter... you will arrive at work sweat free. I took it out on a shopping trip and found the climb at the end (a slog up a steep grade with a grocery pack) had turned into an easy push. Flexibility? While the kit adds some weight to the bike, it's not anywhere near what other ebikes weigh and you retain your Brompton portability. Folding is not a problem. Buying an accessory frame handle strap (non-Swytch) makes it easy to carry. You can remove the battery and front wheel to quickly reconvert it back to an analog bike. Recommendation? I recommend this for any owner of an analog Brompton who is interested in ebikes and uninterested in the heavy investment in an entirely new cycle. It's an elegant solution.

The gear is really great, I use it with Bromton almost every day. Almost everyrhing is ok, just small comments: 1) there is a certain instable motor movement at some speed = the motor is kicking, one has to stop stepping on pedals. 2) using the battery, there is no place for bag on holder. Overall, very good investment :-)

VERY IMPRESSED WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE SALE ! From the very beginning I realized that this would be a complex transaction logistically. I would have to wait while my kit was manufactured and shipped half way ‘round the world before it arrived here in the U.S. That’s understandable and reasonable. Without these cost saving measures Swytch could not provide their product at such a competitive price point. Shipping issues are beyond the control of any individual or company, but Swytch kept me informed by e-mail and was always there to help in any way they could. It is refreshing, in this world today, to experience a company that truly believes in customer service and Skype certainly lives up to that promise !

It is easy to fit, it took me about 2 hours and most of that time was reading the instructions and finding the tools. The hardest thing was turning the battery on. There is a very small toggle switch at the rear of the battery pack. I tried to turn it on by pressing of the fabric battery cover where marked but in the end unzipped the battery cover to view the switch clearly. The assistance is great as soon as you start to pedal the motor cuts in and off you go. Hills are a breeze, I'm a fat, 100 kg, unfit pensioner, I just sailed up them. When you stop peddling the motor cuts out and you freewheel as normal. My bike is a Skoda Fun Ride cross and when I picked the bike up to put it away I noticed that it is much heavier. I have an old 531 10 speed bike on 1" wheels and i think it would not be so suited to the conversion. I use a u lock but I need to get a padlock and chain so that I can lock the front wheel and motor up when I leave the bike. I think that if you programme the battery pack with a smaller sized wheel you can increase the top speed above the 15 mph. The motor wheel is a fair match to the existing rear wheel apart from the hub motor and spokes being black. The rear wheel has silver spokes and hub. The black rim is identical. The front wheel is laced 2 cross rather than the existing 3 cross rear. I don't know what the range is but if I run out of charge I'll just use it as a normal bike. You don't need to change gears I keep it in a fair high gear and it seems fine. I ordered it months ago and was begining to think I had been the subject of a scam when the huge box arrived. I'm well pleased with bike it rides easy and I use it for local trips.

I have learned that if a product is boxed like an iPhone it’s gonna be good. It took months to get to me but in all fairness, covid and shipping are issues with all sorts of product delivery. Opening it was awesome. Assembly was a snap. But when I put puddle to the mental I was amazed. She flew! Then I tried adjusting the power settings and it did exactly what I hoped it would. It made a moderate ride pleasurable. My wife is gonna love this especially since she is now 68 and not in shape. Well done Swytch.

Excellent customer support and quality in product line, a snap to install. The addition to our 7 year old Bromptons has been great we ordered two units for our bikes which came to us during the height of Covid. Our first major ride was up a 4.5 km hill climb at 32 degrees followed by a second 8.5 km hill climb at 20 degrees. Both rides used less that one power bar, there are 5! We live at sea level surrounded by hills and mountains. Our motors worked flawlessly and climbed the hills as if we were on the flat. We still like to work our bikes for the exercise and have the option to turn the motors off with little or no resistance to our normal ride, but when it comes to hills, the Swytch Motors simply flattened them out! One of our units had a bit of an hiccup however the Swytch services reps (Laticia, Jonathan, Liam, and Martin) were excellent sending us advice and replacement parts in a timely manner. We are nearly 8000K away from London and yet we are an email away from support. We are looking forward to an updated battery pack for one of the units which I am sure will be arriving shortly and many more adventures on our Bromptons, thank you Brompton for a great bike and especially thank you SWYTCH for opening up a whole new world of fun!

I cannot praise this company high enough for helping me get through a problem with my Brompton kit, I was dreading how the issue could be fixed, anyway I contacted them and explained the nature of the fault, they came back to me within hours of listing a report number, they showed me how to do a number of tests with videos supplied and I would report back, it was during the second set of tests the fault was found and fixed, it forced me to think things through and it’s now been tested and is 100% perfect, however I doubt I could have found the problem without their support even though it was done remotely, so it does work, communications was done via email so gave me time to do tests, I for one am a very happy customer and I wish the guys at Swytch the best, they have a great product the world is in dire need of, and I hope the company grows to fulfill this, ok there might be a few bumps along the way but already they are a well known business, on my testing run met someone who knew Swytch so the name is out there now. Thanks In particular to LS, my direct contact. Great support from you all, thank you!

This is FANTASTIC! I'm in my mid 50's and used to cycle lots but over the last few years I've found it harder. Now having bought 2 Swytch kits; one for mine and my husband’s bike, it has put the pleasure back into cycling, so much so I'm now cycling to work. We go out together for lovely bike rides, enjoying the countryside and not having to worry about any steep hills or long inclines, cycling is now a pure joy and is helping us keep fit. WONDERFUL and EXCITING times ahead, thank you for inventing such a fabulous product!

Swytch Customer service is fantastic. I reached them easily via WhatsApp Chat and on a separate occasion also via email when I requested a call back. They called back the same day and were very helpful and courteous. Highly recommend the product and the product support team. Really great solution to electrify an existing bike at a fraction of a purpose built E bike cost. Also much less likely to attract thieves or higher insurance premiums. 5 stars truly

Just fitted my Swytch kit, very impressed so far, would like to get a thumb throttle for it now. Plus I have signed up for the next run as I would like to get a kit for my wife's bike, plus one for another beach cruiser I have. Fitting was easy, took my time to make sure it was right and works great.

I am so unbelievably happy with my Swytch kit. I have health issues that meant that I had started to struggle riding my bike but having the Swytch has massively helped that. Its genuinely a life changer. I didn't need anything fancy just a bit of assistance so I don't have to peddle as much and so that hills were easier and this does just that. The delivery took a little while but they were up front about that and kept me updated along the way. I didn't mind a long wait anyway but in the end it arrived quicker than I had expected so I was very happy. Not to mention the fact that it was so easy to fit, took me and my dad no time at all, honestly the hardest part was attaching the zip ties and i probably could have easily done it on my own. Could not recommend this product and company more.

I fitted a Swytch kit to a spare bike, around a year ago, and haven't used the others since. There is added weight but drag is minimal and certainly worth enduring for some assistance on the way back. Fitting was quick and easy and although I had a problem with the ESC, Swytch support were excellent. Highly recommended, I'm considering getting the new version, based on how well my current kit performs.
